The way to defeat Mr. Trump, as I see it, is with ballots, not bullets as he is not in office and thus cannot enact any controversial policies. Should he be re-elected, he likely won't be able to subvert the U. S. Constitution, as he'd have far too many folk in authoritative positions who'd be able to ignore or countermand his orders.

For now, Mr. Trump appears merely superficially wounded, and that is the most important immediate concern.
