We just gonna pretend that A) Vice Presidents are responsible for any policy, and B) that Trump didn’t lie about the election being stolen, to the point where people rushed the Capitol, and to this day believe a bunch of insane conspiracy theories?

The conspiracy theory mentality is literally the biggest danger to America going on right now, so many millions of minds have been poisoned to believe in a bunch of bullshit that isn’t happening. Thats bigger than Trump himself, but it’s his movement that popularized it and effectively broke America. We’re big-time fucked until we abandon that craziness.

All that, and so much more that I’d need hours of typing to detail, is so, SO MUCH WORSE than anything you could threaten me with from the left. Half of America has seemingly lost its mind (and I have to specify “the right side”, because if you don’t, some mouth-breather who shouldn’t have passed third grade will be like “uh, yeah…. THE LEFT!!!”, and start high-fiving each other like mentally slow orangutans, thinking this was a clever jab, and not elementary school playground shit🤦‍♂️😂).

But I’ve just never seen Americans this bad, and it sucks. It’s disheartening, and it’s embarrassing. It’s also shameful to vote with only your own personal interests in mind, so saving myself, who needs no saving, is not the issue, I’m concerned for other vulnerable demographics who some of the straight, white, often-male, often-Christian folks are systematically giving shit to.

The bottom line is that MAGA in general, led by Trump, but expanding even beyond his direct reach support FUCKED UP social positions and attitudes, like character-destroyingly fucked up. They either support these fucked up things becoming law, or they support allowing certain states —who they KNOW have the worst intentions— to make those laws, and as long as that has any place in their platform, and they haven’t showed up on a grand stage with their hat in their hands, sincerely apologetic, and forever renouncing and denouncing anything that has EVEN A SNIFF of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, white supremacy, Christo-fascism, authoritarianism, “patriotic” indoctrination of schoolchildren and hiding true history, espousal of conspiracy theories, caring about your gun hobby more than the safety of children and society-at-large, “anti-expertise-ism” where they don’t believe PROFESSIONAL SCIENTISTS over Cousin Jim-Bob on Facebook if the answer is inconvenient, and just this entire general idea of “fake news” and immediately dismissing anything that paints MAGA or Trump in a negative light or opponents in a positive light, in favor “alternative facts” that better suit the desired narrative……until all that is addressed and apologized for, I find it hard to imagine that the Democrats could roll out a worse option to any and all of that, and I can’t imagine voting for a MAGA Republican. They try to make it seem like it comes from some moral or logical high ground, but it doesn’t, that’s fucking preposterous. And since normal Republicans don’t have the balls to stand up to it because they need the run-off political enthusiasm, I can’t vote for them either.

Insofar as it was vice President Biden's policies that destroyed due process in college campus sexual assault investigations (in order to handle a crisis that didn't exist), the Biden administration has admitted to pressuring social media companies to suppress dissent on Covid, AND mandated all members of the armed forces take an untested mutagenic agent, the only thing we're being asked to pretend is that the "conspiracy theorists" are WRONG.

@RowdyYates he got old, man. What is he supposed to do? He was the last to realize it, that wasn’t ideal as far as the replacement campaign goes for the next term, but that’s about the only serious complaint I have.

I wish he could’ve done more but the first two years were about getting the economy recovered, which we’ve largely accomplished. The second half he’s had a deliberately combative and disruptive House Of Reps to deal with, with the sole mission of besmirching Joe Biden and getting FoxNews face time for it. You may have noticed all of the investigations that have gone absolutely nowhere? Yeah, that’s what all that was. Because Trump is the only guy that can activate enough voters to make Republicans competitive despite their unpopular or just deliberately unstated agenda, so they desperately need him, even though he’s probably got most of them tearing their hair out behind the scenes with his fuckery. Believe me, he’ll be gone as soon as he’s unsalvageable for Republicans.

Trump would be ousted for incompetence and bad behavior while on the job, Biden is getting pushed out due to age, and a lot of perceived public disapproval of him stems from right wing disinformation and mischaracterization of him and really just the left wing in general. Joe’s fine, and I mostly thank him for his efforts. But I remember when he was elected last time, thinking “ok, the country is saved from Trump for now…” (little did I know what was coming in the coming months🤦‍♂️) “…. Biden can bust out four years and then the Democrats can find someone younger, and we’ll see if Republicans trend back towards the middle or if they go full crazy, and we’ll see who the choices are in four years and reassess.” But Republicans chose to go full crazy, dusty ass Trump is BACK🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️, and that makes the decision REAL EASY for me.

MAGA’s whole shit is just crazy to me, so it was Biden, and now Harris, much by default. But Biden is looking too old to go on, so I get pushing for the switch, just because this might not be a “lose and get another crack at it in 4 years”-situation for the Democrats.

You can do a lot of at least temporary damage with Executive Orders while they get challenged in court for YEARS, however fucked up they might be.
