If Trump starts ethically cleansing America does the rest of the world have a duty to stop it?

If we believe the doomsayers on the left, then Trump is the next Hitler and is poised to ethnically cleanse America of various groups. Now I'm not saying I believe that, but I do acknowledge there's a fair few on the far right who'd be keen.

But if America does go down that line, and judging by the hate I see on GAG, we have to accept that possibility, does the rest of the world have a moral duty to step in and stop him or at least take in refugees?

It wouldn't be necessary.

In the United States, one of the fundamental concepts is that the military is under civilian control and that the military is not supposed to be politicized. However, American soldiers (which have a large minority contingent) equally have ingrained in them their oath to defend America against enemies, foreign and domestic.

Previously, during the Trump Administration, the top VIPs in the Defense Department had to have discussions with both allies and potential adversaries about Trump and nuclear weapons hoping to ease everyone's fears. They realize that Trump is such a wild-card nutjob that he instills fear in others because he cannot be predicted and inability to predict creates fear - the kind of fear that can cause you to act first to protect yourself. These DoD VIPs understand this...

So, if Trump becomes unhinged and the Federal Government doesn't do it's job containing him or removing him via impeachment or the 25th Amendment, I expect that they will do the previously unthinkable: overthrow the Presidential administration including possibly killing him and institute martial law for some time, but, more likely, letting the Vice President (who, I suppose would be Vance) take over. There'd be a lot of drama though and I can't predict for certainty what would happen.

Given the number of minorities in the US military including in leadership positions (like current Defense Secretary and former General Lloyd Austin III *), they would have a willingness to act to protect themselves, their families, and their country.

* I started Austin because, if Trump were to regain the Presidency, Trump would likely appoint someone else as Defense Secretary. Mark Esper was Trump's Defense Secretary until just after the election. Trump had fired Esper in a tweet because Esper was not a Yes-man. Esper wrote Trump: “I serve the country in deference to the Constitution, so I accept your decision to replace me.” So, Esper would not be the new DoD Secretary. Esper was replaced by Chris Miller as Acting DoD Secretary since he'd need to be confirmed by the Senate to get the job. I can't really comment on him and I don't know if Trump would nominate him again. Almost certainly, Lloyd would be out being replaced by a White guy.

When Trump was first elected president
I think he was talking with NBC and he said that he did it as a joke he never thought that he was really win

And he started doing a lot of good things for our country
But we only know what we were allowed to know

I've always felt since day one won that this wasn't about Trump being president it was going to be Trump's downfall for everything that he has done in his business career screw people over to get what he wanted when he wanted it and I always felt it he was going to have to pay and that's what this was all about for everything he's done to people.

And then I was pissed because he talked all this crap and he had an opportunity of a lifetime to become the best president of the United States has ever had besides Lincoln and a couple others

And here he goes again he's going to try it again I don't like Trump I don't like what he stands for I don't like how he talks to people
He lies he cheats
And I really don't want him or his voice to represent me as a human being

But if he does win I will do the same as I did last time I will hope and pray that he does all the right things for all the right reasons and not for his ego
When Trump goes in the office I would almost say the same thing like you said about Hitler this is the only thing Trump has left and just like in his business he has to be the top dog and he's not going to be able to walk away from this he wants to be like Putin and Genghis Khan people that rule forever

There are so many people that believe that Trump can't do no wrong that God the universe has Trump's back God put Trump in this position to win to straighten things out

But who knows I see you going to his head one day LOL and just like in his businesses he will destroy it

When Trump ran his businesses in lost them and got them back it wasn't him that did it it was a man named George he was Trump's dad's right hand man

And then Donald Trump hired him he became very wealthy and then fired George and he lost everything he hired George back and got all his things back and his money back.

I don't know if George still works for him or not but he's always been the guy that has bailed Donald Trump out and made him the success that he is. Or at least had his hand in it.

But whatever Trump decides to do it's going to affect not only the United States but it will affect everybody so it's going to be interesting to see what path he decides to take

And what really happens when he takes that path

I think he's kind of probably pissed off a lot of leaders in a lot of different countries so I'm not sure which way it would go

I think it would become a very political situation. Depending on how bad the things are that he hypothetically would do. People would step in at some point but it would take a lot and they wouldn't do it immediately a bunch of time would pass until politicians would agree on if something should be done, and if yes, what should be done. First of all the U. S. is a big Island basically so it would take a ton of ships to get over there and then the navy could use submarines and shit to deroy the ships carrying troops it would take a big coordinated plan to clear a path. But the positive thing is there would be a lot of places to land so the coast could probably not be defended everywhere perfectly and even if they protect the U. S. coast troops could land in Canada and mexico and then fight their way up the coast. It would be a huge war though like world war 3 pretty much and then you have the nuclear weapons that could come into play too if the U. S. would start losing the war but I don't expect any of that to happen.
