Is sociopathy similar to autism?

Just like autism has levels from mild to severe, I'm sure sociopathy works the same. There is severe autism that impairs the individual from performing daily task, moderate austim where the person can perform some activities there is Asperger Syndrome (aka mild autism) where they can still go to college, have a higher IQ score, carry a long conversation and get married.

So sociopathy has levels too right? there is the extreme level where start with animal cruelty at a early ages and grow up to be criminal. Then there is someone that might lack empathy and guilt but never harm animals nor committed any crimes; they're just indifferent towards people but love their pets; a milder version.

So several of the individuals that are found within the spectrum or either autism or sociopathy are likely a milder version and not on the extreme. Fewer would be on the extreme.

No I think they're completely different in so many different ways there are a lot of the same traits but autism in some different ways they're like a genius maybe if they are full-blown autism there's a lot more traits to it but I'm not really for sure I think autism people are kinder nicer and More in touch

I don't know. . I can read people pretty well and it's just amazing to me to watch somebody with autism or Asperger's watch the way that they interact and watch the way that their mind works it's it's just a trip I wish I understood it more

Autistics are born, sociopaths are made.

Autistics may have issues with empathy or understanding, sociopaths have issues understanding social norms and have no empathy.

Autistics can have a generally higher IQ, sociopaths in average have lower IQ.

Autistics are on a spectrum and have differing capacities for different things. Sociopaths only vary in how they express lying and violence and to whom.

... most things are a spectrum so this comparison is totally unnecessary, but autism and sociopathy I don't believe have the same kind of spectrum anyway so it would also be inaccurate comparison.

Autism is more like a wheel where any trait can be extreme or mild by itself. All or none can be, but more often it's a mix than all the same "level". I don't believe sociopathy is that way.

No. Both are different conditions.

I get they're different conditions. Though both have different levels. A full blown autistic individual would be showing more symptoms and be unable to function with elaborated tasks meanwhile an Aspie can adapt to society very well and be nearly undetected.
With sociopathy, a full blown sociopath (on the extreme curve) would be someone very dangerous criminal, the ones that directly harm and/or kill people. Meanwhile there are sociopath that function well in society and they can be doctors, lawyers or even CEO's. Those would be on a much lower side of the curve.
