Is private censorship normal/good in social media?

This post was recently taken down and the account owner banned, not by moderators but by Reddit the company.

Every single thing he stated here in my opinion is nail on the head perfect (anyone please feel free to try a rebuttal).

However, that's not the point. The point is Reddit is a private organization so they're allowed to take this down. That's fine, one can argue they have no social requirement or responsibilities as a private entity.

If that's the case for a private entity then why does the UK try to control X? Why does the EU want to file lawsuits? Who do they think they are to tell a foreign corporation how to operate and what is real or fake?

Simply because Musk doesn't want to lie and hide narratives like Reddit (and Facebook, IG etc) some of the highest ranking members of foreign governments can threaten litigation and legal penalties with no basis? Why does X not have a right to choose how it operates but Reddit can control the entirety of what's allowed?

It's quite literally an attempt to control and guide thought through algorithmic manipulation, controlled exposure to one side, and censorship to any opposition.

What are your general thoughts on any of this? I think this is truly dystopian to say the least.
