Yo everyone should have toned down the rhetoric ages ago and let politics be boring again. Like please, I want boring politics. I want people sitting there discussing the best way to save an endangered frog population or how exactly to structure a new public welfare program, not the constant villainization of public figures (namely presidential candidates) and minority groups (queer people, ethnic minorities, women seeking abortions, etc). Don't get me wrong, I don't like trump in the slightest and I don't think that he is a good choice for the country by any means (not too thrilled with biden as a choice either of course)), but can we please just chill and talk actual politics as opposed to hating on literally everyone who's different from us 😭
It's always been lopsided. It's about time some sides stopped biting their tongues. Kindly speak your peace then vote.
Sure, but there isn't really any rhetoric coming from democrats. Democrats don't have to resort to rhetoric when they can quote Trump directly when he says thing like "I will be a dictator on day one." It's not rhetoric to take the writers of project 2025 at their word. That's actually their plan. They wrote it down - 900 pages of it, in fact. The democrats aren't making it up. It would be a problem if democrats were exaggerating but democrats don't have to exaggerate to make it look bad. Republicans are just trying to exploit this opportunity it to do the "stop saying true things" thing - which considering how extreme project 2025 is, trying to pretend it is routine politics would qualify as rhetoric as well.
Yes. He who shouts the loudest is heard.
It's really the time for dems and others to speak up already, show the strength.
The left has spent almost a decade calling Republicans nazis, white supremacists, russian spies, extremists, racists, bigots, insurrectionists, fascists, threats to democracy and terrorists.

100%, and it's not just Republicans and Democrats, media outlets also need to tone down the rhetoric.
Yes, I agree. I look forward to hearing what Trump has to say in his speech later this week.
They should, but they won't. MAGA will still say democrats are traitors and pedophiles who hate the US.
Both parties are controlled by the same evil zionist entity and there'll be no toning down until this country is destroyed for their New World Order.
But they won't, especially the GOP. ("Goobers, Oddballs, Popinjays").
