It's doubtful we get back together. That ship has sailed. The American left is insane and has been taken over by Marxists. They're doing what Marxists do. Destroying history, culture, education, freedom, liberty, economic prosperity, etc... First they come for your liberty, then property, and finally your life. It's always the same with Marxists.

We're currently experiencing a cultural civil war. Could it somehow turn kinetic? Yes, but hopefully not. In 2024 the left has neither the people nor guns to pull it off (even with the military).

The thing the left doesn't understand is this. The average Patriotic American, and/or Christian will never let a bunch of insane, psychotic liars and misfits rule over or subjugate them. If push comes to shove they'd rather die on their feet fighting for their God given rights and freedoms than surrender on their knees. The left would likely not survive a kinetic Civil war, and that's precisely why they haven't attempted to physically disarm Americans by the way. The 2nd Amendment has forced them to be patient, which is hopefully allowing Americans time to finally wake up and figure out what's happening. If they could have disarmed us by now they would have.

The only way we make it is through this is by some kind of divine intervention. I don't think there are any man-made solutions to our current problems.

My political allegiance is mostly to commonsense across the West. I view the theocracy of the Left as dangerous. There is an increasing attitude from them that only government from the Left is valid (that is not just in the US). That can only be rejected.

Fortunately in my country, our Left wing Prime Minister was punched in the face with a 60% commonsense NO vote to his referendum this time last year. They will still need a bloody good kicking at next general election - it is the only thing the Left understands. Their best outcome is to become a minority gov't.

Last election Biden clearly won, but Trump kept making up lies that he won. He encouraged the mob to attack the Capitol where there were righteous people inside doing their jobs, VP Pence among them. Trump wanted to go to the site of the conflict but his protection detail refused and returned him to the White House. His advisors tried to get him to tell the crowd to go home but he refused. When they told him the crowd had a gallows and was threatening to hang Pence, Trump said let them and Pence had to flee for his life. For Pence it was a case of Country over party, and Trump wanted him dead for that.

Trump has upped the ante with his rhetoric and will again deny losing (if he does) and will start the conflict. If he does win, he will, according to his own speeches, declare himself dictator and will not allow more elections. So win or lose, Trump will try to subjugate the left. This time, the left will become powerful enough to protect itself and there is a good chance for civil war, with a lot of damage on both sides.

Trump has made it clear that he hates many of the military leaders and he would use his power to overcome anybody he does not like. Going up against the military leaders and the men who support our Constitution will surely lead to war.

I think a lot of this is just overblown hysteria in the lead up to the US elections. Here's my take on what will happen:

1) it won't be a close election

2) there will be some noise and nonsense immediately after

3) within a week it will be back to business-as-usual and we'll all go back to focusing whatever random shit we focused on before.

The Left is not going to subjugate the right. We don't do things like that because we believe in democracy and fairness and decency for the most part. We will attempt to govern fairly and equitably assuming that The right doesn't engage in more terrorism.

I think even the right will ultimately be glad to not have a mentally ill criminal in charge of running our country and in charge of the armed forces and in charge of nuclear weapons. This assumes that even people on the right are not suicidal.
