I'm really concerned with yesterday's tragic event. Two young students and two beloved teachers are dead.

Surely we have to agree that assault type weapons have no place within a civilized society.

The question is not whether we should outlaw such weapons, as that is already a given. But HOW do we go about outlawing and then enforcing the banishment of such weapons?

Certainly not "thoughts and prayers". That does nothing to help the situation. It starts with keeping guns out of children's hands. Making parents accountable if children are caught with them in the act of a crime. Get better at catching those with identified mental health issues and get them counseling.

It's not a question about regulations - but a question of overall culture.

''America'' was built and expanded by hooligans, outlaws, violence, aggression, greed and recklessness.

Their 'freedom' only is freedom for some.

And the freedoms given apparently can't be handled by many.
