Should claw machines with a predetermined payout be classified as gambling?

I played the claw machine as a kid and was really skilled WHEN IT WAS FAIR!
If it is predetermined / altered in anyway to RIG children out of as much money as possible then it is indeed gambling.

The same, I used to be skilled as a kid and ad no trouble winning, then they started rigging the grip and I couldn't wins no matter how good I played. Not just poor grip I've noticed, also noticed the prizes being more tightly packed together to make it harder when the machine does finally pay out.

@llorando I was skilled during the rigging days honestly, just couldn’t get past the rigged ones.
I even won TWO plushies in one claw lol.

From all the videos I've watched, I have the impression some are more rigged than others in terms of grip strength. The machines at my local Walmart, the grip is that it couldn't lift a helium filled balloon. Only managed to win one time from a rigged machine and it was a very lucky win in that one claw arms got stuck inside the animal.

@llorando Yeah, one rigged one slipped grip on a plush on purpose however after 8 quarters I was able to flip it over and over to the hole to get it in lol. I rigged the rigged machine.
