That would be the reality, another country would need to take the US place.

Assuming the US left, France would likely side with Russia, the vote for the 5 Permanent members with ability to veto etc. China, Russia and very likely France would then vote on the replacement, India, Pakistan, North Korea, Israel.

The 5 Permanent members would have final say on all global events, let’s say it’s Pakistan (there is WW3 if that happened).

Equally leaving NATO, that is handing Russia and China freedom to do what they want globally.

For Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and others others the mere suggestion of the US leaving the UN and or NATO must given them a hard on, something they could not even dream about and the US doing on their own.

If he’s in to appeasement with the Russians, he can do that without leaving UN, just make sure he supports all their requests.

Congress actually passed legislation prohibiting the president from taking unilateral action in withdrawing from NATO.

But no for all Trumps talk I don't think he'd actually do it. It was said that there was many times during his presidency that Trump wanted to attack Iran and had to be talked out of it. At the end of the day a good leader KNOWS enough to listen to his advisors. Even if he doesn't always take thier advice. This is why presidents have cabinets.

No. Oh sorry man, I misread the question. NATO is a treaty made up of many U. N. countries that works within the framework of the U. N., not the U. N. itself.
As far as Trumps ability to pull out of it, that would depend on how you mean that. He couldn't officially do it as he would need an act of congress to make it binding. He could however do it by executive order during his term and choose not support it any any way during his term.

No. His military advisors would strongly argue against it. Remember NATO members would also have to help the USA should they go to war with China or Korea, it's not all about Europe.

Also American forces and equipment in Europe are there to protect America not Europe, they allow the USA to strike Russia a lot quicker and easier than the other way round. It would be stupid to give up that advantage.

In my opinion. The UN only seems to worry about the freedoms that the United States citizens enjoy. Like outlawing guns. But in the meantime. Every time, it seems that you see a Middle East country on television. Every man and boy in the street is carrying a rifle. Most of the time shooting into the air.
With two wars currently ongoing. Why isn’t the UN doing something to stop them.
This to me is their duty to keep peace throughout the world.

What will likely happen is that Trump gets Russia to agree to end the war, Russia keeps the territory they have gained, and Ukraine gets NATO membership after the war is officially over so no new wars will happen.
