What is your E. D. C (Every day carry)?

With how bad things are getting politically, I’m in the market for a compact. In the event things get nasty, if people are going around being violent I’d want to have something to protect myself from radical people.


I want to get a SIG M18. I definitely do not want a hammer fired handgun either.


Any personal recommendations are greatly welcomed

As a rule I do not carry my gun. But I do have a Thumb break holster for my S&W model 66. On occasion i take it with me when I go out.

I have a conceal carry permit. I had to pull a few strings to get it. Once in a while i carry it under my jacket. I might buy a small auto. .

Yep that's exactly what it is, although I know a binary trigger might be a better choice just cause of concealment reasons, but I heard there's these new switches that go inside the gun, I don't know how often cops open up guns to look inside of them but I think it's a lot better than a switch thats clearly visible on the end of the slide.

The P365 doesn't have a safety either. The only reason the M17/M18 have one is because the military insisted on having an ambidextrous safety before granting the contract. Other P320 models don't have it. As far as I'm concerned, the only real safety is me.

It's better that way, safety can get you killed in certain circumstances but I guess in war moments because of adrenaline, you can accidentally shoot yourself

I heard about the P365 I don't know how much similarities it has to the P320/M18

The P365 is a micro compact striker-fired 9mm. The P320 M18 is a more compact version of the full size P320 M17, but still pretty bulky. With the right rig, the M18 can still be concealed. I have both pistols, but the 365 is the easiest to conceal without printing because I’m small.

I just looked up the specs. The P365 has a shorter barrel. I rather have the M18 though because I can put a flashlight on it. I don’t think I’m gonna have any issue with printing.

You might also look at the other P320 models as well. I think the average size man can conceal the M18 pretty well. It just doesn't work out well for me because I'm under 5' and weigh under 90 pounds. The M18 is new in the box, haven't fired it yet. I won it in a raffle. I have an infant at home so I don't get much chance to get out let alone get in some good range time.

If your heart is set on the M18 it’s a good choice. Might also want to look at the HK VP9SK. Probably a couple hundred or so more, but it’s a sweetheart of a pistol to shoot.

I think there’s a CA and OR compliant version of the VP9Sk. Danged if I know what this difference is. I love the trigger guard mag release, and it comes with different size grip inserts so even with my little paws I can shoot it well.

Most of my guns are handguns.

They all have their own perks. h&k has a better decocker than SIG, I have to admit. But the mag release is nicer on my P226

But the best trigger has to go to my 1911
