Why can J. D. Vance change his mind, but not Kamala Harris?

Kamala Harris clearly said some things 4 years ago that she now claims she no longer believes in or supports. Conservatives seem to have issues accepting this, that she changed her mind.

In contrast J. D. Vance called Trump "America's Hitler". The conservatives seem to have no issue believing that he no longer thinks this. They accept that he changed his mind.

Why are they willing to accept that their. VP candidate changed hhs mind from the past, but not Harris?

Because it is obvious that Harris does not really believe what she says. She is telling the public this BS so she will get them to vote for her. Once she is elected she will not do anything tht she says she will do.
JD Vance saw that he was wrong about Trump; He showed he was capable of change but did so because he realized he was wrong and not to pander for votes. This was many years ago and Trump even endorsed him in his run for the senate.

Harris has been very honest about what she says. Vance flips on many things. He was caught on TV stating that he made up the stuff about Springfield residents saying that immigrants are eating their pets because it would help cause the residents to dislike the immigrants. The reporter nailed him immediately on that and he quickly backed up saying she didn't understand. We all saw him do it. He definitely panders for votes, and Trump supports his lies.

@Red_Arrow Kamala Harris has flipp flopped on all the radical issues she pushed over her whole sordid career. Ban fracking, defund the police, allow open borders, keep printing money, and on and on and on. She would not admit that she was in favor of abortions in the 9th month. It is a horrible thing to be a proponent of but she refused to say that she was against it. She would allow taking a live baby out of the womb and choking the life out of it. I suppose at least she did not lie about that.
When you say she has been honest about what she says, the truth is that she may speak but she really says nothing which is what her whole campaign is based on. She is the Seinfeld of politics, a platform about nothing.
