Any other Dems agree, that Handing Harris the Democratic nomination his handing Trump the White House?

As a Dem, it's my opinion that party leaders are making a big mistake handing Harris the Democratic nomination instead of holding an open convention, and truly believe its going to give Trump the election. Just curious if any other Democrats feel the same way. I'm not trying to be racist or anything, just being honest that handing Harris the nomination is going to result in Trump winning. I'll reluctantly vote for Harris even though I know deep down her chances of winning are very slim.

Turns out I was correct, Harris lost swing states that Biden won in 2020.

Trump & Vance refuse to debate until she is indeed the nominee even though Trump debated Biden before the nomination also recently Barack Obama, Michele Obama, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, etc. endorsed her. Democratic Party is ready to make her the nominee virtually before the DNC as announced. 94% of Dems in House of Rep. supports her & 100% of Dem Governors support her along with 90% of Senate supports her, she has all the delegates she needs for the nomination. Kamala Harris is going to be the nominee and defeat Trump!

It really wasn't that hard to see Harris couldn't win, she did poorly during the 2020 primaries, didn't distance herself from Biden or Israel and really didn't offer much beyond I'm not Trump. To, top it all off, some of her supporters were hostile to potential voters causing them to stay home or vote Trump/3rd party out of spite. @dustybikers was a good example of hostility but admins decided to remove her opinion.

It's really up in the air he got beaten by Biden after all which nobody wanted.
Harris is the same to Hillary which is the major concern however I do think that speech she made was actually pretty well done, and playing into her been a prosecutor while he's a literal criminal is funny.
Her views on student debt seem good too.
I don't know we'll just have to see. Will say another factor is people just like change, and will be sick of hearing about Trump.

But to end it all she's a woman maybe she can do an Obama but honestly more people are sexist than racist.

The problem wasn't that Harris is a woman, and voters are sexist (a small number are but not enough to matter), the problem was, she was a poor campaigner with an unlikeable personality, who really didn't give voters a reason to vote for her other than "I'm not Trump". Even Micheal Obama was polling higher than Harris.

Oh it certainly matters, thinking it don't is ignorant to how big of a factor that is especially in America. In fact we've just seen heighten racism due to the whole Visa debate with musk. Americans are still easily swayed into racists and sexist thoughts, hell abortion is a debate over there.

These for sure factor into why someone may get voted in. And I don't think it's a susprise that two women lost to Trump, but a senlie Biden who nobody wanted won over Trump.

I ain't saying it's the only reason. But it's for sure a substantial factor.

There is no time for a better candidate to muster votes. She has experience at least. And best she isn't a criminal, she won't be as likely to embarrass the country to foreign leaders, and she won't die of old age in the oval office.

My guess is the plan all along was to make Harris nominee, they knew she couldn't win the primary just like 2020, so they handed it to Biden with the intention of him dropping out at the last minute making it next to impossible to pick someone other than Harris. Doesn't surprise me seeing as the DNC stole the primary from Sanders resulting in Trump winning.

I am a progressive. And this will be my last year voting Democrat, I'm done with the party who rigged their primary 3 elections in a row.

I held the same view and was attacked by fellow Democrats for being sexist and racist for not wanting a woman of color for president. The issue wasn't that I didn't want a woman of color for president, the issue was Harris was an empty suit with nothing to offer other than I'm not Trump.

I don't underestimate the DNCs willingness to cheat. It's not a foregone conclusion he will win. If the elections were fair, definitely.

Honestly disagree, Harris is popular among most Democrats, but not well like among Independents and Republicans. Most independents and Republicans don't care what a candidates gender and race is, they just vote based on who they feel is best suited for the job. Trump is a big bull shitter and knows how to talk a talk even if it's all lies, while Harris is not so good at public speaking and has an annoying laugh she does to cover up her nervousness. Most voters these days have short attention spans, when watching debates, how something is being said is more important than what's being said.
