The meadows are adorned with the colors of springtime.
Blue, pink, yellow, green, and red pastels all enshrouded the field.
The fragrance of their blossoms fills the air like an aromatic symphony.
The wildflowers are here again.
Honeysuckle, Lavender, lilies of the valley.
The Black Eyed Susans glow yellow in the sea of floral bliss.
Tall sunflowers tower overhead.
It’s a magical awakening of the Earth.
Lovely lady, in a green sundress.
Brown hair flowing in the wind, down to her back.
Her soul is free and wild.
Like the sea of wildflowers in the meadow.
The creek flows along the west hillside.
The sun sets low along the horizon.
The blue moonlight hits the purple sky.
As my eyes look upon the fields.
The dew on the cat grass shines in the misty moonlight.
Her smile greets me in the meadow.
The Arizona violets shine in the moon as well.
The daisies and tulips spy on the wonder of the earth.
Snapdragons and baby’s breath all around me.
A colorful cavalcade of beauty abounds.
But, the prettiest wildflower of them all?
She is the one who lets her soul be free.
i love poetry but I haven’t had a feeling to write it in a while. I only do it when it strikes me.
