Do you think men are still generally sexist today?

Yes, to an extent.
A lot of men just see women as sex objects like in the 1950s and 60s. Things haven't changed in that respect. They've always been that way. It's actually natural.
Some men seem to have a mythological fantasy about "traditional" gender roles. Oddly, they desire a combination of naive virgin, a mommy to care for them, and an eager, submissive, sex doll rolled into one.
The common thread is sex. And sex is sexist. Sexual dimorphism is sexist. Men fuck and women get fucked. Most men are dominant in bed and most women like to be dominated in bed. Heterosexuals are happy with that arrangement.
In other interactions, even the lady/gentleman thing is sexist, but in a good way. Women want a man who makes them feel safe and secure. And being thought of that way by a woman makes a man feel big, strong, protective, and masculine.
Having said all that, more men than ever before are cool with women being educated, having careers and opportunities, supporting themselves, gaining life experience, and having minds of their own, as long as they don't act like dominant bitches.
Men still like feminine women who know what men like.
Men don't want to be seen as weak. That goes against the very nature of human masculinity. It puts them at risk. After all, sexual dimorphism put men in the role of warriors, protectors and, to an extent, providers. Men do the heavy lifting and hard work that women aren't cut out for.
So certain sexism is biologically normal and almost necessary for the survival of the species. But that doesn't mean that a man and woman shouldn't be equal partners. They have equal intelligence (two brains are better than one). They both have strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other. After all, brawn isn't the only thing of value.
My wife and I are equal partners. We both earn income that all goes to supporting our lifestyle and providing for our future. We both share gardening and household chores. She comes up with great ideas. We discuss most expenditures. We rely upon and help each other. We trust and respect each other. There is no sexism in our relationship. But we both appreciate aspects of masculinity and femininity.
I think women are sexist in the west, there just happen to be a lot of self-loathing men. So they would be sexist against other men. Preferential college admission and scholarships, same with jobs, women's only spaces, professional development, SBA loans and grants.
What part of that is tilted in men's favor? If I were to open up a simple mens only cocktail lounge, I'd have women coming in to challenge that and be in the news for kicking them out within the week, even if the place was absolute shit with just like darts and wood paneling, no pool, no windows, not even beer on tap.
We are still very different people. I love men being men and women being women. I don’t like that fashion and society is making us the same.
we are all sexust and racist. I joys love everyone except haters. I stay away
I told my government that deep down I felt like a woman (I did this to avoid military service) unfortunately for me my government was not satisfied with my words and demanded that I take the necessary steps to become a woman.
Am I a coward?
@Jennz6 Yes I have to become a woman now because of my lie, if I had known the consequences of my lie I would not have lied.
@Jennz6 Well, to avoid military service, I said I felt like a woman. My government therefore told me to do what was necessary to become a woman.
But I didn't think my government would ask me to do that.
@Jennz6 No, not yet. I'm on hormones and I've brought the prescription from the doctor who prescribed the hormones to the military office to prove that I've started my sex change.
@Jennz6 yeah of course
@Jennz6 yes
@Jennz6 No, I didn't want to become a woman 😔
@Jennz6 oh yeah
@Jennz6 Yes it's getting long
@Jennz6 Do you want me to end up in a harem? 😔🥺
This is the exact reason why I am still on gag! You two are the best!! Love it!! 😍
@midnightmoon05 I was a manly man, today I have no choice but to become a woman, and that's hard to accept.
@Andreï05197 we all have choices … almost. We were forced to take the covid
vaccine otherwise we lose our job.
For you, why didn’t you want to join the military. Isn’t it an honor to serve your country?
@midnightmoon05
I'm against compulsory military service. I'm not against the army, just against it being compulsory.
When I told that lie, I didn't think my government would demand that I become a woman.
No, most men are not. Its just that on the internet a lot of the few that are sexists, are overrepresented.

I appreciate the 50's imagery but I think that there has always been a power sharing arrangement between men and women.
One of the characters in the Iliad had to ask his wife's permission to give a gift. If, in the age of heroes, it wasn't entirely a man's world then it never has been.
We can go anywhere in the world , and, without a word in common, perfectly convey to a member of our gender "women huh?" or "men huh?".
We always have been sexist and always will be. Women have sexist attitudes to men and men have sexist attitudes to women. Hopefully it is mostly kindly benign.
Not overtly but little understanding beyond their own eyesight.
Take the whole meet a Stanger or a bear situation meme that happened. Of course some random guy in the woods is scary as fuck on face value. Even for guys. Has no one seen deliverance Squeel like piggy scene?
But what happened is every guy took it as a person attack with zero empathy of the situation being ask.
I'm personally a 6,8 350 lb brick wall and can be scary as fuck to people. I don't raise my voice on random people but I can with friends and sometimes there are other who aren't in on the fun and I do make a point to apologize to them and explain we are friends having fun.
Back to the bear bit it dosen't take a lot to calculated power that to be dangerous to another person. Even comparing it to raw animalistic power of a bear.
They never were, otherwise humanity would have been done for as soon as it started.
By the way, these are the best you can come up with for proof of sexism?
An ad for ties that tells a man that these ties will get his wife to love him enough to make him breakfast in bed, and an ad for a washing machine, a device made by men specifically to make the lives of their wives easier, which they either wouldn't have bothered to invent or they wouldn't get any man to buy it if sexism was so rampant back then.
All these are telling me is that men love their wives and want to make them happy.
Even if these aren't bad examples, these are advertisements. It would be a different story if this was government propaganda but they aren't.
Good for you! Provided pictures.
That is sexism and ended in west.
When they stretch terms to include other stuff , terms lost any real meaning.
no. quite the opposite unless you're referring to benevolent sexism where women need to be coddled and infantilized by men because she's a "victim" rather than an "equal"
sure, that counts as sexism too, right?
true
No although there are feminists who would claim otherwise.
I think women have become far more sexist than men. They're just able to get away with it.
"Sexist" and "racist" are two of the most overused terms these days.
Having said that, yes some men are still sexist and always will be. But women are just as sexist, and arguably more so.
not in my portion of the world, and life... nope
I think modern, rational men know women have limitations and different frames of reference. That's not sexist. Its observant.
I wish. The world was so much better when this "sexism" existed.
not in the west if you want to see truly sexist men look at the Middle east and Africa
Sadly
Yes. Even my husband seems to think that all the housework is my job even though he is the stay at home parent and I work two jobs. It makes no sense.
In some places they are still very sexist. India and Japan for sure
I think the majority aren’t but a vocal minority are.
At least in America.
guess we try not to be but it does come a bit from nature with men stronger and providers and females are the nurtures etc
Percentage wise, yes. Humans don't change their ish nature just because it's a different year.
Sexism is not something I ever worry about.
This is how it should be. Women and people should follow gender roles.
Not especially
yessir
Don't you have any dishes to clean?
I do
OF COURSE !!!
