What is wrong with autism though?

Even if the vaccine and autism so-called correlation wasn't proven to a conspiracy theory, I still wonder, what the heck does autism have anything to do with the vaccine?

My mother follows these supposed anti-establishment/anti-government pages on Instagram and most of them are talking about how vitamin D and the lack of sunscreen are better alternatives to a vaccination.

I'm autistic. I got the vaccine when I was much younger. I couldn't talk since I had the vaccine for a few years until I was a bit over 5-1/2 years old, battling the odds from a few doctors. But I had 18-or-so shots. I was crying and my father forced me to stop, so I was nearly tonedeaf for a long time, though I could stutter and "gaga".

My mother is almost very politically on the conservative side of things, in case this helps. And even if she's not, she very much prefers Trump over Biden. I know some of you guys are wondering, oh that's just her opinion. But I've never seen people (on both sides) more vocal about super-controversial issues (and faux-issues) than since the 2016 election.

I never see anyone talking this bad about Down's syndrome or even Alzheimer's. Sure, some Trump supporters might say Joe Biden has dementia or John Fetterman has a stroke, but I never see anybody acting like Down's syndrome is a bad thing.

It all makes sense now. There will never be an honest study done that shows a negative correlation between a drug or vaccine because there is simply far too much money involved with big pharma. Remember the media during covid was sponsored by Pfizer.

A 1996 clinical trial in Kano, Nigeria, involving the Pfizer drug Trovan to treat meningitis resulted in 200 children being disabled and the deaths of 11. Because of these casualties, the Nigerian government sued Pfizer over whether it had appropriately obtained informed consent. Pfizer argued in court that it had met all regulations for drug testing. Many Nigerians mistrust the use of medical vaccines and also refuse to participate in medical trials.

In 2004, University of Minnesota research participant Dan Markingson died by suicide while enrolled in an industry-sponsored pharmaceutical trial comparing three FDA-approved atypical antipsychotics: Seroquel (quetiapine), Zyprexa (olanzapine), and Risperdal (risperidone). Writing on the circumstances surrounding Markingson's death in the study, which was designed and funded by Seroquel manufacturer AstraZeneca, University of Minnesota Professor of Bioethics Carl Elliott noted that Markingson was enrolled in the study against the wishes of his mother, Mary Weiss, and that he was forced to choose between enrolling in the study or being involuntarily committed to a state mental institution. Further investigation revealed financial ties to AstraZeneca by Markingson's psychiatrist, Dr. Stephen C. Olson, oversights and biases in AstraZeneca's trial design, and the inadequacy of university Institutional Review Board (IRB) protections for research subjects. A 2005 FDA investigation cleared the university. Nonetheless, controversy around the case has continued. A Mother Jones article resulted in a group of university faculty members sending a public letter to the university Board of Regents urging an external investigation into Markingson's death.

During the decade of 2000–2010, artificial blood was transfused into research subjects across the United States without their consent by Northfield Labs. Later studies showed the artificial blood caused a significant increase in the risk of heart attacks and death.

Nothing is wrong with autism.

Most people just don't know exactly what Autism is. Unlike Downsyndrome you can't tell if someone has autism by looking at them, and when an autist shows "strange" behaviours in public they aren't understood and just met with inacceptance and intolerance.

To be fair, dealing with people with autism can be challanging, especially for parents who have to deal with them 24/7 for years.
But lots of other people can also be challenging to deal with.

Autism is a handicap, like Down's Syndrome, so how can you ask if there is anything wrong with it? Did you know that approx. 85% of people with autism are unemployed/underemployed? Did you know their life expectancy is 38 years?

I would like a source on your "life expectancy" "38 years" regarding autism. Here are the three different levels of autism, and stage 1 autism should be able to live a bit older than 60. But that is on average.

Where is your evidence that either Bill Gates or Elon Musk have autism? I know that Mr. Musk has made the claim that he has the condition, but I'm not going to just take his word for that. Anyone can say they have it, but how often do they back up their claim?

The theory behind it is that heavy metal poisoning can cause autism and some vaccines have metals in them to get an immune response to make the vaccine work.
