Is it just me or are Liberal Europeans nicer than Conservative ones?

In the U. S. it tends to be the opposite. But in Europe, I once complained online about how rude the Danes in Copenhagen were and someone commented, "The Danes that are friendly are usually Liberals."

I noticed this in Italy too. Rome is Conservative and the people were assholes, but Venice and Pisa are Liberal and the people were much friendlier.

And on the Cayman Islands there was this British guy running a museum, he was a Labour party supporter and anti-Brexit and he gave us a free ride to our next destination.

The Eastern European nationalities on the other hand are very Conservative and have a reputation for being assholish. Most of the Russians, Ukrainians and Romanians I've met were assholes. Slovak and Balkan customer service was also very unpleasant.

I think the difference between Europe and the US is that a lot of the Conservatives in Europe are nationalists and hate foreigners, while the Liberal Europeans are more open to foreigners.

Though there are exceptions of course. But from my experiences, as long as you don't question or disagree with their politics, Liberal Europeans do tend to be friendlier towards foreigners.

It's true, I mean the whole point of conservative European is to hate everything that is not their own ethnicity (so even others European are hated and told to go back to their countries). Because here there's no White vs POC but one country ethnicity versus the worlds.

Libéral here love everyone so long as they're not conservative though they never really get rude. They just use mostly joke.

Not all hate other European also I grew up mainly watching documentaries, American movies / comics / tv show / cartoons and Japanese anime so I"m not an average conservative, most French conservative are just 100 % French like only eat French, only speak French only dress in French fashion, only watch French movies etc... They're very chauvinistic which I'm not I'm extremely open to the worlds compared to conservative in my country (I dress so weird compared to others French people that I literally had French people trying to speak to me in English cause they thoughts i was a foreigner XD)

Here I usually go along with both liberal and conservative though conservative is a lot harder to go along with because they're pretty extreme here for example if you get bullied they would just say that it's your own fault, my father literally screamed at me during 4 hours cause he said it was my fault I was getting bullied by older kids I didn't even knew cause it was impossible they bullied me for no reasons he screamed at me during 4 hours "What did you do people don't harass people for no reasons" and I literally did nothing except wore a bear pullover when I was 10 and got harassed for it cause they said it was only baby that wore bear and mocked my sweater as a "grandma sweater" cause the fashion was to only wear adidas track jacket in minus 24 degree...

the things with conservative is if you do not fit 100 % of their criteria they're tearing you appart and somewhow it's always your fault and never their for some reasons... So some are nice but some are extremely rude

Me too. I watch a lot of documentaries, foreign films and music, so I consider myself more open minded and more of a moderate conservative. I got into an argument on here because a girl said she won't listen to non-English music and I told her she's closed minded.

A lot of Polish people are extremely nationalistic, and I used to get into arguments with them online and either my family even.

I remember when me and my uncle were visiting a castle in Poland. We were speaking Polish but were dressed differently and I heard some kid say, "Those are Poles?"😂
And once some Swiss guy thought I was Swiss. I had an India Jones hat a flannel shirt😂
I went to a Corpus Christi procession in Poland, my mom's neighbor never met me, but knew who I was because of how I was dressed😂
In the US no one really cares what you wear. Even if they do, they won't say anything. But I remember when my friend in college who was from the city showed up dressed like a farmer one time because he wanted to fit in😂

He sounds awful! My mom wasn't THAT bad, but I would complain about my co-workers and once she told me maybe I'M the problem, because I can't get along with anyone.

It's so weird I don't get why some people are like that it doesn't make sene at all, the worst in France are not even the conservative but those obsess with their region, they don't even consider themselves as French but only care about their region (Catalan, Basque, Breton, Corse) those are literally the worst of all some Occitan too are annoying but those four are the worst of the worst they're only love their region and for them the rest are shit or don't exist, they're insufferable and not open to anything else other than their region.

It's so crazy because in France Polish people dislike their Polish roots it's so weird to see how different they're outside of France, like in France you only know someone if Polish by their family name because if not they're full French but it seem lots of Slav have quite a weird nationalist sentiment like they're obsessed with being Slav men or women they keep on bringing it all the time (which is ironic as Slav literally come from Slave from the Arabs slavery, I always found it weird they were proud of this terms while it literally mean slave).

Those are the extreme one from the countryside they're insufferable, I can't support them XD
conservative from the city are ok but the one from the countryside are mostly horrible, not open at all, I mean if you like sushi they would just it's gross Chinese food XD

In France people don't care either what you wear so long as is it not too short, like weird styles are usually ok but if you begin to wear shorts skirt / dress or crop top then is it not ok anymore or if you wear a colored floral dress in winter with a orange jacket they all look at you like you're crazy XD

I didn't complain about it was during middle school and it was a girl from my class that asked if I wanted her to talk to the teachers about the bullying problem I had and I said yes (after it completely stopped so it was good) but yea I had a though night, i literally cried during 4 hours up until my mom said it was time to eat. No need to say that I went directly to bed when I was told this night XD

yes, it depend on the person mostly but for liberal usually so long as it's women then they're going to be very nice, it's crazy how liberal women in France tends to be very nice in general (expect the one with the weird fashion looking like men ) but liberal women looking like women are very nice in general and would never start a fight here. Unlike in America where liberal women seem pretty angry and love ghosting

My dad said it was kind of like that in Poland too. Maybe not so much anymore, but he said Silesians which is where he's from where like that. But even today they aren't very well liked, because they have their own dialect and culture.

Polish people outside of Poland are generally different than Poles in Poland. They speak Polish, but they feel closer to their home country (maybe not all of them). And they don't like each other. Especially the Poles in Poland are jealous of Poles abroad and the Poles abroad don't like certain Polish customs.

So many of them don't like other Slavs either though. But yeah, Hitler didn't even consider us White😂

Yeah, it's the same here too. The ones in the country represent all the bad stereotypes you hear about Conservatives. There were people at my work who would always scold me over anything to do with the flag.

There was one guy on here who said that any place that isn't Conservative America is a shithole.

There were some that came to my campground that were dressed in dress clothes.
And when I was in Death Valley I saw a family and had a feeling they were French and they WERE😂 The girl had a large purse and flip flops with socks and the guy was dressed like a gay guy. No offense. Somehow I knew they were French😂 The girl with flip flops and socks looked kind of cute though XD

Yeah, in a lot of European countries people dress for the season not for the weather.

I never really talked to my mom about my bullying. I didn't wanna worry her. I never talked to any teachers either. Snitching would make things even worse.

If you mean progressive left wing people, who don't mind going with the flow, definitely I'd say some people are nicer than others such as those who are cheerful and calm about riding the waves of change 🌊
