trump never said "drink bleach to treat covid".

the correct quote was "And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that."

it was a stupid question showing that his biological and medical understanding isn't very good. but it was nevertheless a question. not an instruction or a suggestion for what people should do.

there's enough shit that he did actually say to incriminate him. i do not condone using fake news and missinformation to frame a person even if you and me may not like that person.

like even this list of "media hoaxes" has itself bullshit statemends that are wrong. like quoting some hoaxes that were never a thing just missinformation and also claiming some things are "hoaxes" which we actually know are true like the lab leak theory.

like if you wanna make a list of hoaxes people fell for, you shouldn't have fallen for missinformation yourself in making this list xD

Not to nit pick, but I think you misunderstood the lableak part. It's saying that lab leak was true, and calling it a conspiracy theory was the hoax.

ok i guess i missunderstood. the problem is that the majority of people do not question the media. and "truth" is in a lot of circumstances something the individual can never know in a majority of these issues. because it's not something you can go and validate youself.

i like how Denzel Washington said it best: "if you do watch the news, you're missinformed, if you don't watch the news you are not informed". i choose the latter. which often means i have opinions different to the majority of people cause they watch the news.

Can 100% agree with that statement. It's important to temper information you intake with observation and life experiences to determine what's true.

Here are some more lies: 'Flatten the curve' (remember that one?), mobile crematoriums being used by Russia in Ukraine in order to incinerate their own dead troops (what a joke, something like that wouldn't even work), Ukraine is a democracy and is fighting for freedom, Putin expects to win in Ukraine in just a few days (an utterly ridiculous claim, given the size of Ukraine and its level of urbanisation), Western sanctions actually work and continue to do so, "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq (used to justify the war in 2003), Syrian government used chemical weapons against its own people, the war in Gaza isn't genocidal, the "Russian threat" (because America needs a perpetual enemy in order to justify it's ridiculous level of military spending), and the denial of Saudi government involvement in Sept. 11 (most of the hijackers were Saudi, but let's not mention that inconvenient truth).

Absolutely no one should ever trust those assholes ever again! They NEVER tell the truth, ever!

Because when the lies are proven wrong, that same media that fed the lies to the people NEVER broadcasts for their viewers that it was a lie.

like “OH hello we are here to inform you that the Russian collusion was made up by democrats 🤭oooopsies. It was all a lie, “

    They never do that.
they need to keep the people stupid to keep their support.

it is up to the people to find it themselves and most are too busy with their everyday life and problems that most don’t go out of their way to try to find information

and the ones that try a little, only search filtered information such as Google or yahoo which highly FILtERs their searches to keep them under the same narrative that Russia is at fault and we are the hero’s etc.

They also have the fact checks that have many times proven they are lies but passed as “fact checks” and they still show up on those search engines even after they’ve been disproven.

they never go back to correct the LIES even when they’ve been proven to be fake.

Not only do they not correct the lie, they continue it! They're STILL blabbering about Trump being a Russian agent and Biden even said Trump called NAZIS "fine people" during the debate! He said it right in front of Jake Tapper, who actually did correct the record when the "unedited" version came out later.

I think you should think for yourself and do your own research for sure if you read or hear something that you're told is "the absolute" truth, but don't sit here and tell me CNN is the devil, and you hold up Fox News as the bastion of real verified news. Anything piped in to the masses is owned and manipulated. It is not just conversative or liberal media sources, it's all sources. Smart people know and understand that and think and research for themselves accordingly.

Considering that, is it true that there was an assassination attempt on trump? The media said so, even though his blood looked too red.

Couldn't it all be a false flag operation with paid actors to make trump a martyr so that he'll win the election in a landslide? Should I start harrassing the so-called "firefighter"'s family and relatives who supposedly "died" on Saturday?

Or does "not trusting the media" just means choosing the dumb conspiracy theories you want to believe in when the facts don't serve your worldview?

I don't, trust is for the gullible.

The only media worth watching is entertainment media, artistic media, and scientific media.

The first is meant to be fictional, the second is meant to be subjective, and the third is forced to actually verify claims (which you can then test yourself/cross reference/observe evidence, etc.).

Any other kind of media is a crapshoot of lies, truths, half truths, and guesswork.
Political media is probably the second worst offender of bullshitting, second only to religious media, with civil history in third place, and general current event news coming in fourth.

I don't even watch TV or news starting from like 2009.

I remember one time when I was a kid and I decided "news? what's news like?" and there it is, the German news outlets blaming video games for school shootings and I was an avid gamer. It was the first and last news I actively watched. Never again.

It was probably the best way to teach me about the media from the get go.

I became aware of the most notable things like COVID-19 only as soon as I bumped into it or when GAG couldn't shut up about it with stupid questions for a long time.

The media has to be taken as a whole. You see the news then dig deeper. Never get your news from just one or two sources.

And yes, Trump did say there were fine people on BOTH sides of the Charlottesville protests. That was not fake news. As far as Jessie Smolette, the news reported what they were told, and when the story fell apart, they reported that.

I'm not going to go through that entire list, but some of that was not promoted by the news but by commentators on the nightly talking head shows.

@captain_voidwalker You've got to be kidding me.

During the riot and attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 140 police officers were injured and 5 gave their lives. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick died of a stroke from injuries sustained during the riot. Four other police officers died by suicide in the days and months following the attack: Howard Liebengood, Jeffrey Smith, Kyle DeFreytag and Gunther Hashida.

      1. Black angry racist shithead because the driver there was black? What the fuck are you even talking about? 😄

      2. I'm assuming that you're referring to the shooting of Aaron Danielson? That's the only casualty from the Portland riots of 2020 and only two shots were fired. His antifa murderer was shot dead by the police a couple days after the killing.

      3. The word "sympathy" is indeed between the words "shit", "syphilis" and many others like "sodomite" and "shitheel". That's just how the alphabetical order of a dictionary works.

That's 100% antifa's fault. Play stupid games win stupid prizes

Mainstream media should never be believed. Its job is mind control. It's ironic that all outlets are unified in blocking and censoring any information that diverges from the official narrative but then calls people who ask questions "conspiracy theorists", and refers to other information as "fake news". Nothing could be more fake than msm.

The media used to be trustworthy. Years ago, Americans relied on Edward R Murrows, Walrer Cronkite, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley and others, true journalists, to report the news factually.

Since then, the media has changed from journalists who take the time to verify the story, to persons trained in entertainment, with instantaneous reporting, verifiable sources be damned.

It's not like it was obvious that the nedia didn't know that Biden was a rung higher than a zombie. There were news articles telling him to stay alive so that he can be used to oust Trump.

The fact that the media has such an obvious bias should be a massive red flag but people just don't see it.

The corporate media was very craven concerning Trump's grifting and crimes while in office because of media mergers in which largely rightist press barons have monopolized the media. (Nixon would have gotten away with Watergate today.)

@captain_voidwalker No I mean the time when a bunch of rednecks, and hillbillies and cowards attempted to overturn the results of an election by storming the site of the certification ceremony on Jan 6th 2021.

@captain_voidwalker If by "you people" you mean every college educated person in the world then you are probably correct. I'm not sure if you're being accused of being in a cult as much as being judged on the level of delusion each person within the cult exhibits. Apparently you exhibit more than the average.

A scholarship... so you still needed my tax dollars to go to college. And all so you can dance on a basketball court for the how did you call them , ahh yes the white mans amusment.

The fact that you had to drag race into this conversation tells me all I need to know. You have no argument and you have zero ability to think for yourself.
Ohh and before you go screaming about my "white privilege" I'm Hispanic so you can shove that privilege bullshit up yer ass

@captain_voidwalker I see you fail to understand how athletic Scholarships work as well, perhaps you should have tried to get an education, even if you're not good at anything. Seeing how I'm the one that left school w/ two degrees, no student debt and opportunity to make significant money, it looks like I'm the only one laughing.
You responded to my comment, don't get quite now just because you're not able to formulate an articulate argument, you should have at least attempted higher education. It does validate the theory that the only people that support Cheetoe are those w/out higher education. Now it makes perfect sense why you believe that breaking and entering isn't a crime.

Ohh I laugh quite hysterically while you were at school I was running my own electrician business. Not only do I live a good life with lots of money but I pay my employees well so they to can enjoy happy lives. So much so that I'm a god father to 2 of my employees children.

@captain_voidwalker That is great! The world needs Ditch diggers too, I certainly wouldn't want to be an electrician but then again I have talent. Plus I may need to hire you out to work on one of my properties, maybe not you specifically because Blue Collar non thinkers are a dime a dozen. If your life was as good as you claim why are you spending your time committing federal crimes? Just a thought. But yes obviously my parents are proud, I didn't end up an electrician.

@captain_voidwalker I don't think that blue collar people are stupid. You're stupid, but that's only because you choose not to get an education. AI is going to replace me? What do I do for a living? I'm not making fun of Ditch diggers I literally just said that the world needs them. I doubt I'm replaceable the one thing that the world always needs is talented people. It's not fair for me to explain this to you because as you've demonstrated you're not educated enough to understand these concepts.

Firstly I'm highly educated, I have a masters in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. And I payed my way through my schooling by bieng an electrician. Talented son I've wired up everything from houses to nuclear submarines. You don't do that shit without talent.
I'm not an electrician now I said I run an electrician business. But I was an electrician and worked hard to get where I am.
And what are your talents. Ohhhh you can bounce a ball up and down. Real human advancing stuff there.

@captain_voidwalker I hate to break this to you but by you're own definition you're not educated. For starters you now are claiming a "masters" in electrical engineering but u originally claimed college was to "steal money from people like you" Also u apparently don't understand the definition of talent, because the fact that you had to go to school to learn this skill by definition means you're not talented. I'm sure you worked hard, but unfortunately successful people work smart. I used my talent at bouncing a ball to provide tangible opportunities for myself in the world which is what smart people do. It's because if your lack of education that you're not able to extrapolate from that. You're so concerned about trying to find and insult because I'm embarrassing you that you're forced to make up random things that aren't true. This is another trait of stupid people. Which are the same people that try to convince someone to not believe their lying eyes. TY for validating my point.

I belive my original premise was that degrees don't impress me I've seen what college produces. How do you think I arrived at that conclusion, I got to see it first hand. And I only went to expand my clientele and grow my business because unfortunately a lot of people mistakenly still put stock in college degrees. As for the quip about government stealing money to pay of student loans , you and I both know there's a huge amount of college kids whining about needing student loan forgiveness.

@captain_voidwalker I'm not sure why you believe anyone is interested in impressing you. You arrived at thar conclusion, as a way to deflect from the fact that your argument contradicts yourself. On one hand people should believe the media when a known liar claims to have been shot but they shouldn't believe the media when people witness tens of thousands of people committing felonies? People don't "mistakenly" put stock in college degrees, by definition most high paying jobs and industries require college degrees, along w/ almost all the important essential trades in the world. Dr's, Lawyers, etc, you yourself even admitted to having to spend money for a masters degree, because you lacked talent or brains to receive a scholarship. I can't speak to someone else's loans, again I have talented so I was paid to get an education. I'm am anthlete still work I'm basketball and associate mostly with other athletes or talented people so I know few people thst need loans yo go to school. TBH all of your beliefs fall in line w/ someone who supports Cheetoe, or tries to tell people not to believe what they see.
