72-year-old Rebecca Lavrenz, dubbed the “J6 praying grandma,” has been hit with a staggering $103,000 fine for her brief presence inside the U. S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The Associated Press reported that Lavrenz, who reportedly spent a mere 10 minutes inside the building, was also sentenced to one year’s probation, with the first six months under home confinement and a ban on internet access.

Her crime? Peacefully entering the Capitol building on January 6th for 10 minutes & praying silently. She has no criminal record, engaged in 0 property damage and 0 violence.

Prosecutors argued that Lavrenz’s “unrepentant promotion of the riot” posed a threat to "future political stability".

She's actually a great-grandmother. Oh, what a danger to society!

This is what happens when corrupt leftists control our government. Anyone with opposing political beliefs are targeted. Not only are political candidates targeted, but innocent civilians are too. They will wage a two-tiered "justice" system against conservatives and Christians, yet grant leniency for violent illegal aliens and leftist rioters/looters.

Cops were standing all along the corridor like ushers, letting people pass through.
The building belongs to the American people.
Going into a "closed area" might rate a ticket and a fine. What criminal code did she break, trespassing?
What does she have to apologize for? She didn't do anything. Is this Communist China where you need to attend a reprogramming camp and repent?

This is one reason why I, a former Democrat and non-Republican have come to despise the Democratic party. They disdain the Constitution and don't believe in justice at all. Ever heard of cruel and unusual punishment?
