Why do people act like democracy is all that matters and ignore nuance in democracy conversations?

Unchecked democracy can lead to mob rule authoritarianism.

I'm not here to bash democracy, but we need to get real, above how we feel, to have a nuanced conversation.

. I believe in Democratic and Republic values I'm a libertarian I want small government and democratic Republic with constitutional and natural rights values. The system answers to the people, but the democracy cannot subdue individual rights and freedoms. Some rights are given to us by God. Mob rule can lead to bullying if democracy goes to far.

Democracy is a good thing but in and of itself the media wants to focus on it as the ONLY thing. What happen our Constitution and our Republic? We can't just shut out any alternative views as Anti Democratic. Seems like the elites want controlled opposition for a "democratic" fascist authoritarian. Democracy where the majority even if there wrong gets to dictate right and wrong is bad. The values of a society must have a tangible society behind them and we can't make to many laws both Democrats and neoconservatives are bad at making small government
