What would you tell someone who is new to social media about the problems that can come from posting too much on social media? The bad part of posting too much of your life on social media and how it can backfire on you. Actual examples. Not just the scientificly proven draw backs.

Real situations examples like people will always be judging you or how you shouldn't give all ideas you have because someone will always have bad things to say about them, etc...

I’d mostly just give them the rundown of internet safety: don’t tell anyone your real name/number/address, anyone who asks for it is not to be trusted, a lot of things are made to make you give an emotional response for attention so be mindful of what you consume and you are directly responsible for curating your online experience.

I'd encourage them to have a false birthdate and year , I'd encourage them to lock profiles where possible , I'd say keep information generic , I know if I was starting again I'd be much more cautious with info , I'd also say under no circumstance use Tik Tok , extremely dangerous and should not be taken lightly.

Treat most social media as you may use Linkedin , a little more conservative , keep things general.
