So let’s assume Kamala gets elected and we all can feel “the joy”. Given she’s got zero game plan, flip flopped on multiple issues (fracking, the border, abolishing private health care, etc.) and has ducked all unscripted and live interviews (the CNN interview with Dana Bash was pre-taped so it could be edited) we can most likely assume she will be a continuation of the Biden administration but worse.

Who cares about what really matters like actual policy. And if she fails spectacularly I’m sure that won’t have any impact on how Americans generally feel about electing a woman as president or something. But again “the joy” will magically solve everything.

We are at a prediction where Harris becomes the President, Democrats hold the Congress, and Democrats hold the Senate which would be a trifecta all on the back of Trump.
Trump lost 2020 and normally after losing a chance at a 2nd term Presidential nominees leave… Not this one.
Mitch McConnell said it himself that he believed if he gave into Trump, thinking there was a chance to keep Georgia red…. It didn’t happen.

We found out about all of Trump’s crimes. GUILTY on 34 counts of falsifying business records to get reimbursement for a “legal expense” from the bank which is illegal to lie to the bank on official documents to get money for something outside the real necessity. If they knew it was pornstar NDA they would never have authorized it.
Trump will be gone and Republicans will have to take the Party in a different direction if they can they will surely come back stronger.

Democratic Party changed how they elect their leaders in primaries to get rid of the mess of 2016 under Hillary Clinton and every political party tries to move on from scandal / division / other via C-H-A-N-G-E. Trump lost Congress & Senate control in 2020 too along with The White House control before so to do it again would be a definitive need for change…. Nixon was such a corrupt son of a bitch traditional politician that Democrats had a peanut farmer President then Republicans brought a famous actor President. Thing change, lives move on, and if Trump goes to prison I’m sure as Hell they’ll want someone to run the party who isn’t in jail who can’t campaign….

I used to support Trump in 2016…. I wasn’t even old enough to vote, I voted Biden in 2020 and Harris will be my choice 2024 I swear.
Basically Biden promised the same broken promises of Trump so, I had confidence Biden would be the guy to get it done along with his own agenda and he did because I kept a close eye just like with Trump (especially due to the Pandemic) so I’m the man to hold them accountable for their lies because I’ve paid attention more than anyone else.
In 2028 Trump will be too ill, or gone. I had a weird dream about him back in March, yes I know, I never dream with politicians, especially him--but then again I had a nightmare before he was elected that he had won--and the nightmare became true. I also had a dream that was really odd about Jan 6, in the previous October. His health is going down the drain, if my dream proves right.
By 2028, who cares? He's already becoming obsolete. But others may rise up out of MAGA.

@MisterWack I don't think it's going to be that easy to move on. It never really was about Trump. He's the embodiment, not the problem. The problem that he exposed by pulling the carpet up for us all to see the ugliness underneath is still very much present in this country.
@Caroline91 Definitely, it was always a problem festering in this country though I will say this he pushed the accelerator to the GOP’s ride to political tyrannical rule to ‘batshit crazy’ leading off a cliff for the party. After this election, GOP will surely be disappointed in the result because they’ll lose seats most likely & lose the white house and will have to rethink the strategy of the direction of the party / how to get people back on board in a more moderate tone. At least that’s my thought you made great points, he showcased the party’s true unpopular intentions and wanting to control & push people down like you and me rather than lift them up in one pull of the rug to show their true colors. I very seriously doubt if Trump would run again. He's too damn old. And if he did run, he would not get the nomination.
Trump has never been all that popular, even with Republicans (partly because he's not a real Republican or conservative in the first place). I think the only reason he got the nomination in 16, 20 and 24 is because nobody better has stepped up to the plate.
Its been a very long time since Republicans had a good candidate who was serious about winning... not since the 90s. Everyone since then has either been garbage, or they didn't have the drive to do what it takes to win.

Ideally there will be a new wave of candidates. There will likely be some old contingents like Desantis, maybe Haley, and maybe Vivek among others but ultimately this will be a wise open GOP.
Hopefully they pick someone who can actually act unlike most passive Republicans nowadays who complain loudly then vote how their donors tell them to.
Trump acts, but his act is very individualized. Essentially nothing he does can be mimicked or copied just due to his personality when it comes to being a candidate.

You are probably under the impression that Trump started a movement and he is a cult of personality. But that isn’t what happened. Trump, who can read the room with the best of them, tapped into a ground swell that was already there. Trump taps into the people and says what they are thinking, that is his gift. He also takes action on it which is why people continue to support him. There will be others who step up.
What action has he delivered on? He gives people license to release their bigotry, hatred and racism. That's his "gift"
First, he was right about illegal immigration. It is only now that most people realize it. Harris has recently said she will start enforcing our laws… once she gets in. Hispanics while still supporting democrats in majority have significantly shifted to Trump percentage wise. That was all action which stands in contrast to what Harris did at the border… which is absolutely nothing for 4 years. Do you deny that she was given the task of addressing the border and delivered no action to use your words.
He stood up to Europe in their need to better find their own militaries for the strengthening of NATO. I bet you loved that picture of Merkel glaring at Trump with the rest of the defense spending slackers at the NATO conference. Now they scramble to re-invest in their own defenses which also drives sales of US products for defense. This may save us from using tactile nuclear weapons in the future as a NATO without a conventional punch would quickly need to use nukes to avoid being overrun.

Been an ambassador for POTUS. I don't know how you view the office of VP, but it is essentially a ceremonial office with very little power other than proximity to power.
She doesn’t even give press conferences as she is hiding. She hides because she knows she will say stupid things. That’s our leader? No. She can’t lead. She will win primarily because she plays being black and women will vote for her because she has a vagina. Those are her qualifications. And those qualifications are also why she was selected for VP.
She was given a talk, the boarder. She did nothing. Barely a visits and certainly no change. Now she says she will change it… it is just words though as she has had years. If I were VP and given the task, I would have been working hard on it. The world’s premiere leader will hide from the Press, accomplish little, and sit idly by smiling. That’s it. A do-nothing.

What we need to do is enforce the laws on the books. That is missing today. Congress already passed the necessary laws. But perhaps you mean that the Democrats will actively get in the way and show their true colors… well, show them even brighter. But there will always be a debt limit bill that needs to be passed so a threat to shut the US Government down minus social security payments etc, wouldn’t bother most Conservatives.
