I think Trump is working hard doing several campaign stops a day. He seems to be sticking to the issues. Harris has not made many appearances. She has done a few media appearances with sympathetic hosts. The exception was today's appearance on Fox with Brett Beir. She gave evasive answers to his questions and continually talked over him. She has shown that she has no concrete plan. Her solution to "fix the border" is ti hire more judges to process the illegal aliens and give them citizenship. She said nothing about deprtations.

More judges means more people are found to not be eligible to stay, so they'll be deported. If they are eligible, then they won't be deported, but that's the case now. More people, ineligible people, will be deported if there are more judges to hear their cases. It's not complicated.

In Massachusetts the secretary of state comes on TV telling everyone that to register to vote all you need is a drivers license. They voted to give illegal aliens drivers licenses. There is no way to determine who is a citizen and who is not by looking at the drivers licenses and there is nobody there that will check citizenship. So connect the dots.

Sure. Abbott claimed 100,000 in 2019, then 6,500, then the number dwindled to 581, then it turned out that one in eight of those people who reporters attempted to contact were definitely US citizens (the article doesn't say how many weren't contactable). Many of those people were added to the rolls by a clerical error, even though they'd ticked the non-citizen box.

@goaded we are not talking about 2019. We are talking now. They found thousands while clearing the voter rolls. Virginia recently found some as well.

Governor Abbott was lying in 2019, and he's lying now. They say there were 581 potential illegal immigrants on the rolls, in a state of 30 million, many of them are actually citizens, many of the rest wouldn't have considered voting. For comparison, there are three or four times as many murders in Texas each year as there are potential immigrant voters.

I can't be bothered looking up how few there are in Virginia, why don't you tell me?

So the DoJ should do nothing when Virginia breaks the National Voter Registration Act of 1993? When genuine, eligible voters are thrown off the voter rolls within 90 days of an election? Last time Virginia did this, 25% of the people they threw off were citizens.

It's all to get people like you to keep casting doubt on elections.

There are two reasons for the bill: to let Republicans pretend Democrats are OK with non-citizens voting, they're not, it's already illegal, and to make it harder for some eligible people to vote (like women who failed to officially change their name when they got married).

Your terminology sums it up perfectly "It makes them look like...", it's all about the optics, not the reality.

Just because you haven't seen news about them doesn't mean they don't exist. Every time you reduce the options for proving your identity, some people will find it harder to vote. Obviously.

Real election fraud is perpetrated by Republicans: Alabama just this week got stopped from illegally removing 2000 citizens from its voting rolls in the 90 days before an election.

I wouldn't be surprised. Both know that campaigning at this point doesn't mean much; the only people who aren't decided one way or the other are the ones who don't vote.
