How about before we all start going off on this, instead we start by understanding what she actually said? I have lived in Latin America and I speak Spanish and understand the culture pretty well. She is not speaking of military "mobilization." Mobilizar in Spanish doesn't always mean in a military sense any more than "mobilize" always means military action in English. It can also mean to organize and carry out a social or political action. It is imperative to look at things in context because this knee jerk kind of emotional reaction some people on GAG are expressing is exactly how wars start or, at the very least, how we form erroneous misconceptions about other peoples or countries. Frankly, Trump needs to stop threatening other countries. Like it or not, he is the head of this country and his words and actions matter. If Canada or Mexico initiated the kinds of verbal assaults on the US that he has on their nations, does anyone really believe we wouldn't respond? She is responding to his threats and actions on the world stage and standing up for her country. She is saying they are not going to accept his behavior towards Mexico lying down. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
Well, looking at it from a neutral perspective not being either American or Mexican. Territories were taken from Mexico and joined to the United States so legally Mexico has the right to those. Will it happen soon or ever? Probably not. Territory has changed hands in this region and the world for that matter for hundreds, thousands of years. I'm never justifying it or not but that's how it's been. So before independent Mexico, Spanish Mexico, Aztecs, Mayans, Indians, who ever else was there? USA is a powerful country and it would be absurd to even contemplate invasion or annexation. However, Rome was once powerful and invincible as was Persia and Mongolia but the eventually broke, crashed fell apart. Well, not culturly but definitely politically and militarily. Domestic policy fed by greedy corporate power has ruined America and made it's people poor, debt slaves. They say if you have $1,000 in your pocket, a house and no debt then you're richer than 70% of Americans if not more. So the system disencourages Americans from having children but in Mexico the birth rates are high and many leave for a better and safer life. For this reason, maybe one day the cards will be on the table for an independent California? Who knows? The system is a problem in America and it's definitely a good thing Trump has sent troops to the border and the standoff in regards to tariffs was a deal breaker for a joint military operation between Mexico and the US to hit the cartels. Let's not forget the CI a work with the cartels as they are/were just legal gangsters and from what I understand Trump is cleaning that dept out which is good. This organisation is very powerful and deep rooted, not an easy job. So when the system gets changed and USA becomes a good country for it's citizens, the threat of losing territory will decrease. For now America has strayed far from when it was formed and what it stood for.
That was never the intention. The Biden administration made a deal with the Mexican leadership, the cartels, not the “government”. That deal guaranteed them US revenues in exchange for sending agents of chaos to come here and destabilize our country and economy. Under democrat rule, they would use fear and ignorance to take full control and establish their fascist state because only democrats know what’s best for everyone. Under conservative leadership, they create enough conflict and chaos that Drumpf looks like the bad guy regardless of his response. If he does nothing, they call him a lame duck. When he reacts accordingly, they call him a racist and a fascist. Democrats have literally chided Drumpf for upholding or replicating policies and practices that DEMOCRAT leaders initiated long before he was even a candidate. Policies that they LOVED as long as the POTUS had a ‘D’ next to their name. They’re all liars and hypocrites.
They have no power to take it anyway. People need to stop living in the 200 year old past. Why are Americans like this? Are people in France still demanding some justice over the French Revolution? Hell, people have mostly made peace with all of the WW2 atrocities. Are people in Europe/Germany going to have generations in 200 years bringing all that up again?
How about who controlled Mexico before the Spanish came and colonized it? You know "Spanish" isn't native to Central America, just like English, French and Portuguese were not native to ANY of the Americas. Europe's fingerprints are all over these continents.

Remember when President Trump said he would take land, even suggesting force at one point if they couldn’t reach a deal on it. Same “strong man” energy with little to no follow through.
I will say, Mexico declined Trump’s one sided offer of “I will have Mexico pay for that wall” then Trump said in retaliation, “the wall just went one foot higher” which of course it didn’t since the wall was never finished in his first term and won’t even be finished in his second.
Mexico ceded that land 176 years ago and since then it has been in the USA.
Mexico is weak and cannot get that land back. And they will not get that land back. They are lucky they have a prosperous neighbor that they can suck off its tit.
Even if they had that land back this year it would rapidly devolve into a shithole.

Well more than half. It’s widely recognized that the cartels own Mexican government the way corporations own US government. They are the real puppet masters and the government is made up entirely of their cronies.

A large number of them do want to retake it. Mexico has been allowed to meddle far too much in US politics and society. It's well past time to cut their static line.
