That's a strawman version of those arguments. They don't believe humans have enough of an impact on the climate for it to be an issue and simultaneously often believe that CO2 is not the global warming factor or that global warming is not a thing to begin with. That's all climate related, could we effect the climate on purpose if we really want to? Sure. Always ways to poison the earth and cause such a thing if destruction was a desirable goal.

Meanwhile weather modification does exist, anyone claiming it does not is false and does not know what they are talking about. That's weather though, not climate modification. Weather control is not the same thing as climate control. The bigger question is if tech is strong enough to actually cause hurricanes or impact hurricanes, and if so which players in the world have it. Since the weather control techniques I know for certain are real could cause flooding but probably not hurricanes.

So to try and rebuttal people researching these matters the silly dunk on them meme isn't sufficient because you are conflicting weather and climate and simultaneously don't take the arguments in the correct context.

Everything we do has an effect... physics supports that. But is it outweighed by other factors? Solar flares and axis shifting, etc. Climate been changing long time. Seems a complex science... not all of science agrees.

Should we make changes... yes. But is going "green"... e. g. burning coal to make electric cars... reallly the answer? Sounds like a major cop out if they really believed it.

But if they disagree right now, they lose their jobs.
