What's your opinion about the ongoing mini war between Lebanon & Israel?

Actually it ain't a war between a whole country VS another whole country, it's a mini war between a part of my country and a number of people in my country against the so called Israel or occupied Palestine!

This mini war might turn into a regional war at any moment (i hope not)...

People must understand that there's nothing worst from being put in a place that you don't want to be in the 1st place!

The 2 sides who are in war against each other must respect that there's a big number of people who doesn't want all this war and they just want to live in peace!

In a war, you must always remember to fight the ones who are fighting you and keep the innocent ones out of your target because they didn't chose to be in this war from the 1st place and they aren't doing any harm on both sides, it's just that each side of this war shouldn't spill their anger or loss on people who are innocent and doesn't have to do anything with all what's going on now!

War is the most unintelligent argument anyone can put forward.

Why must millions and trillions of people pay the price for a small group of politicians decisions? It's just dumb. Noone can convince me that slaughtering people en mass is a solution to the crimes of a few.

Those who chant for war have never experienced the horrors themselves. I also hate those who provoke others into war. It's childish, massively irresponsible and quiet frankly psychotic.

There is always a bigger picture to war. Whether it be a land-grab, resources or other. Usually it all comes out 20 years afterwards when people will care much less. History repeats constantly itself and noone learns. It's embarrassing how much we get swept up in the same old lie.

Tony I had no idea that was going on because I stopped watching TV or the news for months now.

There is just too much going on too fast and I just need to live ☮️ peacefully now.

It was just way too much change and too many lies for me to watch anymore. I feel very peaceful now. It was the right thing for me to do.

Actually i laugh at these people, because look about what they are fighting, none of them have god in their hearts, instead of wars and weapons which we use against each other, we should be working and laying down all our efforts for the sake of humanity, for the sake to make our home planet a better world from all aspects, to fight any upcoming diseases, to fight any upcoming natural and spacial disasters, we are living on a floating rock in space and yet we are fighting each other like wild animals, if there was an advanced life watching us, they would be shaking their heads about how primitive and thristy for blood and death we are!

I'm not saying that the darkness can be 100% eliminated with the existence of all these people around the world, but i'm just wondering why let satan gets the majority of us instead of us being the ones who are the majority because we are the light!

Israel has always had territorial aspirations in Southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah got set up with the sole purpose of protecting Shi'ites (Something the Amal movement didn't do very well) and ejecting Israel from Southern Lebanon during the Lebanese 'Civil' War.

Israel invaded Southern Lebanon again in 2006 but got humiliated by Hezbollah.

Lebanon is divided along sectarian lines; always has been the case. The 'Civil' war started when the PLO, a secular organisation though dominated by Sunni Muslims, fled to Lebanon after having been ousted from Jordan.

Jordan has a very large Palestinian population, it's being said 60% of Jordan's population is Palestinian. During the 1970s the Palestinians demanded greater Rights which led to 'Black September' in 1971; the Jordanian Civil War.

Because the PLO moved into Lebanon, it greatly upset the balance in that country. The Christian Maronite minority rules the country (due to its close links with France). Therefor the PLO and Maronite Christian got into open conflict which became the start of the Lebanese Civil War.

Both the PLO and Maronites attacked the Shi'ites and the Druze too; both groups formed their own paramilitary groups to defend their communities.

And then Israel invades in 1982... There have been several atrocities committed on refugee camps by Israel with support of the Maronites (Sabra and Shatila massacre). And Christians were being recruited by Israel to set up some sort of Paramilitary Force to defend Southern Lebanon after Israel would pull back.

While Amal is a secular Shi'ite organisation, Hezbollah feels Amal is not going far enough and compromises too much.

The odd situation now in Lebanon is that the old enemies, the Maronites and Hezbollah, are closely linked: Allies even... and the political group which represents the Sunnis is being seen as a 'Pariah' due to its close links with Saudi Arabia (Wahhabism is not being recognised as Mainstream Islam, but as Extremist, and there's a lot of opposition against in the Muslim world). Hezbollah is well entrenched in all layers of Lebanese society; it is an integral part of it.

The nation's military is impotent, also divided along sectarian line, and lacks everything.

Whether people like it or not... Hezbollah is the only credible force within Lebanon which can keep Israel out of Southern Lebanon and defeat it.

So if a war is going to happen between Israel and Lebanon, it is still a war between those 2 countries (Israel bombs indiscriminately and does not distinguish between Lebanese civilians and Hezbollah; this war is going to be a 'Total War'); but it will be Hezbollah which will defend the country and its people, defeat Israel and kick it out of Lebanon.

BUT let me correct some things that you have mentioned which aren't totally correct about my nation...

1st, the maronite christians aren't all supporters of hezbollah, actually the majority of christians are against hezbollah, even the small part of christians who supports him have some issues with him when it comes to ideology and foreign politics, which meana 98% of lebanese christians are totally against this ongoing war between hezbollah and Israel!

2nd, why do i have a country and a government if one man is going to rule everything with his finger? As you have mentioned that Lebanon ain't only composed of muslim shiites, what about the others? In a respectful country where there's a real law and order, the decision of war is taken by the whope parties that represents this country, for example: hassan nasrallah and his militia do not represent me, only my country and my official army represents me!

3rd, instead of giving hezbollah all the weapons and power to fight israel, why wasn't it given to the official army which respresents everyone in my country, for example: why does there always have to be a side stronger and more powerful than the other? Why a group of people should be above the law because they belong to a powerful partie while others beneath the law because they are weak and do not have armed men and heavy weapons?

Finally, why would i initiate a war against israel if israel didn't attack me 1st? As long as i can build some peace bonds or agreements why would i put myself and people and a whole country in a war? Plus why would i wait for hezbollah to fight for me? Why doesn't my country fight for me!

I'm a lebanese citizen, not a soldier who does what Iran commands me to do!

It's either your Lebanese or not, he can't start a war by himself and than ask me where am i?

Anyways, i really hope that this war stops at a point before it becomes regional!

Due to limitations how much you can type (it seems to vary a lot) and not everyone being interested in a 'wall of text', I always, initially, try to keep my 'Opinions' somewhat compressed and thus have to leave details out. So yes, I know I haven't been entirely correct in what I have said in my short statement. I always hope to open dialogue with people, and I welcome any challenges to what I have said as long as they have of course been done in a decent manner.

I most certainly agree with everything you've said. When I said '"Maronite Christians support Hezbollah" I mainly meant that from a political point of view. Michel Aoun, former president of Lebanon, was an enemy of Hassan Nasrallah, yet since the conclusion of the 'Civil' war their parties and the people they, largely, represent have drawn together. That in itself is quite remarkable and significant.
Though I do have to admit that I did assume support amongst Maronite Christians for Hezbollah was largely universal. I listen to the music of Lebanese-Christian singers like Julia Boutros who honours Hezbollah and Hamas quite a bit. So while I am of course fully aware that not all Maronite Christians support Hezbollah, I am/ was under the impression that support is high. Hezbollah still pursues the creation of an 'Islamic Theocracy' (As is the case in Iran), as far as I am aware, which of course won't find much support amongst Christians. Lebanon is a Secular Country.

One of the things I support the most internationally is 'National Integrity'; I can't think of a single situation in which I support the division of a nation other than the UK (Arguably it is not a country; Wales, Scotland, Ireland (united) and England... those are the countries). So I am also highly in favour of Lebanese National Unity, and thus also a united national military organisation which can defend the country independently; but the wounds of the Civil War still run deep, coupled with many outside interference. Hezbollah is as powerful as it is due to as good as unconditional support from Iran and other players; no doubt Hezbollah enjoys some support from Russia too because they are allies in Syria.
Lebanon has been financially 'destroyed'; I say 'destroyed' because I cannot help feeling that the US played a role in Lebanon's financial crises to force Lebanon to submit to US demands (UK, France, etc may play a role in that too). Therefor the Lebanese army cannot be trained and supplied, and isn't capable of defending Lebanon. That creates the odd, difficult, situation that Hezbollah is the only force which can keep any threat of Lebanon; and it is indisputable that the threat comes from Israel. Would Lebanon's economy recover and grow and thus the national military can be trained and supplied properly, the need for the military wing of Hezbollah will wane and I am support for Hezbollah will dwindle too. The Military Wing of Hezbollah may even be integrated into the Lebanese military then because Hezbollah does poses a lot of military knowledge and now as the result of the Syrian 'Civil' war Conventional Combat experience too (From what I can gather, Hezbollah did struggle in regular combat situations but have gained substantial experience gradually through the Syrian 'Civil' War).

Lebanon and the Lebanese people, regardless of their sectarian background, haven't done anything wrong. While Lebanon has been independent since 1943, former colonial powers have never left the country alone (France and Britain). Then a rogue State appears on her borders, Israel, which has many territorial aspirations in the region, including Lebanon. Syria had territorial aspirations in Lebanon, hence why Syria got involved in the 'Civil' war too.
All the countries which could assist Lebanon in creating a united, prosperous country choose not to do that because a united, prosperous independent Lebanon does not suit their needs.

While I firmly support the Palestinians, and any resistance against Zionism and Western Imperialism, and thus I do support Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah, etc... Of course I wants this all to stop too, and 'pray' (I am not even religious) that war will be avoided. If war breaks out, it has the potential of becoming nuclear too (Israel's 'Samson Option). People will die, lots of people, on all sides... any death, regardless to which side he/ she belongs... is one too many.

It's not Lebanon pushing for war with Israel; not even Hezbollah is pushing for war. Hezbollah, Iran and Ansar Allah, have been very clear: When Israel stops bombing Gaza... Hezbollah, Iran, Ansar Allah, they will not get into conflict with Israel. Iran, enemy of the US, is very transparent towards the US; when Iran retaliated for the bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iran notified the US upfront when it was going to retaliate (that's why the US, Jordan, Israel, UK and France could intercept so many missiles... The US had been informed when it was going to happen). Hezbollah has been mainly attacking military targets in Northern Israel. Ansar Allah damages, but does not destroy ships nor kill people, ships which refuse to turn around... Israel bombs civilians; in Gaza, In Lebanon, in Syria, in Iran, in Northern Iraq. The missile strike on that Druze town in the Golan Heights? That wasn't Hezbollah, that was Israel. Eye witnesses, even Israeli, have reported seeing Israeli Missiles; the citizens of that town are Syrian, oppose Israel and are being oppressed... Now why would Israel attack a town which lays in their [occupied] territory? False Flag... Israel needs a very convincing Causes Belli to start war against its neighbours; as we have seen and heard many times in the past months, Israel is more than capable of sacrificing citizens, even their own, if it means they can fulfil their goals.

Israel is a vicious little bully who thinks it can do anything it wants because it has a really big brother to defend it.

Evan Hamas is kicking the IDF's ass. The only thing Israel is good at is slaughtering civilians.

Israel will do that again in southern Lebanon. It will wreak destruction and murder on civilians in the hope that the Lebanese people will turn against Hezbollah.

But I hope Hezbollah inflicts unacceptable damage to Israeli personnel and equipment. I hope other countries join in to terrorize the Israeli population with missiles raining down on military bases and infrastructure.

If they wanted to live in peace, they wouldn't've elected a government whose entire platform is "Death to Israel".

Israel WANTED peace; they tried to get it for decades, with treaty after treaty, each of which had the lifespan of a mayfly inside an erupting volcano. Their tolerance for Palestinian atrocities is, unfortunately, what made the current phase of this war necessary- a harsher rebuff decades ago might've made people question if it was worth it. Now Israel has no choice but to erase any doubt from their minds with a clear and explosive explanation of what "war" actually IS.

Ans who said that the entire people went to vote? Anyways the majority of people who went to vote were thirsty for money, the majority of them were bribed with money before they went to election, only a few group of people went to vote for people who truly wants the interest of the country!

When the jews were there, there was no muslims yet!

A failure after failure, while the jews should of been the special people because god chose them to preach the whole world about his existence but in my opinion since they denied Jesus, they have been living in hell and were about to vanish from the planet!

You see the problem started when they started preaching about jesus's coming, so when jesus came to earth, they were unable to accept him, who are we to judge god on how he shall act or how he shall be living his human life here on earth, they denied him and crucified him than they abondoned their lands and others came and claimed it later, won't mention the holocaust and everything else...

They have to learn how to solve things in peace and if they were put in a war, just fight your opponents, do not hurt others, just for once they must do what god had taught them to do!
