1 yNope. Tom Lehrer did a song about this. And come to think of it, since he moved all his stuff into the public domain... https://archive.org/download/The_Remains_of_Tom_Lehrer_Public_Domain/49%20We%20Will%20All%20Go%20Together%20When%20We%20Go.mp3

Finally!!!
I'll be sad for the half. Especially if people I love. But it's something certainly needed. I kind of agree with the Matrix when it said humans are the worst virus on Earth, multiplying, consuming and destroying everything in their path!

Lol, a little bit extreme... but I most certainly understand the sentiment. I support programs, like a 1-child program, to reduce the World Population over the duration of several generations and after that of course will be controlled as to not let it spiral out of control again đŸ˜‰

What makes you think there's going to be a nuclear war. I mean beyond what we've already know for the past 75 years.

I have red a book about it. There was a scientist who gain power to travel heaven and hell and he saw the future.

@Unit1 I don't know if that's how it goes for everyone.
It entirely depends on whether the desperation to do so has been building up over time and has given you the time to research; or if it is a 'spur of the moment' thing.
The first time was definitely in the spur of the moment; 2-5 were all on the same day, and I kept improving with each attempt. The 3rd attempt of that day should have all means succeeded; I was conscious, but the cord snapped and I woke up after I had dropped on my bathroom floor. That last attempt on that day was just one out of desperation; I was too destressed and I was in pain. - 1 y
@Unit1 Yes, it is all very distressing. And generally people who have reached that point are genuine, so if it fails then disappointment also plays a part.
The first time I was determined... I did take 60-70 painkillers: Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Paracetamol, and Co-Codamol. Ex was, probably still is, a Painkiller hoarder... so that's why I went for that, its availability... but not overly disappointed I had failed. The other times were slightly different.
I am relieved now, of course, but I am 'dead'; I've got no motivation nor energy to go forwards. The British Healthcare service is, if it hasn't done so already, collapsing and there's as good as no support available. So I just keep moving on, existing, hoping better time will come.
I do notice I am slowly improving, but physically I am now also now doing very well (getting old lol)... so that in turn affects my mental state too again. - 1 y
Why do you hate your own life?
- 1 y
I sense you speak just like a broken beyond repair soul. There's many more of us. Dead but alive. Our organs are not giving up on us when we mentally feel like it's overdue.
Unlike the pussies, that attempted suicide and later say something like "its not worth it" to the others. They weren't destroyed beyond repair.
Feels like some sort of a constricting prison, doesn't it? - 1 y
@Unit1 It is indeed a prison; I have always felt trapped... in life. This is not the kind of life I want, or thought I was going to have as a child. And no matter how hard I try, I cannot get out of it.
Something which features a lot on my body, tattoo wise, is Spiderwebs; a Spiderweb symbolises "Trapped". People of course associate it with being 'Trapped in Prison'... but Life can be a prison too (never been to prison, nor arrested); a relationship can be a prison; financial situation, etc. I suspect I may suffer from Agoraphobia too: The Fear of getting trapped [in situations] with seemingly no way out. It is the main reason why I don't go out, it's not people. I like Strangers, Strangers can't hurt me (sure.. they can hit me, so what? :P)... I am very easy to approach and love getting into conversations with Strangers... but always when I go out there is something.
Sure, I may have somewhat better periods... but I am always being pulled back to a dark place. What I do is existing, not surviving... not living.
I do support assisted suicide; in my country of birth, which is the Netherlands (I live in the UK now, it is available. Of course it is very difficult to actually get granted the right to assisted suicide... it can take many years... but it is possible. It wouldn't surprise me if it is on Youtube, a young lady has recorded the whole process I believe.
I don't know if it would be for me... I do think that buried deep, under all that despair, there is still a shred of hope left. This young lady didn't have kids, I do have 2 kids. If I don't want to keep on living for myself, I do have to keep on living for my children. - 1 y
Touche for the kids part.
As for the assisted suicide part I was gonna mention the Sarcopod in Switzerland. Switzerland is so awesome, that if you got really, really tired of life (like us), you can simply go and get into a Sarcopod and self-euthanize yourself, fall asleep as if you're getting general anesthesia and never wake up. But it's Switzerland, almost nobody there is sad enough to actually need it. This is the bare minimum standard life should offer. Like a fun video game, that you don't want to end but you can. The irony here is that you can self-euthanize yourself where you don't want to and you can't where you absolutely want to.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarco_pod
Others of course can't fathom it "oh, life's awesome. it's like being spongebob and you're just a squidward. do A, B, C, jesus, its all in your head" GAH! Thinking about those weirdos almost makes me angry. - 1 y
@Unit1 Oh I didn't know it was possible in Switzerland too; I did know that people who are terminally ill can go there and have their lives being terminated instead of going through a long, agonising death.
Yeah, Switzerland is a nice country... expensive, but very beautiful; I've been many times on holiday to the Alps as a child... My childhood, up till my pre-teens, can be described as very good. If only I could go back to that time - 1 y
@Unit1 It's just the most human thing to do. Every human life is valuable, of course... but is it really morally right to force someone to prolong his/ her life long after body and/ or soul have given up? I don't think it is. I firmly everyone should be in control of his/ her life... and thus also death.

1 yNo. This planet could use a good culling of several billion people.

Yes, I fully agree. I firmly believe this planet is not meant to hold 7 billion people.
A reduction in the World Population will have so many benefits. I do believe a 1-child policy can work to reduce the population significantly over a few generations.
In China in failed due to various reasons, but one was the parents preferred boys because they were more economically beneficial to the family. It's outdated now, of course, that boys will become more financially prosperous, but with proper funding and support struggling families can be supported of course.
But as per usual, everything comes down to money: Bigger World Population = More Workers = Lower wages/ High Profits... and the establishment needs cannon-fodder for their wars. - 1 y
@Skinhead-1979 agreed. In china the had "scan ladies" who would bike from village to village with portable ultrasound kit which led ti about 100 MILLION baby gurls aborted. The CCP leadership is SCARED SHITLESS about angry young men not having marriage prospects, real estate or jobs. Any student of history KNOWS thats not the group of people you want listless and vulnerable.

I don't know the details, but I will take your word for it; Prohibiting Abortions really won't reduce the amount of Abortions, Women will be forced to resort to less 'kosher' options to have their foetus removed with many horrible complications as a result.
The 'Clothes hanger' will be used again in extreme cases...
