Both sides are saying that if the other wins America is doomed. What do you think?
All I know is that I do not want America to go backwards.

Both sides are saying that if the other wins America is doomed. What do you think?
All I know is that I do not want America to go backwards.

Well I believe that both are right and in their own way they're talking about themselves too..
Trump has many issues he lies He cheats he had a chance to become the best president we've ever had any blew it..
With Harris I don't even think in real life that she's been up against things that have to make her think in a heartbeat that have to make her way things out so she would depend be dependent on her party and the people that are helping her her team I guess I would say and who are they.
We are actually a bunch of sheep being herded into a big pen.
And we are allowing it to happen you're trying to tell me that out of everybody in America these are the only two we can come up with there's something wrong with this picture it's because politicians are bought and sold
The big corporations the big secret societies the big influencers are the ones that run this country
We are at a pivotal point right now that everything is in chaotic chaos the wrong word to the wrong country every country wants to be number one with currency whoever holds on to the currency that is like the American dollar that was used around the world.
Will be the top dog and we have all these other countries coming up with their own currency and look at us America our politicians want the government to have its own currency and be our banks so they can control us we're screwed no matter what if we allow this to happen because then if they control our money they control everything we do we the people if we don't want to be doomed we need to become one unified and say no more this is b******* no more you have bought and sold us so many times. China owns most of the US nowadays it's our politicians that are just screwing America up because they're doing it for the good old boy system and they're doing it for the people that pay for their re-election. ... All the very wealthy Bitcoin owners are back in truck now why because they want a favor and it has to do with them getting richer and richer and the poor getting poorer
Out of 570 something Federal elected officials not one dares to stand up to be great not one
The other 2 to 3,000 elected officials not one of them dared to stand up to be great something's wrong with that picture too
I’m curious what “going backwards” means.
You should at least understand even if America crashes and burns it don’t mean we all die. It means our lives get significantly harder.
We live a comfortable and privileged life here in America. Even our homeless are fat. Sure there’s struggle and suffering but compare the suffering and struggle of the homeless here and Africa and you’ll see the difference. Children whose bones you can see and shit. Other parts of the world women are FORCED to sell their bodies to eat. Because of that the view on prostitution is different.
How to put this… normalcy bias. We see something here as bad but over there it’s a way of life. Wait until things come crashing down. Strong independent women are gonna have a hard time. These idiots living off their parents are gonna have to be useful. Sex will have consequences that cost lives. Your right to bare arms or speak your mind will be limited only by the tolerance of the side in power.
We are gonna fall. Trump winning will, at best, give us time. The left will riot when he wins, this time the right might riot if he loses, even if he wins they will try and kill him again and again, even if they fail when he’s out they will put an end to every thing he’s accomplished day 1… eventually we’re going to fall. I want it to happen now so I can hurry and build a better country from the rubble. Ide start by wiping out the left lol… jk. I don’t think highly of the left or trans or feminism so ideas like theirs should be banned. Its fascist but the alternative is allowing it to grow back into a cancer that started all this.
Yeah but at this point let's look at who is right.
Trump: made the economy better, lowered inflation, helped the black community with the first act, funded and got several HBCU out of debt, planned to announce the platinum plan in his second term. Secured our borders from people crossing illegally, so people would have to legally enter our country and provide just like us. As an American president put Americans first.
Biden/harris: ignored the border overwhelming us with illegal immigrants, focused on transgender gay rights and racebaiting so much our economy suffered horribly. Racial devision far worse. The black community has suffered horribly. They deem anyone who speaks out about what the black community needs to fix, and how to do it a racist, so they can keep telling us to ignore our struggles and blame white people and systemic racism for our problems. They want us poor and frustrated so they can lie to us about helping so we keep voting for them.
They promote crushing anyone who speaks differently than them. They promote segration, they promote racial division. They promote lies about gender, they promote lies about police, who are here to keep us safe, they want us to not trust them.
It's been the dems this whole time that is the problem. I watched trump at the black journalist associations speak honest be attacked and he responded very professionally and the democrats include kamala "blackcent" Harris say he was being divisive and vicious. She says he is scared to debate her, but he showed up to the black journalists expecting to debate her, she didn't show
Not one iota of that word 🥗 is true. Not even the word "the".
@DrPepper12 sure it's not. Way to back up your words
@dougeats naw. The dems are losing our votes we seeing clearly. They fake. Start watching trumps full speeches and not the edit lies being pushed. I'm done with the lies. They pander to us with ratchett celebrities tell us we too stupid to get ID, and to do math, they tell us they denounce all of our educated black women and praise our ghetto trash women. They have done 0 policies for us. But claim they do. Any white person who says they are lying are racist. They claim any black person who calls them out are not black.
They told us if we don't vote biden we ain't black.
This is propaganda to force our compliance. This election you gonna see the black vote is slowly leaving the dems. They are proving to be the true racists
@dougeats yup 2 got on here said this is ridiculous but did nothing to prove me wrong.
Owens smart educated talks about what our needs are, and solutions to solve. Deemed a racist.
Megan thee stallion, cardi b the definition of what is wrong with black America praised as amazing powerful women.
We sit here getting all the illegals crossing in our neighborhoods, while the white democrats go, there's no border problem. They are so out of touch with reality, because they don't care. We live it , they read it.
We done, trump2024!!! Black MAGA!!
I have neither the crayons to explain it to you nor the explosives to break through your Trump™ MAGA approved Reality Distortion Bubble. Tell Q i said hi!
91% plan voting dems on recent polling but you fo you
@DrPepper12 so. I tell you my opinions and you tell me i can't figure it out. You have not laid out a statement to have a discussion. You only come here and hurl insults.
I never once attacked your intelligence or beliefs, but you decided this is the way to prove your right.
@studyingauthor this the love you want that dems bring to the table?
I can't speak for everyone... you know that. I speak for what I believe in. Everyone has their evils. I personally call myself a demon. But I know for a fact a fair argument includes facts... not opinions. Not even on the person arguing.
There is no border problem IF eVerify is enforced with draconian fines for employers but GOP blocks that for theyre corporate pimps
Your OBVIOUSLY indoctrinated and in a cult and voting against your own interests. How can i not inform you of your grave errors? I do it from a place of love whether you believe that or not. Ya know, like jesus exemplified...
@DrPepper12 come to my neighborhood and surrounding and tell us all about the border problem as you see all the illegals.
I can see them here EVERY morning at home depot waiting to get picked for work that day!! Whats your point?
@DrPepper12 Literally everything she said was true. Are you a paid troll? I wonder.
@DrPepper12 i researched e-verified. Explain how that stops people from paying illegals to work for them? Most people that hire illegals pay them under the table and do not want to have them verified.
@DrPepper12 what's my point? How is it we have no problem with that. 6.24 million unemployed. You are okay with American jobs going to people who aren't supposed to be here. You literally admit they are getting jobs that other Americans could have
@miah04 i said ENFORCE eVerify and aggressively monitor employers or industries where this is a problem. Draconian penalties will end it.
Americans dont want to do those jobs fool! Pick fruit 15 hours a day? Your nuts
@Jersey2 As a matter of fact im looking to supplement my income. How does one apply?
@DrPepper12 they can't enforce the border. A small precise section of America. But they can enforce this? How they gonna enforce this?
E-verify sounds like an empty solution. Hey we can solve the illegal problem by stopping them after they get in and find places to hide, find jobs and then after they live here for months years and so on we might get lucky and find them.
How bout we stop them before. That sounds better.
Who says they don't? You really this out of touch?
I can't feed my family i rather watch them starve then do them jobs.
Americans work fast food, horrible job.
Americans pick up our trash. Horrible job. Clean out toilets. But these specific jobs is where Americans choose to draw the line?
You really have no clue what you are saying.
If there is a job available and a person in need they will work it.
The truth is employers want cheap labor, to make bigger profits, not Americans refusing to do the labor.
@Miah04 You hit many points on the head. These are major issues. But also issues that are important are our men and how they’re treated, their value and place in society, the family, how we treat our neighbors. I think Trump will help but read my above comment… This country is going to fall.
In my opinion, The biggest problem we have in this country is this very divisive thought pattern.
Politics love the Us vs Them mentality. They are telling people that because they want to win. Its easy to control people this way too.
Its always Liberals vs Conservatives in this country when really we should be working towards a goal and bettering society.
We can't progress by going backwards and the past is good learning tool. What was good and what was bad about the past is the question people should ask too!

Yes, I think it is. Mainly because people can't have reasonable discussions and disagreements anymore.
Another reason why is because the president is just one office. There's still Congress, which has two different houses to it. Then there's also the Supreme Court. We have separation of powers for a reason. Granted, you could also make arguments about the deep state and unelected bearucrats having undue influence, but that's another matter. So really, it's just plain ignorant. Plus, every few generations, the clock would basically reset. What my kids and grandkids know to be America will likely be very different than what I and my parents knew.
As for "going back"? You're going to have to define what you're so afraid of going back to, what specifically was so bad a out it, and most importantly, why. Sure, there were things that needed to be changed or fixed. For years, people have gone on and on about "modern world this" and "modern world that", but I have yet to hear a single unbiased explanation as to why "modern" means "better" and why everything that's older than last week should be treated with contempt.
I'm surprised anyone can comprehend anything that comes out of Trump's mouth... It took me a while to figure out that he doesn't know the difference between asylum and mental asylum and he seems to think Hannibal Lecter is a real person? "The late great". Either way calling a fictitious serial killer great is pretty weird... Not to mention he seems to suggest people will never have to vote again if he is voted in...
@Razp_Sorbet They defend anything he says as he was joking, kidding, or immediately turn it into a whataboutism to deflect. He isn't kidding, and he doesn't know the difference between seeking asylum and mental hahaha. What a joke. People that can't critique their own party at all is weird to me. He's a god to them. It's unreal.
@Razp_Sorbet
With Trump you have an actual record to show how he would govern, for the most part Kamala too we know what we can expect from both.
Lately Trump has been saying that he does not even need people to vote for him for him to win. In the past he has lied about who won vote counts, and even tried to prevent the certification of the actual election results, and that even included cheering on people threatening to hang Pence, who was honest enough to do his job honestly. Trump is likely counting on the state electors who have pledged to vote for Trump of who their state actually votes for. Many Republicans are saying that the GOP is gone! Even though they still believe in the Republican ideals, they see that MAGA has replaced those ideal with "Trump power" even though they realize much of his way is illegal and unconstitutional. Even Fox Fake "News" show videos of his anti-American ways while trying to back him up. Folks, watch the videos, not the Fox commentators. They show what he is really doing.
We have been going backwards for quite a while. The school system indoctrinates, manipulating kids to be conforming slaves to the corporate empires which control the government. We are not a land of free, we are over taxed, underfunded, absent of resolution and protection with big corp and the government. We lack real representation from the government. To say of the people, by the people, for the people would be a highly misleading statement.
The government is not part of the people, the rules that apply to us, do not apply to them. Same with big corp, when they do wrong its a violation, when we do wrong its a crime. They pay a fine, to the government, and we pay with time.
Seems as the years pass, things aren't getting better, which means…..
Is it sad? Yes.
But I'd like to delve a little deeper into what you said: what is it that you don't want America to go back to? In the post-MLK days, we had a goal: that our people should be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin. I don't think we ever quite got there, but we made real progress- and more relevantly, that was at least what we were TRYING to do.

For much of the country, that's not the goal any more; we've got a woman, quite possibly our next President, who was chosen to be in that position because, and only because, of her sex and skin color.
Do you object to America going back to meritocracy as an ideal?
We been going "backwards" for nearly 4 years now, economically, politically, socially we are descending into a 3rd world.
That said I understand Democrats see that as "forward" somehow on very different issues and areas they care about so we will have to disagree on what issue is important and what is "backward" on almost everything.
The problem of course is we have created a Federal Government soo broad and deep in vast powers it claims over every issue. We are every election forced to fight over every issue in a winner take all conflict.
So it does seem like the world ends should we lose everything with every election. This is why it doesn't really matter who wins, unless they dramatically downsize the Federal government's domain of control the union's days are numbered.
I don't think so, but lets be honest -- we all know which side cares about us and which side is only concerned about increasing their own power and control over us.
I know many people will not believe it, scoff at, and some will actually be happy--that when Trump said if he wins, it would be the last time people ever voted. That's because he would be king/dictator of the first degree and your voting rights would be taken away, just like the GOP tried to take away the voting rights of the people in Georgia. His models and heroes are Putin and Hitler. I think the majority of us know he isn't lying this time.
Correct!!
The real problem is one of them is right, but sheeple believe keyboard warriors. Like goebels nazi said they would.
I wonder why someone would spend time without pay to be a liberal keyboard warrior just to spread nonsense? Is it funny? At least wait for money! They arenot fighting for truth.
They should
Watch videos!
If Trump is elected he will get us out of Ukraine, stop the flood of illegal aliens at the border. Stimulate energy production in the US. Bring back manufacturing jobs. Improve the environment, make education better make a better economy with lower inflation and many other things,
Kamala will cause higher taxes, higher inflation, make everyone buy electric cars , stimulate more crime, increase illegal immigration, and make it harder to own firearms.
We are not in Ukraine, he blocked the republican border bill by whining about having nothing to campaign on if it passed, us oil production is setting records under Biden, as is job creation. Education is more a state level thing. Inflation has been on the decline for about a year, crime too, etc...
So, you dont actually care about any of these things or you would be a Democrat.
What you care about is Christian nationalism. 🤷
Wild hyperbole and falsehoods.
We are not in Ukraine! The Democrats supported a bipartisan bill to protect our borders that Trump vetoed so he could say the kind of shit you are repeating her. Your last sentence is all bullshit that is put out by the MAGA without any proof. If you really cared about these things you would get out of the MAGA mindset and join the left.
@normalice the border bill allowed 4000 illegal aliens a day to enter the country. There was not 10 cents to finish the wall and the new Border Patrol agents will not arrest and deport illegal aliens. They will process them and give them a court date they won't show up for and turned loose. Mike johnson did the right thing.
No, "$650 million for the border wall". www.npr.org/.../senate-border-deal-reached
@exitseven no it didn't. Right wing media says it did because they want to keep you mad instead of letting your problems get fixed. And you agree to stay mad because you want christian nationalism. That's all this is..
@normalice According to the bill, the Department of Homeland Security has the power to close down the border if the daily average of migrant encounters hits the 4,000 mark. The department would be required to shutter the border to all migrants who do not have appointments if the daily average reaches 5,000. At that point, the border would stay closed until the department is able to process all of the migrants.
Correct. Which has nothing to do with illegal immigrants but with asylum seekers. The problem is you can't know the difference without a trial and the immigration courts are backlogged by months. You also can't detain people for months without a trial because thats a human rights violation. The bill your orange dementia patient had killed for political purposes would have increased immigration judges and lawyers by an order of magnitude - which means we no longer would have had to release asylum seekers into the US because of trial delays.
Again, if you wanted to fix the problem you would be as furious with Trump as the republicans who wrote the bill. But you don't want to fix the problem. You just want christian nationalism.
* 4000 to claim asylum not unqualified entry
MAGA moron trumo blew the BEST bill in 40 years that gave the GOP EVERYTHING on their wish list just so he could have an election issue instead of actually solving a problem. Its all spin, lies and self promotion - not solutions.
@normalice yes we are not in Ukraine. Just 260 billion of our hard earned tax dollars are.
Sounds like something that makes sense in the far right rage factory but it has no relation to reality.
The problem is you want christian nationalism but you know no one else is stupid enough to want it. So you know you have to lie and stay mad about nonsense to get it. You are fake.
@normalice They all call themselves "asylum Seekers" That way they get all the benefits that citizens don't get.
@normalice So billions and billions of tax dollars is okay to sent overseas bever to be heard from again?
@normalice
@exitseven
Maybe if you don't recall but back in the 1990s we guarantee their security if they would give their nukes back to Russia. Then came the invasion of Crimea and we did nothing now there is a full scale invasion and apparently we realized that we gave our word to these people. We looked like untrustable fools over Crimea and trust me, Israel, Iran, North Korea, China, Taiwan, Sweden, Norway, Pakistan were ALL watching us walk away from our commitment that guaranteed the prevention of 5 more nuckear powers when USSR broke up. Open a fucking book the two of you!! 🤬
@DrPepper12 In 1990 I was about to enter grad school and change careers. I do not remember any of this.
What masters program? I started mine in 95. I can't BELIEVE the dumbing down of these programs today! I actually had to do research and defend my work to a proffesorial panel. Now the kids get twisted if they dont get granted the 3rd delay on a 12 page rough draft
@exitseven none of that addresses the fact that you just want christian nationalism and so are predisposed to lying to get it. So, i can only assume it is all fake.
@DrPepper12 I do vaguely recall that but I don't think I've contradicted that anywhere in this conversation?
@DrPepper12 I was enrolled in the Masters in Computer Science program at Boston University. I was about to become unemployed and I wanted to have a career in IT.
@exitsteven. Thats a tough program at a prestigious school! Kudos to you!
@DrPepper12 I barely graduated but I graduated just the same. It was touch and go for a while.
@goaded Zelensky and Joe Biden and other crooked politicians do not put mansions in their own names. Even Joe knows how to set up shell corporations and have a bagman.
Newsweek is probably one of the fakest of the fake news. They acknowledge that Zelensky has several shell corporations set up in a foreign country. Do you think he set them up for college funds for his kids? It also acknowledges that the Ukraine military is loaded with corruption. Zelensky has properties all over the world.
So, you know they have mansions, but you don't know where. Is that right?
Are they anything like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Putin%27s_Palace ?
Leftist politicians and the mass media cycle have manufactured and repeated the disgusting lie that it will be “the end of democracy” if Trump wins over and over and over again.
They have said it so many times that many low IQ/info voters are literally believing that bullshit and it driving people to extreme violence.
In reality there is no clean exit from the Federal Reserve System. The entire global economy will have major pains to work through. That said, Democrats (Socialists) are not only backwards, but upside down. Their path will be world ending for millions upon millions of people. Even if Trump does everything correctly, it will still be hard to transition and it will take decades.
well... they said we were doomed before if trump got elected. but... here we are. i think they mean THEY are doomed if he gets elected. and that's a very big difference. i really don't give a shit if "they" are doomed.
Republicans have no comeback game. We're not in a cult, they are. We're not liars, they are. You're doomed with them, not us. We're not weird, they are. Pitiful originality but when you chose a middle school temper tantrum throwing crybaby, that's how it goes. Trump is doomed, not America.
Think about it. Evil is doomed if Good wins. Good is doomed if evil wins. The only way for Good to win over evil, is for President Donald J Trump 🙏🇺🇸❤️👍🙂 to win the Presidency again. Anyone who supports the demonicrats and harris is clearly brainwashed by the evil left.
No one is proposing for America to go backwards except to restore those values that made America the greatest freest most prosperous most powerful most generous most successful most innovative most charitable most tolerant most just most liberating and most noble country in the history of the human race.
THAT is what MAGA is about.
What is sad to me is to see that so many people in this country are ignorant of History that they cannot see how President Trump represents the light and the Democrats represent the darkness. Throughout history those countries where the electorate was this ignorant ended in catastrophe and dictatorship.
The US cannot survive with a bad economy and that is what Harris offers. Trump has and will again turn around the economy allowing people to afford food, utilities, housing, children and vacations. Harris social policies will not be reachable without a vibrant economy so it is an important election.
And this is front page news in Europe today:
www.dailymail.co.uk/.../...-jobs-unemployment.html
You said:
"Trump has and will again turn around the economy allowing people to afford food, utilities, housing, children and vacations."
First, i hate trump but inflation is NEITHER of their faults. It was worldwide and is an ECONOMIC LAW that inflation follows a pandemic. Its inviolable and IS GUARANTEED to occur. Stop blaming biden. Its not his or Trumps fault.
@DrPepper12 First, you use caps A LOT. Why is THAT?
Second, the US is the reserve currency, the economic superpower, and as they say when the US sneezes, the rest of the world gets pneumonia.
Inflation was caused by massive US government spending. It was not necessary, certainly not to the level that it was spent. We now spend more on interest in the debt than anything else. By adding so much digital currency, creating with a few keystrokes, the US inflated its money. China warned us not to do it as they had a lot of US bonds but we did it and they reinvigorated their efforts for BRICs.
Trump added to it, yes. But when Obama told us to get used to a flat economy, Trump made it soar. It was better under him. It has been worse under Biden as he is a zombie and someone else is calling the shots. Harris it will be worse as well as she has never shown us anything whether it is in San Fransisco, or at the border or in any point of the economy. She has no track record as she has never been out of the locker room.
Trump will grow the economy. That will help us. Corruption and inefficiency should be attacked but that won’t happen but at least we will have a vibrant economy again.
Pick up an economic textbook and read up on pandemics and inflation. Stimulus spending will dwarf the pandemic impact. Condumer spending and wages are greater on a Daily basis than stimulus spending for a year.
@DrPepper12 PPP was wasted money. Huge sums that made corrupt people rich, as in millionaires. I worked in the global economy having done business on six continents and responsible for $3 billion a year in expenditures. So I know something about it but as far as I understand you are a teacher, most likely at a modest school and a modest position with little real world economy exposure.
The money was wasted, the amount was outrageous and now the debt will eventually consume us. I am prepared for a financial meltdown. As Warren Buffett would say, I have a wide moat. I hope you can weather the storm that is coming but most democrats and most people will not do well.
So blanket "wasted" no qualifier? Some business guru you are. It must be easy with spending $3B of other ppls money in "expenditures". Again, pat yourself on the back! Real world? Ok, i worked for Aon prior to teaching, you may have heard of them... If you knew a thing about "debt" which you again, did not qualify, you would know that that debt is majority held by anericans or American institutions so amounts to $ we owe ourselves. Still problematic but you can put your hair out now and let go of the pearls. Ill be fine, thanks for your concern tho, expats will he able to watch from a safe distance...
@DrPepper12 I had a very good friend who was a C Level at Aon before I met him at an F500. Perhaps you worked for him…
So… the debt doesn’t really matter because… oh, never mind. Let’s see what some major publications known for a focus on the economy think like Forbes. This article is a couple of years old but still stands and what is interesting is the thought just a couple of years ago that we would have a $27T debt in 2025. It is already $35T. I remember Obama saying the debt must be dealt with when he came into office and it was $8T if memory serves.
www.forbes.com/.../
finance.yahoo.com/.../...5-trillion-140318585.html
seekingalpha.com/.../4704202-us-debt-crisis-explained
USDebt is rising $1T every 100 days. Wrap your mind around that. 1,000,000,000,000. One Trillion every 100 days. Explain to me how that is not a problem, teach.
www.cnbc.com/.../...lion-about-every-100-days.html
Was he at 92nd floor, #1 world trade center before 9/11?
Its not the hair on fire problem. Its still a problem. Im partial to The Economist. Their journalism is probably the best on the planet.
@DrPepper12 Please let me know why 1 trillion dollars every 100 days is not a problem. Is it even survivable? Obviously the time duration between hitting $1 Trillion will become less and less like a noose tightening. It is a debt bomb. It will go off.
FIAT currency lasts about 80 years before a country has serious problems. We are no different and we are at 80 years. You can howl at the moon all you want but it won’t change this horrible reality.
And why do FIAT currency based economies fail? Because of unrestrained spending. And you are supporting that which is beyond foolish.
www.economist.com/.../america-faces-a-debt-nightmare
And at the end, when the liberals tell you it was conservatives who did this (which they will and you will believe them) just know that nothing then matters, even your misplaced rage. But as I said, I have a wide moat from meaning other people’s $3B in expenditures which has left me with enough money to live as I like and still leave millions to my kids. You see I have half of my assets invested in other countries, other currencies and in other assists not affected by US dollars or debt… as a matter of fact they will increase as the debt balloons. I also capitalize on US bonds which are paying well. But when the day comes, people like you will be screaming with snot running down your face to tax people with money because you never could take care of yourself.
Are you arguing for the gold standard over fiat? The fact that we, for now, are the reserve currency will push off your gloomy 80 year predictions. I AGREE unrestrained spending is problematic! What part of that is not getting through? It largely reagans budgets that opened the flood gates and then those "peace divedend" lies from bush and Clinton were just pure fiction. I too have diversified assets internationally. Here's a good tip: African telecoms I think it's up 1300% since I got in. You got it twisted homie, I'll be just fine!
Bruh I don't need a money manager! Bunch of rapacious criminals. Don't worry about me showing up at your office It ain't going to happen
@DrPepper12 No, not arguing for gold standard. Arguing that the debt is more than just problematic as you think, it is a cancer that is eating us.
You never explained why $1T in additional debt every 100 days is not that bad of a problem instead of being deadly as I think. We get very little for that huge additional debt per day. I believe it will eventually (within 10 years) crush the majority of Harris voters and I won’t feel bad for them, or you, because they were stupid. We will could very well collapse due to it as the democrats run up huge amounts of debt. Republicans can do better as well, no doubt, but this isn’t due to a President who was in power 40 f’ing years ago. But Dems will dig a hole we can never get out of and I actually suspect we are already there… we are just circling the drain now.
Think of we invest $1Trillion every 100 days into schools, medical, roads, innovation and more. It is mostly pissed away and we have little to show for it.
Even though I am now relaxing full time I haven’t even checked my portfolio during this massive selloff. You know why? Because I will not have to change my lifestyle one iota, it’s just noise to me.
Africa is corrupt and the Chinese are in there. I will stay with large caps more than high risk in Africa because again, it won’t affect my lifestyle if I miss that it’s okay and I won’t have to be concerned with the dark hole that it can be. But even US large caps are only 25% of my portfolio. Good luck with that though as it seems good for you in Africa. My guess is some European telecoms are in there and I have a fair amount of FTSE 500.
So how to raise revenue while SLOWLY tapering expenditures? I have ideas but im genuinely curious about yours. you're obvs a smart comfortable dude with a wealth of experience
@DrPepper12 The first thing I would do is to build bipartisan support. That is a tall order so how to do it? The democrats have a slew of programs they want funded and the republicans want to cut taxes. Frankly, this is how we got in this mess as when each comes to power they get what they want so over time we have spent more and taxed less.
The surprising answer in how to get bipartisan support to attack this is to give them what they both want, new spending and new tax cuts… but with a twist. The first phase will go after corruption and abuse of current programs which is the low hanging fruit. This largely depends on data analytics to identify problem areas such as the medical organization that has unusual billing with large numbers of procedures. I remember a story about a single doctor that submitted payment for more hours than there are in a 24x7 week. GAO can help in this effort and perhaps lead it. I think they will need help though as well and I have some ideas on that too.
https://www.gao.gov/about/what-gao-does
Now the twist, half of the saved money due to elimination of fraud in medical programs of Medicaid, Medicare and others, military programs, IRS tax programs, social security program (there are a slew of people collecting dead relatives checks), government employees cheating on Personal days, sick days, travel and living costs including such things as gaming the system by flying first class because they waited to select a flight that is full and then being allowed to go first class etc, … half of this money goes to new programs such as pre-schoolers and daycare. The other half goes for tax credits such as to increased credits for children for families or small businesses or against the debt. Prosecution and recovery of money will also occur in this phase. As word gets out that this is happening there will be crooks who stop their theft and the analytics can identify that as well and make them a target for closer review.
Phase 1 will be lucrative and a while, at least 18 months. At least we will get something for our money.
Phase 2 doesn’t get talked about until Phase 1 is struggling to find new savings to squeeze out unless the leaders see it as doable at the same time. In this phase, corruption is rooted out with sting operations in many areas of government including congress. Old “Abscam” type stings, FBI coordinated stings at all levels of government. Also in this phase is closing long open tax loopholes. Many years prior there may have been a tax loophole inserted for a company incorporated in Iowa on X day of YYYY year. This is what a tax hole looks like. Since it was years or even decades ago, the one in congress who was paid to get it in is gone and it should be too. New bribes will be made but if the bipartisan team stays focused they will eliminate many, not all, of them.
Phase 3 is streamlining government and then processes they use. Big issues like a flat tax would be discussed here but that won’t happen. But smaller but meaningful changes can happen. These would rely on employees and participants in programs to identify which is far more doable.
Anyway, these are a few thoughts. Imperfect but directionally right.
THIS:
"All I know is that I do not want America to go backwards."
This is why you vote for progress... that is, progessive and not conservative which, by definition, means going backward from progress.
Scaremongering has long been a political tactic. While I'm sure a lot of Trump fans salivate at the prospect of marching people into concentration camps, the political system moves too slow for politicians to do any real harm.
It seems quite clear neither you @purplepoppy or @goaded have any idea how our political system works.
When we say we are a federation of States we mean it.
President's do not have that kind of power, nor does congress.
This is not a parliamentary system, nor is it Germany. If congress passed an "enabling act" not only would nobody believe it constitutional. The president would have no real way of enforcing it.
Our States command 90% of all law enforcement resources, are the only Government with any practical ability to declare a state of Emergency of any kind, and their independently elected and operating governments don't take orders.
Indeed just getting them to comply with federal mandates of any kind takes years, and many elections if ever. That is assuming the state cares more about federal highway funds than the issue, which we know is not the case in any kind of controversial or emergency measure.
During COVID-19 the states could hardly care less what the president wanted them to do. They proved that when they refused to change policy in either direction under pressure.
Forcing them to comply with any mandate takes many years, involving lengthily and costly court disputes which can run for many election cycles, and that is if the issue is relatively non-controversial.
If a significant share of the people care about the issue in the State, they may never comply.
@monorprise Yeah but never underestimate the power of the Federal government to royally fuck up the country. Just look at what the 13th Amendment did.
@on_my_knees I presume you mean the 14th amendment, as the 13th amendment ended slavery in the States of Kentucky and New Jersey the only places there were still slaves to be freed.
The prior "Civil War"(really a "war a between the states" as only one side had an interest in the other.) did really mess up America by making the voluntary union with the consent of the governed into a involuntary empire by force of arms.
The 14th Amendment is the worse amendment because it was (unlike the 13th amendment which was actually pin by Thomas Jefferson decades before) written by power mad idiot who just got down waging that war in a effort to use their lingering majority to try and consolidated their power.
Which of course is why it was as shortsighted in its incomprehension language as their justification for the war itself.
Personally I think because the 14th amendment is soo poorly written, the 17th Amendment is worse institutionally speaking as it removed the Critical balancing check of the State on the Federal Government, and with them the only set of politicians with any consistent self-interest in the limits of the Federal Constitutions in all officials, treaties, judges, and laws.
Indeed this design change is soo bad, for the working of the overall system it was arguably 1 of only 2 things prohibited in Article 5.
@monorprise I'm not talking about an exact re-run of 1933, just that if you have a compliant judiciary, you can do almost anything. If you don't believe Trump should be allowed to round up and deport suspected illegal immigrants by the millions, perhaps you should be working against him regaining power, instead of supporting him.
Texas would play along, even though it would result in countless American citizens being caught up in the dragnet.
But only brown ones, right?
@goaded There isn't a strong case for the Federal Government not having the power to deport invaders no matter what you call them. Regardless The states who also have a power to enforce the same immigration law would mostly help him voluntarily as many are doing now even under threat of legal persecution by the Biden administration.
So there really isn't much opposition outside of blue states, and Trump would not need blue state support to get to millions of illegal Aliens.
Texas alone is wanting to give him nearly as many. Indeed Texans are soo pissed off about the border crisis in general and the betrayal of the federal goverment to defend her borders they are doing it themselfs and openly debating raising her head among the nations of the world given the uselessness and betrayal of the Federal Government.
The border with Mexico is technically the reason Texas is a member of the union.
Although they are no longer as concerned about an invading Mexican goverment the cartels that have for decades effectively run northern Mexico are a major threat and have long been a big concern. There is or rather was a war going on in Northern Mexico against them for control that the Mexican goverment is not winning.
Now the same cartels encroaching into South West border towns & States, using the illegal immigration issue as a tool to finance and get a foothold.
This is why Texas's federal representation are pushing to have the U. S. military push the cartels back from their border, and the state taking matters into its own hands has mobilized its own military to the area.
@monorprise You're right. The 13th Amendment was more of a technicality after everything was said and done. But it wrecked the country. The South then had to exploit loopholes to maintain free labor.
@on_my_knees I don't agree the South's post conquest domestic laws had anything to do with wreaking the country only the south.
States have always maintained different laws that they were disagreeable to the people of other states was the whole point of the federation.
The 14th amendments vague and illresponsable wording however gave Washington politicians a legal excuse to try and placate the imperialist desires of other people in other states to impose more of their domestic views on others.
Slavery however as an institution would have ceased to be economically viable everywhere by the 1920's due to mechanization making the same labor even voluntary with a wage non-viable. (which is why we saw a great northern migration at that time)
The enormous cost of maintaining the police state required to contain the regular revolts and escapes was would have seen the end of slavery even sooner still, already being prohibitive among moderately industrialist north.
This economic reality which was already known and acknowledged at the time is part of what makes the War even less excusable on the grounds of slavery. Nobody in their right mind would have killed 800k+ people and destroyed half the continent to accomplish what they knew would happen anyway peacefully and non-destructively within just a few generations. But of course radical abolitionist were not in their right mind and the war was fraught for imperial partisan not anti-slavery reasons.
@monorprise Domestic law? Don't insult me. We took over the entire country and made damn sure no one fucked with our blacks. We had slaves in the South until the 1960s. And not all of them were trying to escape. That's incredibly naive.
@monorprise I'm not sure where you're from or what libtarded history books you read. But imagine you breed puppies in your backyard, and the feds pass a law saying you can't breed puppies anymore. I'm pretty sure you're not going to have an ounce of respect for that law or the people who made it. And if you were rich enough, you would even put a president in charge of that government and demonize puppies so no one gave a shit about them Therefore the 13th Amendment was the biggest injustice they country could have done to everyone involved.
@monorprise Oct 4, 2022: "Another Texas National Guard soldier on Greg Abbott's border mission dies by apparent suicide
The death is the fifth suspected suicide by a National Guard member since Abbott ordered the massive troop deployment in September 2021...
A total of at least 10 troops have perished while on the protracted mission"
www.sacurrent.com/.../another-texas-national-guard-soldier-on-greg-abbotts-border-mission-dies-by-apparent-suicide-30010067
@monorprise Yeah, let's just keep slavery going until it goes the way of the dodo naturally. That's the best and smartest solution for sure.
@monorprise It's pretty clear that you don't know anything about how fascist regimes can overthrow democracies pretty easily, when given the time and the proper support.
Unless there is a coup, it's always a long, drawn out process of getting people to lose faith in democracy and in their country's government, which is what some of the republican party's supporters have been doing for decades now, piecemeal. The fantasy of a corrupt, almighty deep-state government that is pushing for what is somehow defined as socialism has only just become part of the official party line, under Trump. However, this conspiracy theory is well-entrenched in the conservative/right-wing culture and it has been for decades, gaining traction with Ruby ridge, Waco and the democrats attempts to provide universal healthcare, just like in any other civilzed nation, starting with LBJ and revived by Clinton and Obama. It's been somewhat exploited by the GOP in the past, but never officially endorsed until Trump.
All of the safeguards you're speaking of as if they were guaranteed, miraculous protections against tyranny; well, they can and will be smothered over time when people cease to believe in democracy; when deception, disinformation, populism and conspiracy theories become legitimized political discourse. It can and will happen if enough efforts are made in that aim and if enough people don't believe it can happen or don't care if it does.
No, Trump might not be able to become a full-blown dictator in just four years, but he sure as shit can do enough damage within the government to allow future would-be dictators (or himself) to finish his work quite rapidly, from 2028 on.
He and his supporters are pretty different from what they were back in 2016. Trump has made transgression after trangression since, and his supporters have shown that they will back him no matter what.
@on_my_knees I have no idea what your talking about... now
I was just saying slavery clearly was not the cause of the conflict. Merely a signature issue of many of the differences between both sides.
The 13th amendment was also somewhat inconsequential by the time it was passed effecting only 2 states, and ultimately for economic reasons unnecessarily.
The institution of slavery would have ended on its own in a non-economically destructive way when it lost the competition with mechanization by the 1920's which the same labor eventually did. There was never any need to wage war to ended it in the South, particularly seeing as they have yet to end it around the world even to this day
@Danzigdawson Indeed it was the most non-destructive solution for an institution that had been around for 10,000+ years what difference is a few more generations going to make in the grand scheme of things?
Instead northern progressives kept agitating and attacking southern neighbors until said southern states rationally conculted the union with them was no longer worth the trouble. Much like many American today are again starting to conclude because of the same crusading northern progressives.
At some point you move out of the house when one resent won't stop pestering and imposing themselfs upon you.
Obviously that problem isn't specific to the issue of slavery but rather every issue they pick up and invent every generation to go crusading on.
@Danzigdawson You do realize America was founded on the idea of having no faith in the goverment and generally begin against democracy in favor a constitutional republic.
So its actually quite unusual and not really a good thing when Americans have faith in either, this isn't how our system is setup nor has it ever been our way.
Canadians like to emphasize those points claiming their history starts with the loyalist but that is the point, We Americans were never the loyalist. Our Ethos is the anti-government rebels from day one. This is why we are horrified by what your despotic Canadian goverment did to your Tuckers at the anti-COVID mandate protest. Yet Canadians seemed largely ok with it at the time.
It is clear reading history your new definition of 'fascist' has nothing to do with he historic one practiced by Mussolini or Adolf hitler both of which depended upon loyalty to a strong centralized state.
The exact opposite of American conservative views, and attitudes towards goverment.
In both cases they took power as a minority using a system that simply doesn't exist in America. Europe and Canada yes, but as I pointed out America is far too vast, decentralized, well armed, and culturally distrusting of Washington.
Especially among the "Republicans", theses are the same conservatives who's extremist go live in the hills to be sovereign citizens, and refuse to cooperate with the goverment at all.
We have never built powerful centralized organizations for this reason. If you look into American history that was always done by the left.
@Danzigdawson I am impressed that you can recognize Rudy Ridge, Wacko as Republican, and forced compliance with centralized control of healthcare as Democrat and think Republicans somehow have more in common with fascist.
Your definition of 'fascism' is the compete opposite of the historic European examples in the 1930's.
Seriously try reading what the Italian fascist and German national socialist actual were doing and building, the kind of ideology required to support that behavior. Maybe European or Canadian conservatism might find that more agreeable but it is antithetical to American Conservative believes.
A fact demonstrated in your own examples!
I mean seriously Your understanding of the concept is hysterically bad!
How exactly did the "Weaver family" Living alone by themselfs in the woods of Idaho at Rudy Ridge pose a threat to anyone? Let alone start major wars and try to organize an a large scale goverment effort to eliminate an entire ethic group?
All they wanted is to live in peace alone in the woods, off the grid when the Feds showed up and murdered Miss Weaver, her son Samuel , and their dog all on the account of a suppose violation of a Federal firearm "law" that shouldn't even exist under the 2nd amendment.
That is what Conservatives got upset over! Why would American Conservative get upset over that if they were pro-big goverment? Why would they object to being forced to buy the same Big Government orders on healthcare if they were pro big goverment like real fascist?
Your understanding of American conservatives is hysterically bad and show a very shallow if not intellectually dishonest view of the subject.
@monorprise Canada's history, from a european point of view, doesn't start with loyalists you anglo-centrist intellectual fraud. Since you're apparently so proud to display your superficial knowledge on almost every subject, aren't you at least aware that New France existed for almost two centuries before england and its American colonies "conquered" (i. e. given away by France) it and allowed its most loyal sycophants to invade its territory as a reward for their cowardice and their brown-nosing during and after the American Revolution?
Jacques Cartier claimed what is now more or less the present territorial bounds of the province of Quebec in the name of France in 1534. Quebec City was founded in 1608. Montreal in 1642, Nouvelle-Orléans in 1718, Saint-Louis, MO in 1764. From the 17th century up to the 1763 treaty of Paris, France laid claim on basically everything that was located between the great lakes and the mouth of the Mississippi river, preventing you self-important idiots, for a number of decades at least, to massacre your way west in the name of god and manifest destiny. Hence the French and Indian war.
Do you ever wonder why there are so many places in the US with french names? Joliet, Des Moines, Louisiana (Louisianne), New Orleans (Nouvelle-Orléans), Baton Rouge, lake Champlain, Vermont (Verts Monts), Ozarks (Aux Arcs), Montpelier, VA (and VT), Saint-Louis, Illinois, Grand Teton (Grand Téton, which means "big tit" in french), Bellevue, Louisville, Coeur D'Alene (Cœur d'Alêne), Portage, Prairie du Chien, La Grange, La Tour, Creve Coeur (Crève-cœur), and so forth...
@monorprise that's all for now but I'll come back later to destroy your other stupid claims.
@monorprise I mean, I've got other things to do.
@monorprise it's "Waco", not "Wacko".
Actually I was already aware of this history and even lived in the area in question @Danzigdawson. I just don't see how its relevant to what I said about Canada being a country who's distinguishing mith is their attachment to the idea of loyalty.
You will note not merely did the loyalist go to settle Canada after the revolution the Quebecker and Nova Scotias refused to join the revolution instead favoring loyalty to their king.(AKA state) This despite the fact that France herself was on the other side.
So i can understand why Canadians would fear a fascist take over as a realistic threat, for Canadians it really is. Although I would suggest that would be harder still for Canada than it is for any European country as a result of Canada's rebel American influence and sheer size and subsequent political diversity.
It is still possible as Canada unlike the united States actually has a real Federal police force. that takes orders from Ottawa and is demonstratively proven willing to do bad things like shut down opposition speech. Indeed as Canada loses the cultural homogeneity that has kept its politics moderate and friendly, Canada will likely also lose democracy.
As one of the ever more different factions uses the vast powers of Canada's central goverment to crush the others, the only thing really stopping them is the threat of secession. And only so long as the faction in power isn't willing to ignore that option.
@monorprise Goddamn, you're way out of your depth here my friend. First of all, the province of Quebec did not join the revolution for three reasons:
1. The french and indian war was pretty fresh in the Canadiens' minds and it was particularly destructive and brutal during the siege of Quebec and afterwards. No one wanted to be dragged into another war that would unfold so close to them so soon.
2. At the time of Arnold's and Montgomery's expedition to Quebec, the war wasn't really going great for the American cause. The defeat at Bunker Hill, and the laughable attempt to capture Quebec were not exactly good omens, at that stage. Nevertheless, they managed to gain some support coming from the Canadiens. They just couldn't expect to capitalize on it.
3. The Canadiens rightfully hated the British, but england had made the smart move of allowing them to continue to live under french laws and to practice roman catholicism freely, which of course angered the americans, but prevented revolt over here. They were guaranteed a somewhat peaceful life of prosperity and they didn't have to fight for it.
4. I don't really like anglo-canadians because they've built the country for themselves and themselves only, enabling an increasingly dictatorial church to rule over us for decades. They prevented us by any means available to them to spread accross Canada as new provinces were created in the west. They used us as cheap labor and servants. They've always displayed an undeserved sense of superiority. They wanted the country for themselves and feared that we could become a much larger majority than they could ever hope to be.
That being said, I sure am glad that my ancestors didn't fight to become americans. Our situation would have been even worst. The only acceptable way in which we should have join the fight would have been to agree right from the start that Canada would become a separate, independant country from the newly formed US.
@monorprise As for slavery, how about not building, in the first place, an economy around lots and lots of people being reduced into slavery in a country which claims, officially, in a very important political document, that "all men are created equal"? An economy that depended solely on the already — from an 18th early 19th century viewpoint— obsolete and despotic practice of slavery. Do you really think that slavery would have just died out eventually and that it would have gone peacefully with no one complaining? Or that, provided that the civil war never happened, people would just have said nothing about it for decades after the 1860's? No one would have died, everyone would have been happy on the plantations; both slaves and plantation owners. Yeah... for sure! How dumb are you?
@monorprise "You do realize America was founded on the idea of having no faith (...)".
America was founded on the idea that a system without representative government working to enforce its citizens' common interests, such as the one which ruled American colonies under king George III, constituted tyranny because people didn't have a voice, didn't take part in important decisions that impacted their daily lives. The very idea that the king's will could be challenged was met with great hostility within the British parliament, which in turn inevitably led to more rebellion and more repression, leading them to reject monarchy altogether in favor of a republic.
The US is a constitutional federal republic which is, by nature —i'm sorry to break it to you— a democratic system by definition.
"So its actually quite unusual and not really a good thing when Americans have faith in either, this isn't how our system is setup nor has it ever been our way."
The founding fathers, by creating the constitution, created a government that, in their minds, would guarantee liberty, representation for the people and, basically, using Old Abe's words: a "government of the people, by the people, for the people". They created a governmental aparatus that they felt they could trust and that is, still today, the core of American politics. Where do you get off, saying baseless stupidities like "this isn't how our system is setup nor has it ever been our way".
@monorprise "Canadians like to emphasize those points claiming their history starts with the loyalist but that is the point, We Americans were never the loyalist. Our Ethos is the anti-government rebels from day one. This is why we are horrified by what your despotic Canadian goverment did to your Tuckers at the anti-COVID mandate protest. Yet Canadians seemed largely ok with it at the time."
Oh my god. Your ethos is and has always been: "a better, more just, form of government". Not fuck the government. And yes, of course the Canadian governement has been highly tyrannical, waiting a whole month before bloodlessly dismantling a convoy of dumbasses that was an absolute nuisance in almost every way possible, right near the parliament in Ottawa. Do you remember how the heroic truckers used their children (which were pulled out of school for the duration, of course) as human shield when the police came to disperse them with an underwhelming amount of force? Tyranny!
"It is clear reading history your new definition of 'fascist' has nothing to do with he historic one practiced by Mussolini or Adolf hitler both of which depended upon loyalty to a strong centralized state.
The exact opposite of American conservative views, and attitudes towards goverment."
Fascism is the fiercest and most unabashed expression of American conservative views. Freedom of the will, survival of fittest, domination of the "strong" over the "weak". Freedom to impose your perceived strenght and your will in order to elevate yourself over others in a very much Stirnerian way. The belief that conservative moral values should be above all in order to get a good functionning society. Fascism is conservatism giving itself absolute freedom of action.
@monorprise " In both cases they took power as a minority using a system that simply doesn't exist in America. Europe and Canada yes, but as I pointed out America is far too vast, decentralized, well armed, and culturally distrusting of Washington. Especially among the "Republicans", theses are the same conservatives who's extremist go live in the hills to be sovereign citizens, and refuse to cooperate with the goverment at all."
They seized power in a way that can and will happen in america, given the right circumstances. Hitler may have made a deal with politicians who were disdainful of the left to grab the power —a weird deal of a coallition government that could not be done in America, indeed— but it doesn't really matter how he got to be at the helm. He could have been elected democratically in a political system similar to the US and it would have been the same result. What he had was an angry population that was inclined to believe in his lies. He had a powerful propaganda machine which enabled him to declare a state of emergency because of communists, allowing him to progressively destroy Germany's democratic system and give himself absolute authority. Many germans at the time were ok with that because they believed that the left and the jews were destroying the country. They believed that allowing "strongman" Hitler to strike hard at the country's scapegoats and perceived ennemies was a good way to make germany great again.
@monorprise "We have never built powerful centralized organizations for this reason. If you look into American history that was always done by the left."
The US army was built by the left? The FBI? The CIA? The government set up by the founding fathers in which both centralization and decentralization coexist is a product of commies? A government is always somewhat centralized and even when it's not absolutely centralized in one way, it is in many others. Absolute decentralization and an insignificant, less powerful government is a naive fairytale in which conservatives believe. They think they'll have pure uncut freedom if they're subject to less government restrictions, but when a vaccuum of political power forms, it is always filled, sooner or later... and not by the people you'd want to see control your life.
@Danzigdawson Quebecker independence was on the table, as union between the colonies at that point certainly was not a forgone conclusion.
There were countless points where Quebec would have been able to step out, from the victory conditions they could have arranged to return to France.
To refusal to join the articles of confederation, to refusal to radifiy the Constitution of 1787, to exercising their right to withdraw in most of the years thereafter.
Although Quebec would have found a Francophone ally in Louisiana by making the union multilingual from the beginning they would have together remained french.
Realistically they might also have together agreed that language really isn't that important, as Louisiana eventually did. Either way I don't see it working out the same as it did with the other loyalist.
@Danzigdawson There was slavery in Canada too up until the 1790s having been a think in European run Canada since 1671, Longer under native run Canada both before and after.
It started coming to an end in the northern States not long after.
This is mostly due to the nature of the economies in the north being better able to abandon the slaves.
Then the more acquiring (due to heat and disease) economies of the more southern States.
@Danzigdawson "The US is a constitutional federal republic which is, by nature —i'm sorry to break it to you— a democratic system by definition. "
Indeed I understand there are very few systems of goverment that do not meet your excessively broad new definition of "democracy". That includes communist china and Russia as well, as Venezuela. They too after all have elections too also limited by who can partake and what effect they might have.
I prefer a more meaningfully narrow definition of democracy, and alternate actually more meaningfully specific definitions of political systems
@Danzigdawson I simply restate my observation that your understanding of Fascism is divorced from history even more than your shortsighted understanding of American history. Which at least tells some parts of the story.
Regardless I have pointed out to you the logical inconsistency with the ideology of American Conservatives being incapable of the organizational and motivational requirements to carry out much less justify what the German national socialist did.
@Danzigdawson The U. S. army is in the Federal Constitution, although the standing element of that army is suppose to be rebuild after every war.
Given the current army is a legacy of World war 2 having never been demobilized as they were after every prior war, technically it was build by the left.
FBI, and CIA were quite explicitly created by the progressive left the first by the progressive Roosevelt, although weaponized as a spying agency. The CIA was created by trueman
I hate to break it to you but if Trump wins and the GOP sweeps Congress it might be the last election you ever vote in...
He said so himself... more than once.
Fear mongering...
@DrPepper12
If you believe that you clearly unaware Trump was already president, and you know nothing about the constitution and the fact that States run all elections Not the federal Government.
Congress does not have the power to stop having elections.
@monorprise your presuming that they will follow the constitution. Thats the problem. A culty pliant Congress will allow him to do it. Perhaps you need a refresher read of P25
Harris and Trump may be saying the same thing, but what/who they represent is very different.
Trump represents America First, American Patriots, Christians, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Closed Borders, and Law and Order.
Harris represents Globalism, Marxism/Socialism, the Deep State, Bigotry, Racism, Religious Persecution, Endless Wars, Moral Decay, Anarchy, and a Totalitarian Police State.
Answer me this: Give one example where a Marxist/Socialist revolution didn't result in millions of people being executed, misery, suffering, loss of freedom, loss of economic freedom, a lower quality of living, and a police state?
If what you said were true, seems like Trump would have done that in his first term. It was absolute chaos and drama every day and just got worse and worse leading up to the horrible attempted coup he led on Jan. 6, 2021. All totally not up to American standards. Now Trump is a convicted fraudster and rapist. That is the best Republicans can do for Americans?
You're correct. That is the best they have and it's ridiculous how weak the Republicans have become to let Trump be the guy.
Kamala & DEMS ARE NOT all those isms. Ik sean hannity told you that but its not true and i doubt you could tell the figfetence between the two.
The DEMS ARE a centre-right party by any valid international comparison so tbh, you're just wrong!
I think the Asker needs to change the channel she is watching, if that is all they were showing of the first Trump Presidency
I think both are right; probably not because of the reasons they accuse the other side of... but we are all, Democratic or Republic, American or European, Left- or Right-Wing etc... Royally Fucked.
Seems world history always said we are in a bad state
Throughout history one can always find one crisis after another... Though I do firmly believe that after the horrors of World War 2, despite 'Communism' and the Cold War, we have been doing well for a while but are now heading towards really difficult times again.
Well, Harris is saying it because Trump openly claimed he will be a dictator and proved he means it once already by trying to start a civil war on live television.
Whereas Trump is saying it to help the media push a bothsides narrative.

They want to put in a person back in office who made COVID DEATHS HIGHER

who thought Putin would give him the released actual "HOSTAGES" Give me a fucking break. If you put that assclown back in officer WE ARE DOOMED
It's sad that people can't tell which one is lying.
The fact that Trump was already president @goaded and demonstrated his willingness to leave peacefully unlike Harris's Biden administration. Kind of proves if there is a threat to the end of democracy with either of them its not Trump.
Although it might be the with the administration weaponizing the goverment to spy on and persecute their only realistic political enemies in a unprecedented way.
@monorprise Leaving peacefully... but not before lying profusely about the election being a fraud (something that is still part of his rhetoric) and getting riled up supporters to "fight like hell" on Jan. 6 2021, because if they didn't, they would not "have a country anymore".
Also, in September 2020, he was already declaring the then-upcoming election to be a fraud (because he was trailing Biden in the polls) and that he would not necessarily commit to a peaceful transition if he lost. And he didn't exactly. It only was on January 7 2021, and only after being pressured over and over again by basically everyone orbiting around him, in the aftermath of the failed insurrection, that he finally publicly declared that there would indeed be a peaceful transition of power.
How exactly does Biden and Harris show themselves to be unwilling to leave peacefully, provided that Harris loses the election?
It’s typical politics. Just like how in business everyone says they ha e the number 1 product on the market. However in politics you just got watch what they do not what they say, and if they lie more then they do… well you already know.
Yes but when Trump says it we know it's true. Look at what we're living through right now.
"Oh gee, if we open the border, bad people come in. Who knew? Maybe we shouldn't have done that." The President of the United States, June 2024
You have to be absolutely retarded or like the idea of this country destroyed if voting for camel toe
It’s amazing that Kamala got the nomination without a single vote.
America has been going backwards since at least the last decade. Race relations went to shit again because the mainstream media decided to use the word "racism" a lot more often and got everyone riled up.
It's not sad at all it's the reality. They want you to believe they're two very different candidates but they're not.
We have been doomed since 2020. Lets hope trump wins. The left are cabal and evil
America is doomed no matter who wins. but fortunately it's a slow decline.
I my opinion the left are the ones that wa t the US to regress. The say it's progress but it's progress into an economy that has proven to be regressive and a government that take power away from the people which is also regressive.
Hyperbole is standard protocol for political commentary.
This could be the only time in history when both candidates speak the truth. 🙊🙉🙈
Harris and Biden are dooming the country with their inflationary economics policies. We can see it with our own eyes. They are the Downward trend in America for the past several decades.
They both are whore. We are entire world is doomed
It’s sad politics has gotten to this level. I’d rather they talk about their policies and how to make the country a better place to live
Ones lying, its up to you to figure out which. If you can't, stay home.
This is what they all say in every election ever. Don’t worry too much.
Politicians always say this it's just your first time living through it.
one side is fear mongering and the other one is telling the truth. you'd know who's who if you payed attention to what one has already done.
They both know it's over
One side would destroy the place and the other will commit domestic genocide then sell what's left to the Chinese
What the hell does "go backwards" mean in this context?
No because, only Trump is telling the truth.
Sad. You are not being truthful here.
Yes, I am!! What's Kamel Hairs done to make our lives better? NOTHING! NOT A FUCKING THING!!!
In the meantime, Trump's done al kinds of fantastically great stuff and WILL CONTINUE TO when he gets back in!!
@BTigers96 Is that your mommy I hear calling you? Look out!! She's gonna catch you wearing your sisters underwear, again!!
@FunkyMonkee I was agreeing with you dude. I was responding to "Asker". Calm yourself down👇. 😆
@BTigers96 I see. Sorry. It didn't say.
You are young. It is like that every presidential election.
They are both right.
That's what all candidates always says
Yeah it's pretty much a shit show.
Trump is right.
They are both idiots
They may be right sadly.
We are doomed if Trump wins
I'm voting for Trump.
Political arguments go brrrrrr
Welcome to politics
