Your post does not reflect that at all. So I don't think anything about it. Having a small measure of Kituwah blood, I have opinions about pertinent Native "Indian" issues. I think "we" got a really bad fukking deal in the Trail Of Tears and out West.

I believe some Federal lands (such as the Cherokee National Forest) could be transferred to Native stewardship without any skin off the current Habitant's asses.

Maybe we could actually benefit from mining or harvesting oil. Maybe some of us can return to subsistence farming and develop animal husbandry and get the hell away from alcohol, the internet and rampant diabetes. I don't advocate sovereign nations but perhaps Territories like Guam and PR. And re-opening bison migration routes out West where is is under-populated now. "Indians" still need a better deal.

This is a silly question because it would never, ever happen. Perhaps you don't know that various tribes are in court consistently, trying to get back lands promised to them in treaties. It doesn't happen.

Besides, if you gave "full custody of the land" back to all the tribes, where would all the illegal white immigrants and occupiers go? The tribes claimed every piece of land in what's now the USA! LOL
