The Republican from Georgia claimed last week that “they” can control the weather after Hurricane Helene killed more than two dozen people in her state and more than 230 across the US. While she did not clarify who “they” was at the time, Joe Biden said the idea the federal government controlled the weather was “beyond ridiculous”.

“Yes they can control the weather,” she wrote on X last week. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

Anyone who entertains this conspiracy are sick people in my opinion and result in harming actual people on the ground helping out the victims. i have snuffed out anyone peddling such nonsense and will not tolerate it on any of my posts. misinformation has run rampant in our country and i will delete your answer and highly consider blocking you if you willingly spread it. that is all.

It would be one thing if they put some faith in the press who are supposed to keep a close eye on elected officials. But conservatives beat down the press even more. Did they forget ronald reagan applied the "fairness doctrine?"

Speculation is a good thing but it can't be the only thing. You need some kind of substance behind it.

Even the most advanced regular computer, and soon with quantum computers can't even model the dynamics of global weather enough to perfectly predict it let alone control it. Atmospheric weather just has too many variables. Will local weather come under some tiny nudging beyond cloud seeding someday far in the future? Maybe but I sincerely doubt it.

I think the government isn't even real. I think the robots took over a long time ago & they're pulling humans strings like we're puppets. Ever heard of Chemtrails? Some believe and some don’t. It is said to be believed by some that small planes filled with chemicals go way up into the atmosphere to dump those chemicals to create rain clouds. Resulting in somewhat of a control of the weather. Perhaps “they” can do that but to control the other aspects of weather such as wind, heat, cold then perhaps no. To help make the atmosphere rain then maybe.

Not really. The only time I can recall this being a thing was earlier this year when the UAE pumped water into their cloud to create rain and they ended up with flash flood. It’s called cloud seeding.
