Is New England the friendliest place in North America?

Once you get to know people in the New England states, you have a friend for life. Maine is considered the friendliest state in the country with the nicest people. Vermont too. Even Boston folks seemed down to earth.

I don't find the rest of North America to be particularly friendly, many of the people don't care about you and they talk behind your back. But that's just my experience.

In my opinion the friendliest place in all of North America with the sweetest people was Nantucket. The people there smile at you and help you out.

Ohio is very friendly, in places. It's as friendly as you make your world.

NE is big area... some is and some isn't. The area im in is friendly, but I find I have to engage with others. NYC is NOT friendly at all. The coldest place on the plaet... everyone is assumed crazy and dangerous. Horrible place socially, needs a lot of work.

Go into the country where people feel secure, and it's friendly.

Wouldn't know. I don't judge American states by their collective average friendliness. It seems a bit of an abstract concept in any case since one cannot go around a state measuring how friendly each and every human there is.

Not only that, I expect they'd be far less friendly to me than they would to a lot of others... due to certain... differences of perspective.

New England is just a little bit behind New Youk in terms of mean people. In Maine if you are not born there you will never be accepted. In Massachusetts driving is a blood sport.

I would never include Boston on a list of a place with nice people 🤣 the expression massholes didn’t just come outta thin air. There’s nice people in Vermont and Maine though. I found people in parts of the Midwest to be the most down to earth.

I find that interesting but I think if you come to the Midwest United States we have great morals and very polite people saying thank you and you welcome. There is some rednecks though but I think every state has at least a couple of those.

I would honestly choose the Northeast as the *least* friendly region, probably tied with the West Coast. I'd put rural Midwest as 1st and the Southeast as 2nd.
