There are many things I would change, I think America could be way better

First, I'd bring over one of the clauses we failed to carry over from the Iroquois Constitution: "Should it happen that the Lords refuse to heed the third warning [that their policies were against the will of the people], then two courses are open: either the men may decide in their council to depose the Lord or Lords or to beat them to death with war clubs.".

More specifically, I'd put in a policy saying that all laws must either be Constitutional, or be repealed. That would fix most of the country-specific problems we have.

I would immediately bring troops home from Iraq and Syria. I would not allow weapons to be sold to any authoritarian country. I'd negotiate free trade deals. I'd eliminate all corporate/farm welfare. I'd simplify the tax code by lowering all income tax rates while eliminating all tax deductions save charitable giving. I'd make it easier to immigrate legally and harder to immigrate illegally. I'd end the war on drugs

If I were the US president with dictatorial power, I would eliminate the presidency itself and fire myself. I would eliminate the US Congress and Supreme Court. I would outlaw the entire federal government. Gone. No more US government. That would basically make it more like the original United States when it was first formed.

In jury trials, not only do the attorneys get to question witnesses, but the jury does as well.

I think in some courts the jury is allowed to ask questions. I don't know if this is state law or up to the judges, but I'm pretty sure it's allowed in some courts.
