Well, I mean, I could list off his myriad bad qualities as both a person and a politician, but that’s been done to death. It’s also just so glaring obvious that, if you don’t see it by now, you just don’t want to see it and won’t psychologically allow yourself to.
Honestly, the point we’re at now…. its so much bigger than Trump. It’s what he’s done to the psyches of so many Americans. It’s what he brings out of people. And it’s more complex than JUST Trump, but all the additional help from right wing media, or other politicians and hangers-on, has just been SO damaging to many American’s perception of the reality around them. But it’s all done IN SERVICE OF Trump, so it’s part of his whole package when considering him as a candidate.
I don’t want to run too long on it all, but it seems like half the country is just living on a different planet than me. And I can tell it’s the news and news-via-social-media that’s doing it, because my dad, who is 92 and leaves the house MAYBE one night a week to go to his men’s club for like 4-6 hours, is convinced that America is a crime-ridden, impoverished dystopia, and his only real source is said news. I go out into the world everyday, and there are of course problems, but overall, shit is AWESOME, especially by comparison to a lot of the rest of the world. If the worst thing I can say most days is “gas and groceries are too expensive”, I’m doing absolutely fine. Otherwise, I’m livin’ REAL right. If this isn’t satisfactory to you, I don’t know what kind of lofty, entitled expectations you’d have.
Anyway…. I'm very disturbed that facts apparently don’t matter anymore. Trump created this culture of questioning our “lying eyes”, and now the obvious gets rejected and instead the least plausible explanations are adopted as these people’s version of the truth. But it’s all Fantasy Land.
They said there was widespread election fraud, and that the election was “stolen”….. it was not, that’s the reality. But you can’t tell these people shit.
Trump gassed his people up on January 6th and sent these useful idiots to cause havoc at the Capitol. I watched it live on TV. They try to whitewash the whole thing, though. It was no big deal, it was a tourist visit…but it was also a heroic, patriotic act…but it wasn’t even our people, it was AntiFa, and also the Feds in disguise…but also, the cops just LET US IN. You have to be dumb as a box of hammers to believe that absolute nonsense. I can’t believe that was even seriously said out loud, lmfao.
Trump let that roll for HOURS. Did he want anyone harmed? I don’t know. I don’t know if he really cared either way. And then he said, hours later, after people were beaten and that young woman died, he finally makes his obligatory statement and tells people to disperse. He ended it on the live version with “You’re very special, we love you” to the rioters…. and then when I watched it on FoxNews, they cut that part off. So shamelessly dishonest🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂
I could go on and on about all the lies told, by him or the media, etc, but the point is that there are so many of them, and they’re supported by media and shown on TV, which legitimizes all of it to their viewers. And now you can’t even converse with them about differences because they’re just living on an entirely different planet in a fictional reality. If there’s no shared basis of fact, how can you discuss ANYTHING? But anything unfavorable is now routinely and perfectly acceptably dismissed as a lie meant to damage Trump. It’s just absolutely Crazy Town, Banana Land stuff. Hard to believe it’s real, but here we are, lmao.
So this all ties back to Trump, who is a liar, a buffoon, and a malignant narcissist only looking out for himself, who gains power by claiming to be a man of the people. Listen to his speeches, it’s all just “the best this”, “the best that”, “I’ll solve this in 24 hours”…. its literally just him saying things that sound good, and these fucking rubes in red hats just take it at face value and eat it up. So OF COURSE they think he’s awesome. He’s the kid running for class president who says “As my first act, I will ban homework, pop quizzes, papers, tests, and report cards! And every day will be pizza day in the cafeteria!” No you won’t, bro, you CAN’T, and have no idea how you would😂😂😂 This dude has on his STATED platform that he’ll “keep the US dollar as the world’s U. S. currency”….. bro, that’s up to the rest of the world, not America. Do you have ANY idea how any of this stuff works?🤣🤣🤣 He’s an absolute moron, lmao.
So…. i still went long…. dang it😝
But yeah, long story still long, just everything this guy has done directly or collaterally to affect Americans’ minds, the surrounding conspiracy theory culture, now EVERYTHING is a conspiracy🙄, and with Republicans too desperate for the political energy and voting activity of these aforementioned rubes that Trump brings in who they need to tip the power scales in their favor and enabling all his BS…. the societal results have been disastrous. It feels so played out and dramatic to call MAGA a cult, but…I mean…. just look at it, lmao. What else do you call that? It’s absolutely nuts.
So I guess I’d vote “C”, but that doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of my objection, it’s more just the MAGA era that I think is wildly unhealthy for America and Americans.
Meant to say something else but forgot, lmao, but I did just notice an error
*“keep the US dollar as the world’s RESERVE currency”
But for me, here's the real problem: People gave him the power. He didn't take anything that wasn't freely given. And that would mean everything you just said was already there in our society. It was under the carpet just waiting for someone to roll the carpet back and expose it. Trump is the conduit, not the problem or the cause. That's the truly disturbing thing to me... How did we not see it?
"Grocery" you wrote is BASIC needs you have options of trunp who understand business.
@Caroline91 oh, absolutely, Trump is just symptomatic of a great problem where I just question what the hell is wrong with people that they would have such wildly out-of-whack values and priorities. “Who Americans are” is the true problem.
I think something broke in some people’s brains when Obama won. That kicked off a whole new aspect of political hatred, for the obvious reasons. And don’t forget when Trump first came onto the political scene in 2015, he was doing the whole schtick of demanding Obama’s birth certificate, lmao.
And the craziest thing to me is that this he’s still in play NOW. Like I get voting for him the first time around because he was something different. It wasn’t flavored to my tastes, but I get why it would work with the casual low-information voter. But this is where my issue with the surrounding support from right-wing media, politicians, and personalities, and a whole lot of already self-deluded MAGA enthusiasts comes in…. THEY create this wild alternative reality that they all choose to delusionally live in, and give it the appearance of credibility. Meanwhile, the rest of us are just looking on in stunned disbelief😱🤦♂️😂
@strateguy632 Presidents don’t control the price of goods and services, they can only minorly influence inflation, all of this is being blamed on Biden because it’s politically convenient and there’s been a very obvious and deliberate effort by the wing in its totality, since Day One of Biden’s presidency, to paint absolutely every action, inaction, or coincidence to be the worst, most incompetent, country-destroying thing ever done. I simply don’t find it credible, in fact I find it BLATANTLY NOT CREDIBLE, and deliberately disingenuous. One thing I have no rational reason to take seriously these days are Republicans telling me whether Biden and Democrats in general are doing a good job or not. They’ve lost all credibility with me.
@strateguy632 Also, America is not a business and should not be run like one. Businesses prioritize being profitable over being universally decent and fair, and no person with a good soul should want that for a country. I would also strongly question how well Trump understands business. Like I said before, he doesn’t even seem to understand the mechanics of how reserve currency works, yet it’s pretty high on his stated agenda. It seems much more likely that he’s a trust fund baby given every advantage in life, and through shady and dishonest practices took a “small loan” of a million dollars (in 1970s money, that’s many, many millions), and managed to sort of succeed, but more just “fail upwards.” The United States isn’t an apartment building or a hotel or a casino. You can put golden escalators in every building, it won’t solve real problems. The guy has just demonstrated himself to be a poor president, in my opinion, even free from judgements on his personality, but to be fair, his personality is much of a redeeming quality either. He’s a narcissistic asshole who talks big but doesn’t deliver, because he doesn’t care about delivering much, he cares about having a fancy title and people looking at him, and this time around, about having the power to let himself off the hook for criminal actions that it seems fairly suspicious, if not obvious, that he committed, while he’s obviously still entitled to trials…. but it seems like they just want to avoid trials, not prove he didn’t do anything, lmao. So that’s REAL suspicious.
I don't know, guy’s a scumbag if you ask me, and doesn’t bring much I’m interested in as a politician.
As far as when and how what we are witnessing to day goes I think, historically, we could put the finger on 1980 when Reagan became President. I see that administration as the beginning of America transitioning to a corporation which in my POV, it has indeed become. Since then, the entire focus of this nation has shifted to corporate personhoodm, effectively placing the rights of business over the rights of the individual, upon which this country was constitutionally founded. Along with that, there has been a steady decline in funding and quality of education, and a successful democracy is reliant on a well educated constituency, which no longer exists here.
@WhiteSteve A presidents policies can affect the price of goods. If you discourage drilling for oil you make the oil supply scarce. That causes prices to rise. When the price of gasoline and diesel fuel go up the price of everything else goes up because products need to be transported by truck.
When you decide to print trillions of dollars and inject them into the economy it dilutes the value of the dollars that are already in circulation and causes them to be worth less. the very definition of inflation.
@exitseven US crude oil production averaged 12.9M barrels/day in 2023, beating Trump’s 2019 peak of 12.3M/day, so there’s no scarcity on America’s end. How much of the sales profits at an Exxon or something are going to C-suite salaries? Maybe, just mayyyyyybeeeeee, they could take a bit less of a salary, still be unfathomably wealthy, still take very good care of the shareholders, and we could pay less at the pump, and the supposed delivery costs are alleviated and no longer passed onto the customer at a drastic rate. Joe Biden or Donald Trump or Kamala Harris or Martin fuckin’ Van Buren aren’t the people to blame for credit high/low prices. Kamala says she’ll go after price gougers, which I’m all for, but I’m not sure how that realistically gets done. But at least the mood is right about it. Capitalism simply needs to be reimagined, with more guardrails, at this point.
You’re correct about printing money but that was almost half a decade ago now, and frankly needed to be done, because just remaining open during Covid would’ve been absolutely idiotic, especially relative to the fact that we were without any of the hindsight we have today, so I really don’t know what else they could have done. And inflation is back down to a normal level not much higher than anyone would have predicted between a Covid-less 2020-24 period, so we’re kinda past that now. One more reason to look at corporations, and not politicians, for the state of prices today.
@Caroline91 agreed. This young lady does an excellent job breaking down the short- and long-term negative effects of the Reagan administration

I’m a former Trump supporter (2016)
January 6th, Mike Pence called the National Guard not Trump… “Against all enemies foreign and domestic”
I’m against the fact he had said “This is more deadly than even the most strenuous flus. I always played it down… Didn’t want to create a panic”.
“People are dying, its true. It is what it is”. About a pandemic killing innocent American lives!
Then policy, you have Trump having a strong Republican majority when taking office 2017. A stronger majority in Congress & Senate compared to Biden’s Administration and YET Biden and Democrats kept more promises than Trump.
I will be happy and satisfied when she wins this election. So much is at stake, I would be so excited and relieved.
Kamala Harris helped with the passage of Chips And Science Act (manufacturing of microchips in America), Pact Act (biggest veteran benefits package in modern American politics), Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Trump’s broken promise which helps our roads, bridges, airports, wifi connectivity, 5G network, highspeed rail, etc.), Affordable Care Act Expansion, Prescription Drug Cost Slashes (2026 will take effect saving Americans total of $6 billion), Inflation Reduction Act, promising to punish price gouging practices by greedy companies/corporations, promising to increase taxes on wealthy to decrease taxes for every hard working American.
Tim Walz did disappoint me since I really wanted Mark Kelley since he is an astronaut though Tim Walz really proved himself with his legislative achievements in Minnesota. Increases in Child Tax Credit, decreased taxes, raised minimum wage, 15 week paid parental leave for Amazon warehouse workers, school faculty, nursing home staff, and hospital staff, more, free breakfast & free lunch school programs for all children, Certified Union Member. Trump even congratulated him taking his advice on leading against the BLM riots on audio recording.
I have faith in her, she will make a damn good President.
Just a little reminder:
At the first debate regarding January 6th 2021, Trump lied that a President couldn’t call in the troops yet moving troops without Congress’ permission is indeed in the Presidential powers. So to lie that Nancy Pelosi had some sort of power stronger than POTUS is a plain lie. In addition, Trump during the debate ADMITTED he knew that chaos would attack the Capitol yet still provided the buses to his supporters to get to the Ellipse, still told his people to go to the Capitol, and still Tweeted “Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”
AND THIS, “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”
The local law enforcement officials were trying to contact POTUS for permission to send the troops on January 6th after seeing the vicious mob and Trump & The White House refused to answer the phones. Vice President Mike Pence was the one that afternoon to call to action permission to send the National Guard. Mike Pence allowed the National Guard proving that Trump had those powers too and chose not to.

Mostly him. H is the face of the country. He should unite it. Trump only wishes to divide it between people with him or against him. Childish namecalling is a poor example to set for the country's highest position. Constantly whining about anything and everything is a poor example to set. Lying about almost everything all the time is a poor example. His criminal behavior is unworthy of the nation's highest position. Some of the policies enacted are ok although I expect he had little to do with any of it.
Trump stand for returning to a time of normalcy. Go to work. Pick up the kids from soccer. Go on vacation twice a year. And watch your 401k go up like it's supposed to.

The main reason that people won't vote for Trump is tht they have been exposed to a constant barrage of lies, half truths and exaggerations about the former president from the fake news media. They keep calling him a fascist , compare him to Hitler ad say he is a threat to democracy. Never has there been such a hatred for a political candidate.
I have a Trump sticker on the back window of my truck. People usually honk and wave at me. A lot of people are afraid to have a Trump sticker on their vehicle of have a Trump sign on their front yards because they are afraid.
One day I was driving to the dump one Saturday afternoon. A woman driving a Black Escalade starts honking at me so i just give her a big wave. Then I notice she is following me. She actually followed me into the town dump. When i got out of my truck she starts screaming at me calling me a fascist and saying Trump was a Nazi. She really looked kind of pathetic. I just started laughing at her and some of the other people that were there also laughed at her.
This is typical of the millions of people with Trump Derangement Syndrome. The fke news has brainwashed people to such an extent that they embarrass themselves in front of their neighbors just because they hate him so much. It really is an amazing phenomenon.
Nobody is faking his own video clips. Those alone speak volumes.
@dustybiker2 This happened before I had a smartphone. I wish I had a video of this lunatic yelling at me.
By chance was that crazy lady at the dump Rachel Maddow?
I’ve got to say. Very brave of that pink anon to block replies.
Anyway, I’ll take a moment to do so here if she cares to read it.
1) The Democrats are the ones trying to divide the country. They literally spent years weaponizing race and brandishing Trump supporters as “evil” and fascists.
2) Whining is what Democrats do literally all the time. They literally spent the entirety of the Trump presidency whining about Trump.
3) Lying is what Democrats do all the time. They deliberately lie about what Trump says all the time.
4) Criminal behavior? Do we want to talk about what DEMOCRATS have been doing all these years? Weaponized lawfare on bogus charges?
Seriously wtf?
And to think the anon was so cowardly they had to block replies?
I could give no fucks over his personality EXCEPT as to how it makes him effective in implementing policy.
The problem is he's a sociopathic, narcissist, sadist, blowhard, pedo, thieving, egotistical, misogynistic, bigoted, racist compulsive liar. Can't get much done like that. See Mitch McConnell as exhibit A
Also, he has no policies except what people whisper in his ear that will get him accolades, applause, ratings and crowds.
Heh, I see, being somewhat on the outside, a type of glitch on their hatred. It's a result of brainwashing, this is used by the left who incorporates the media, Hollywood asshats and the politicians themselves. It's so obvious for me to see.
The truth is Trump's personality of a scoffer by the way he mocks, belittle others and acts with arrogance is what causes people to hate him as it just doesn't come out of nowhere.
The Bible teaches people with Trump's personality is abomination unto people so he does it to himself by the way he behaves.
Proverbs 24:8-9
He who plots to do evil Will be called a schemer.
The devising of foolishness is sin, And the scoffer is an abomination to men.
So being nice to him means kissing his butt and never criticizing him?
It doesn't work like that. All presidents get crucified when in office in Trump isn't the exception neither Harris if she wins the presidency come November.
When you act like a jerk publically and name call and disrespect people it won't work in your favor with most people.
The Republicans had several choices to pick from in the primaries but choose Trump once again and I don't think independents want to see round 2 of Trump's antics and personality once again in the White House.
It cost him in 2020 and it looks like it's going to cost him again in 2024.
I don't see anyone being nice to him. If you don't see how much worse he was treated by the media, the people on the left and the attacks by the Democrat politicians then you either haven't paid attention or you agree with the dirty tactics used by the left. There's not been a president treated the same. I don't care if you think there was. But I ask to tell me how one was treated on the same level.
Trump unlike other modern-day presidents don't feed into the negative.
You don't see Biden on Twitter at 3 AM starting fights and arguments with people.
Trump likes to throw fuel unto the fire.
Sometimes it's best just to shut up and move on.
Obama and Biden get smashed all day by conservative media and you hardly if ever hear them fire back.
They just ignore it.
That's another reason he most likely going to lose in 2024 by claiming BS that he was cheated without evidence and causing silly people to believe his BS and causing riots at the capital.
Your mistake like many in the MAGA movement think most people see Trump with blinders on like y'all do and that isn't the reality.
100k votes behind aren't nothing as some counties in this country are easily 1 million or close to a million votes.
The courts throw Trump's case out because a lack of evidence of what he was claiming.
By the way the judges were the ones appointed by Trump.
Get the blinders off. You're too mature for the stupidity to be falling for okie doke.
Don't tell me that. I feel the way I do because of the complete and total corruption that is the culprits that assaulted him from day one of his presidency. I saw Pelosi sit on a white sofa on some show and proclaim she did not care about collateral damage. Whatever it takes to get him out of office. He must have done badly, like high prices, right?
This was 2019 September. The following November, she had her ass in Wahun China. Try to remember what happened in January 2020. Then a couple weeks to stem. Then the country closed down for a couple weeks. I can't put it together for you. You do it or deny it either one. I thought you were more even keiled than this. You sound like most of the democrats.
How does he plot to do evil? I think kicking all the mooching illegals out of the country, which are costing us $Billions, is a good plan.
@Daniela1982: I was referring to Trump is a scoffer by posting the scripture by the way he acts.
Wow, this turned out exactly like a way bigger poll I saw earlier and I was wondering how accurate it was.
Wow, there are some really stupid replies on here. Let's not forget that George Clooney fired Joey. LOL
Yep.
I'm one of those lame people that are still hung up on the "tried to start a civil war" thing.
I am not American, is it okay I still participated in this question? ✋🏻👀😁
I didn't realise the non American option whoops 🤭😬 in your GaG polling.
Looking for someone to move the country forward for all Americans, as well as a leader willing to take accountability.
Because I hate his politics and think he is an orange skinned egotistical asshole.
He is a traitor looking to sell out the country.
He is soo old just like Biden was and he is nutty
C. ..
