Pennsylvania has a closed primary. So you have to register with a specific party to vote in their primary. He also gave money to Act Blue. Considering that the DNC presidential primary was a foregone conclusion once they got RFK Jr out. There was no incentive for anyone in Pennsylvania to not register as a Republican for the primary.

Being registered as a Republican doesn’t automatically mean you are right-leaning. Registering as a Democrat doesn’t automatically make you left-leaning. Plenty of people register as one party and vote for others.
