Yes only in the sense that the voters are represented in the normal legislative process designed to protect the rights of the minority. Direct votes of mere majorities are never ok no matter what the domestic issue is in a republic. We are not a democracy for a good reason. If the whole state can't agree to something there is no reason only a part of the state that does can't do it as a local law.

It's not even that they could be gerrymandered. It's that even when the people of the state vote to protect abortion and they know it's over 60% of the vote even in the most conservative states, they think they're elected to do whatever they think and ignore the will of the voters in their state.

Under Natural Law, every person has a right to life. No government has the authority to take that right away from them by passing laws. It doesn't matter if it is voted on or not. At the end of the day it is still murder and it is a violation of American's unalienable Rights.

The republicans massively underestimated how popular Roe v. Wade was. Every state that has left the decision up to the voters have laws allowing abortions that are at least equal to what Roe v. Wade did.

Wade and that when a case regarding abortion came up, thry would have enough justices to strike it down. They believes that most states would outlaw abortion. Every state that let the people vote, has laws allowing abortion. Considering thr Clarence Thomas said that now thry got rid of abortion, thry can go after birth control. States deciding to keep a woman's right to choose means they haven't gotten rid of abortion like they tried to. Several want another case regarding brought up so they can decide to reverse their decision in Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal on a federal level.
