I'm alaskan native athabaskan and a share holder of doyon. So I do get free healthcare, dental, at cost eye care from doyon and their land management for profit businesses. I also get a stock divided about $1500 a year ontop of the alaskan pfd that this year looks like $1,718. Similar logic but on a state level. By being an alaskan resident you are a share holder of alaskan oil profits.

Alaska was set up this way because of how fucked up the Indian reservation land was for a hundred years. From there civil rights was in full swing before oil was discovered and the trans alaskan pipeline was made.

Back on topic set up a similar land management corporation for black people using federal land as reparations that isn't a direct cash injection but a long term investment. Lot of up front work and you need legendary skilled people to get it running. I can see it working.

How would that help anyone? How did it help the native Americans? They are governed by a ruling elite of cheifs who live high on the hog while the rest of the people live lives of poverty in crime ridden reservations that are riddled with drug and alcohol related problems. @OddBeMe I had an uncle who was a cop. He took the lieutenants' exam twice.. Both times he got the top score. However all he Irish guys got called up and my uncle who had a very Italian name got screwed over. Finally the got promoted on the third try.
