For example, in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, there are pro-Trump flags, bumper stickers, and signs everywhere, as well as "Fuck Kamala" stuff. Half the vehicles are pickup trucks. In the South, you rarely see this crap.

Also, up North, people are genuine and want to be your friend, even in Boston. Down South, people are either fake ("Bless your heart") or aloof.

I've never been to New England, so I can't say. I only saw one "Fuck Biden" flag in Florida. America's most patriotic city is in Rhode Island.

To tourists Southerners are friendly and hospitable, but I don't know how they are to people who live there.

Because conservatives still exist here, they're just not more conservative than the south.
Secondly a lot of new England is rural, pickup trucks are common because they make it easier to haul shit and move around.
Lastly, don't tread on me is used by conservatives, Republicans, tea party, libertarians etc. Not just Maga or conservatives.
