"And then they came for me."

"And then they came for me."
They toppled monuments and tore up the cobblestones
"This one is with us, that one against us!"
"Whoever is alone is our worst enemy!"
And the singer was also alone
this is a fragment from the ballad titled "Mury" by the greatest political bard of communist Poland, Jacek Kaczmarski...
There are many texts, poetry, especially political ones, that depict the author (the singer in the ballad is Kaczmarski) as someone unaligned with factions, observing matters from the outside.
This wasn't true for Kaczmarski, who was deeply involved in anti-government movements. In the ballad, Kaczmarski also shows how a person who started a political movement can become its victim.
Honestly, I prefer this type of texts to love poems, it's food for thought.
That's why the world needs to stop it in Ukraine and Americans need to stop it here. We are on the precipice...
It’s how governments silence people in society, they get everyone used to having a bad bit of society, they remove and control it, then move onto the next. It can be done over generations, that way by the time people notice, it’s too late. Social media is the modern way to start those stories, those rumours and direct hate against groups to alienate them, remove them from having a voice, finding something others will denounce.
Communists -> Trans people
Socialists -> Immigrants
Trade Unionists -> Gay people
Jews -> Jews
Then come Democrats, trade unionists, etc., all perfectly legal, according to an utterly corrupt SCOTUS.

Kinda legit tbh. You speak out to protect other people and hope that they will do the same. Kindness begets kindness.
Sounds like Project 2025...
Totally true
