Are there really no faucets in the toilets of Western countries?

I Heard that after they shit in the toilet, they don't Wash their asses with water, they only wipe with napkins in the USA and Europe. Wow is this true? If so how do they do hyigene?

In my country there are little faucet in every toilet which squirts water to your ass then after washing and cleaning, we wipe with napkins.

Why would a toilet need a faucet?
You put the seat down, you drop trou, plop your ass on the seat and take a dump and/or piss (if you're a girl) when you're done, you grab a few sheets of toilet paper and wipe yourself clean, then drop it into the toilet. If you're still not clean, wipe again until you are. Get up pull up your kecks and flush the toilet then wash your hands, preferably with soao & water, dry them in a towel and leave.
I've recently seen a Japanese shitter! You walk into a stall, and all you've got is a 3" deep trough embedded in the floor. You're expected to hang onto a metal bar behind the trough and then crouch down so your crotch is hovering just over the trough and you do your business into the trough. If you're wearing a long skirt or dress, you HAVE to get naked to keep it from getting piss and shit on it or from falling into the trough. THEN there's the splash factor!! If you stand over it to pee, you'll probably splash piss all over your shoes and pants! As there's no seat to keep you from splashing when you sit on it, even if you're in a very short skirt, there's still a good chance of splashing on your clothes or shoes. Because there's no water in the trough, when you take a shit in it, the shit will stick to the trough. If you CAN flush, chances are, the toilet water will also splash all over you.
To clean up, there's a fountain squirting up from the floor that supposedly cleans you off. Chances are, your legs and feet will get wet either from the splash or from water running down your legs. As there's no shit paper, you have no way of knowing if you're clean or if there's still a bit of shit lingering. Is that what you call hyigene?

Generally you do your business in the morning, and have a shower after.

Sometimes you're not as clean as you'd like to be. Such in the nature of being human. But many things affect hygeine, and generally we probably don't sweat and smell as much in colder climates. I don't sweat at all really.

I don't see how squirting some water up your arse would necessarily make you fully clean anyway.

I have a bidet, my partner has one as well. My parents always had them in our house growing up.

Water shooting out of a toilet feels wrong. I understand the appeal but also this countrys locals don't usually have as bad of a body smell as people coming here from other places.

We also have disposable wet wipes, but you have to buy them/bring them yourself, and not everyone does. That said, we also typically shower at least once a day.

I think that is called a bidet. Yes, they have them in the US also, just not as common. I was in Germany for two weeks in Hotels and no Bidets there?

Some of us have bidets, but we mostly use toilet paper. The paper gets most of the mess, but you do have to dig a little bit with it.

Then we just wash our hands and go about our day.
