Case in point the number one thing she’s running on, is abortion. Without actively talking about all of our domestic issues.
Which I will add, despite me being pro choice (because I understand the importance of individual rights) I’ve noticed that women overwhelmingly don’t care about politics compared to men. But the second abortion rights are at stake? OH MAN!! Do women all of a sudden care about politics.
This is troubling… because this one issue could literally result in us being in the situation we’re in. We could have a dogshit economy, wide open border, rampant crime… but as long as we have abortions available to women… that’s what matters huh? Crazy

💯 spot on. Not all women of course but a horrifying high percentage of them are so insanely ignorant of the laws of gravity (inflation, economy, etc.) They don’t care because they many of them are always looking to be “taken care of” by somebody. That used to be their families and the men they marry. Now they look to the government as their paternal caretaker. Many of them are literally adult children considering how emotionally impressionable they are to leftist propaganda.
I would of thought the gross incompetence of the Biden administration would of woken some people up. It did but to a limited extent. It’s scary how many people naively (majority women) believe that the government “will save them” when it comes to financial durress that was heavily the fault of the government in the first place.

I’m really glad that Trump is FINALLY doing what the Republicans have failed to realize time and time again. The reason why republicans don’t win, is because they are so clinged onto the concept of pro life. It without a doubt is a losing strategy.
Side note. Serving in the military has shown me how much the government truly gives a flying fuck about the American people. You’d think the government would literally put military on a pedestal, fuck no. We’re legit pawns in their financial schemes.

But it’s the stupid people out there who are GIVING UP freedom in exchange for some sort of warped idea of “utopia” that scares me. You would think it would be all stupid young brainwashed college kids and recent college grads. But it’s not. I keep on meeting grown ass adults including grown ass men in their 50s and older who have Trump Derangement Syndrome. THAT bothers me. Really bothers me. It’s almost like they believe that displaying TDS “keeps them young and hip”.
Experienced adults usually had several difficult life experiences where they understand that LOGIC prevails. It’s about doing the right thing even though it isn’t popular or easy. But older people supporting Kamala are beyond all hope. They should know better but they don’t.
I used to be a democrat. Matter of fact I voted for Obama both times. It wasn’t until I joined the military which is around the time Trump got in office, when I noticed something was terribly wrong with the democratic party.
It’s representatives would always speak on behalf of the people YET, their actions/policies didn’t line up with their words.
But this is why I’m pro choice, because like Trump said. We must acknowledge the exceptions. Because yes, unfortunately we do live in a fucked up world where rape and incest is real.
We shouldn’t force women to give birth to a child that was a product of either of those two factors. That’s not only common sense, but reasonable.
They say it’s a “complex issue” it’s only complex if you tackle the issue with a bias instead of using common sense

I think the government would make it worse, not better. All hero worship of Trump aside, his biggest accomplishments in office were marginally shrinking some bureaucracies, which did increase quality of life for many Americans.
Besides that I'd trust a heroin addict to spend money more responsibly than the government, much less handle my quality of life.
The problem that exists today began during the Reagan Administration.
Prior to that, tax rates on the wealthy were sufficiently high and unions had sufficient respect that the wealth/income gap was not large and neither was the national debt.
However, after Reagan came to power and Paul Volcker's slaughtering of inflation occurred, the initial recession during that period would end around the middle of Reagan's first term for two reasons: 1) inflation did end; Volcker was right all along and 2) Reagan spent like a terminally ill, drunken, Democrat sailor primarily on defense and on tax-cuts for the wealthy due to the mistaken theory of "trickle-down economics".
So, the economy began to get good and many were doing OK, but the seeds of today were planted.
For one thing, the personal computer revolution began. This would change productivity. Well, we don't live in an idealistic world so the gains in productivity didn't "trickle down" to the workers. It either cost them their jobs or the increased profits went to the wealthy. This was the beginning of the wealth/income gap that exists today and is ever worse.
This has nothing to do with socialism and everything to do with either capitalism or human nature.

I don't mind people becoming billionaires from capitalism because that means they are giving the public superior products at lower prices. However, most very wealthy didn't acquire their money with capitalism. They obtained it unfairly with the aid of the government. The government they paid for with laws passed by a Congress that was bribed with money.

@blueonblack22 We didn't have "hyperinflation". We had inflation. And, yes, it was called "stagflation" then and it was a problem from pretty much most of the 1970s. It came to an end because of the efforts of Paul Volkcer who Carter appointed to be the head of the Federal Reserve. Carter realized that he'd commit political suicide by appointing Volcker, but Volcker had the cojones to do what was necessary to slaughter inflation. And he did by raising interest rates significantly. This caused a recession but inflation ended. The economy was then stimulated by a large tax cut for the wealthy and enormous deficit spending on defense.

But you also have to realize why things are the way they are and, often, with economics, that's outside the control of an administration to a significant extent. For instance, when I brought up Volcker, he was appointed, but The Fed is independent of politics. They control monetary policy. This is why inflation is down now; the Fed acted to raise interest rates to nip inflation. The inflation today and throughout the Biden Administration is nothing compared to 45 years ago. Presidents and Congress have influence on spending and taxation which are the other economic control mechanisms.
Everything is a double-edged sword though. For instance, when we had enormous defense spending during the Reagan Era that helped end the Cold War. That spending was to the Cold War what Volcker's actions were to the high inflation of at that time. The price for Volcker's actions were a recession. The price for Reagan's actions were huge national debt and... well, we are still paying in various ways.
The inflation we have now is due to recovery... recovery from COVID. But it is also due to spending actions from the Biden Administration as part of stimulating that recovery.
More double-edged swords... We could go back to Trump and COVID with cheaper gas and tiny inflation, but we might not have jobs...
So, keep that in mind: the economy is more than just you and me; it's everyone. You hate paying more - I do too - but we have jobs... and more people are employed now. Unemployment was about 15% as the Trump Administration was ending because of COVID. That's the most in our lifetime.

Personally I am terrified how Kamala’s economic policy (if it even exists). She keeps on talking about tax payer funded entitlement programs but that requires stifling economic growth by punishing corporations with onerous tax rates. And if the money isn’t there then the government will just print out more money which devalues the US dollar and further drives up inflation.

The whole “evil” corporation approach is tried and true long time leftist myth. A corporation isn’t a sentient person but rather a legal file of papers. When you tax a corporation they have to find other ways to remain profitable. This includes passing costs on to consumers, laying off workers, stifling raises, using automation and cheap overseas labor.
And I am not naive to the “greed” factor. My company got bought out by a greedy venture capitalist group which I abhor. But pushing up corporate taxes is NOT going to solve the problem I am dealing with. It will also hurt the other businesses that we service, drastically reduce revenues and profitability.
A bankrupt business produces ZERO tax revenue for the government.
Can you tell me what bills Americans cannot pay? Like is it for Heating gas? Water, and electricity?
Because US can Easily spend 300 Billion USD and virtually go solar by adding around 1 million Mega Watts of installed capacity to remove recurring cost of Coal and Oil plants in day time. That 1 million Megawatt is actually 90% Installed capacity of US. China's manufacturing capacity is around 6 hundred thousand MW and only half of it is currently being used. So a 3 year project can remove Coal and Oil and natural gas from 46% to just 10-12% easily.
In my country Pakistan people added 13000 MW of solar energy in a single year by installing roof top solar panels in a single year cost just 3 Billion US. And saved grid electricity consumption by 20% alone. The result of high energy cost, zero subsidies only zero tariff on solar energy and resilience of the people 😁. And this is 13 times the solar installed in the previous year.
So, perhaps instead of paying for Foreign wars, US can usher in a era of unprecedented prosperity. The oil, coal and gas producers and workers wouldn't go unemployed by this and the reason is US can export more of those in the international market saving even more foreign exchange.

I think that all these people who cannot pay their bills are outraged at the indifference and incompetence of the Biden/ Harris administration. Inflation is the worst in over 40 year and taxes continue to rise. They want to go back to the good old days of 2020. Even though we were in the middle of a pandemic, at least we had an administration that does not put equity over competence.
