No hurricanes so far. I guess when Republicans take over House and Senate , hurricanes will attack the US.

Global warming doesn't cause hurricanes, it just increases their strength and frequency. As the differences in temperature above land and above water gets more extreme, leading to stronger winds. It also enables the air to hold more moisture, which leads to more rain.

And whenever discussing climate you can't pick one year, you have to compare timespans of 30 years. eg the years 1992-2022 with the years 1962-1992.
