What do you think of the Harris-Walz Democratic ticket?

In the US, Democratic party Presidential nominee Kamala Harris has picked Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota, as her Vice Presidential running mate.

Political analysts are labeling this pair progressive and liberal left, in stark contrast to the conservative right of their Republican opponents Donald Trump and JD Vance.

What do you think of this Democratic ticket? And this fall's election in general?

Here is my two cents.

Most of the political analysts say that Pennsylvania is the one key state required to win the election. Josh Shapiro, PA governor, would have been a better choice about winning the election, since his popularity in Pennsylvania, his home state, would most likely give the Democrats the state's electoral votes.

Kamala Harris seems to be more interested in being as far left and progressive as possible with Walz, consistent with her career. Shapiro is more of a moderate.

I think it was a failed opportunity and an unforced error, same as Trump-Vance. Walz is a radical and undercuts her messaging that she’s moderate. He’s not a popular governor in a state that’s not hugely important to her election bid. Vance likewise opened up a new line of attack on Trump. The difference is I think everyone knows What they think of Trump. Almost no one knows what they think of Kamala, so she’s got a lot further to fall.

I think she would have been better off picking Josh Shapiro. One way or the other though, I don't see them winning. I think Trump will win. Maybe not as much as he would have against Biden, but I still think Trump wins.

I am not a fan of Walz because of his politics, but he is a FAR better person and politician that Harris will ever be. Harris has been a complete disaster as VP, and the most unpopular VP in history. She has literally accomplished nothing as veep. The DNC had to rein her in and keep her out of the public eye because she was so embarrassingly obnoxious and unimpressive. And now she is the DNC's candidate for the most powerful position in the world? It's terrifying.

I knew from the start it was a loosing ticket, in fact, I knew before Harris picked Walz, that any ticket with Harris on it was a loosing ticket. Trump might not have won had Democrats held a legitimate open primary allowing us primary voters to choose who faced Trump, but not they they rigged their primary so only nursing home patient could win only to force him out for someone less popular.
