It depends on what you mean by "equal".
If you mean equally important, then yes.
If you mean equally intelligent, then yes.
If you mean they have equal opportunities, then yes.
If you mean they have equal rights, then no, because women have more rights than men.
If you mean physically equal, then the answer obviously is and always will be no.
If you mean equally capable, the answer is clearly no. Men are far more capable in some areas, and women far more capable in others.
Is it time to move on from the politically driven hyperfocus on gender equality in the US? Yes, it's doing far more harm than good for both sexes.
Equal? Yes. Do women have equal output as men as a whole? Not even close! It's pretty comical that 75% of the women respond "no" when men as a whole still carry the vast bulk of the load when it comes to the day to day administration of society.
I think we as men concede certain responsibilities as citizens since they are the "breeders" that birth the next generation. But when you consider how many of women either murder thier offspring. Or pump out kids out of wedlock and don't even care about thier kids development. This notion is kind of a fallacy.
No. And yes. Equal value overall to society.
But we both bring value to society in very different ways.
And that is okay.
I had a different answer a couple of years ago. But I don't know. I see evidence now, of what happens to society when we don't acknowledge and accept there are differences that can't be denied.
Certain roles that we are better equipped at, and certain roles men are better equipped at.
We want our society to thrive. We gotta acknowledge the difference so we can best utilize everyone
🙂🙂
Nicely said!
No, physically we are not equal.
And will never be.
I also believe that a woman have a basic role in life and also a man have a basic role in life!

Both genders have unique strengths and capabilities.
Mentally and intellectually, they are equal.
Equal value, absolutely.
So I'd say they are equal but different.
When woman get paid the same for the same job done just as well, and woman don't have to pay more for clothes made with less material we might be on track. Currently, no.
Equal in meaninglessness: yes.
Equal in 'gender' specific procedures, rites and rituals: no.
Equal, but different. Just as 1000 lbs of stone is the same weight as 1000 lbs of water.

We are obviously not equal in al ways and never will be, because nature. But in the US I think we are as close to equal as is possible.
In terms of inherent value, yes. But mostly men and women are the same except in a few areas like private parts and muscle mass.
Yes in the eyes of God and each should be afforded equal rights
