Is there any hope at all to depolarize the United States politically?

Don’t take this an opportunity to demonize the other political side on this. That’s my usual reaction too but it’s not going to answer the question.

I really hate to say this but I now believe that the only way Americans will ever unite politically again will have to be over a calamity (e. g. the 9/11 terrorist attack) or a war where we are first attacked on our own soil.

Obviously I don’t want that to happen. But I can’t believe how many people are not “waking up” given all the insanity (that hurts most Americans) with hyperinflation, the illegal migrant crisis, horrifying fentanyl OD rates, etc just aren’t getting through to many people.

I admit that above statement alluded to my political standing. But these are issues that impact everybody. But so many people still don’t want to find common ground over it.

You're correct that left and right are totally polarized in a way that we haven't seen since the Civil War. The left wants total control, and the right will never let the left govern them.

The battle isn't political, it's spiritual. We're watching a spiritual war between darkness and light playout all across our country, and the world for that matter. From open borders, endless wars, failing institutions, corruption, rampant drug abuse, immorality, falling marriages, low both rates, transgenderism, narcissism, cancel culture, mass psychosis, overmedication, totalitarianism, etc... the list goes on.

If any sort of a kinetic war ever breaks out in the U. S. the side with the guns will win, but it would come at an unimaginably high cost. Nobody wants that, at least the sane people don't. But, the right will never allow themselves to be ruled by the left because they think they are completely insane and demonic. If/when the government moves toward wealth confiscation, property confiscation, imprisonment, etc... the gloves come off. If that happens... you can't imagine.

The upcoming Presidential election is going to determine how bad things will be in the immediate future. If Kamala wins the economy/dollar, etc... will inevitably collapse and the country will descend into social disorder and chaos. If Trump wins their will be widespread chaos and disorder, but the country will be held together for 4 more years and the economy likely won't collapse.

This isn't a political war or struggle. The politicians created the mess we're in, so you can bet they won't be fixing it. It benefits them, their friends, and their families. The fix will need to be spiritual, and by that I mean the hearts and minds of the American people will need to change.

Don't be pretentious. You care less than Trump about what people go through. Also, 9/11 didn't unite shit, it gave a green flag to demonise Muslims and minorities for no good cause.

Inflation is the product of bad business, not bad government. There is no "migrant crisis". The crisis is not having enough courts and lawyers to deal with the cases quick enough.

Also, no one is dropping fentanyl from the sky and into people mouths. Addicts are making the conscious decision to take stronger and cheaper drugs. This is mainly due to bad policing. The police are looking for "quick wins" in grabbing kids for a gram of weed, instead of pharma drug barons pushing fentanyl.

Hence it is misinformed dimwits like you doing the "dividing" - not the government.

There is a large portion of the US population that feels disrespected by the weathy coastalites. They have suffered economically over the past 50 years with the decline of US manufacturing due to globalization and automation. They are angry and fearful but are uncorrectly placing the blame on marginalized out groups.

Political polarization will never go away. It's what keeps the room spinning, which is what the higher powers want and need. They want people to believe that parties and voting actually matter and make a difference so that we can't see what is really happening that would make most people utterly sick.

The Left and Right need to divorce. Complicated but worth it. Lefties should leave and Righties emigrate to the Bible Belt and to the West to the east of the Rockies. Lefties would outnumber Righties but it will no longer be an election issue. The transition would take about 5 years and mostly free of violence and bloodletting. We definitely need a Two State Solution.
