The two options are:
1.” a ruler with total power over a country, typically one who has obtained control by force. “
2. “ a cruel and oppressive ruler. “
1. Thing about dictators are, those that fight to gain power for oneself won’t likely step down. This is anti-George Washington since he fought for freedom as our Brave American General then became President then willfully stepped down allowing the peaceful transfer of power to continue which is still practiced to this very day.
2. Simply put oppressive & cruel leader, well with checks and balances also term limits in this Constitutional Republic we have going on here… That tyrant can be impeached then thrown out the door OR term ends and bye bye.
I select Tyrant.
It is really the same thing. Rome used to choose dictators for a period of time in times of stress.
Why wouldn’t they choose a tyrant during times of stress?
