Rape Statistics by Country 2024 https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/rape-statistics-by-country
As per NCRB, about 74% of rape cases under Section 376 end up acquitting accused (fake).
In India, a mother of two 15 and 20-year-old boys can file a rape case against her husband for raping her 20 years back.
A women cannot rape children according to law but if she puts something in boy's anus then only, she will get punished in the form of warning.
One thing I see in the west is that if they face any problem, then instead of trying to solve it, they point at someone and say that they are worse than us, which means we are fine. Then western porn industry and adoption of kids from Russia, Africa and Asia to sell it later.
India is a densely populated country with 1.5 billion population. This means more cases and instances compared to countries with less population.

How much percentage of the population is involved in this crime should be mentioned.
Some communities follow Halala.
Whether underreporting happens, yes. But it happens in every country. My point is to solve your problem first instead of talking about other countries.

a woman can file rape case if man refuses to marry her because sec 375 I. P. C. makes non consensual intercourse as rape, and as per section 90, consent given under a deception by man that he will marry her is no consent in eyes of law, and is thus rape.
Further, as per language of section 375, a woman cannot be held guilty of rape of man.
In India, if you are a rich woman then you can put an innocent man behind bars for life under false cases. And rich men can rape women and can go scratch free.
The normal public and men are suffering from fake accusations. Whereas real victims are not getting justice and security.
But courts and govt will make more draconian laws to distract the public from the real problem which is security for all.

Anonymous(18-24)1 yIssue, define rape in this study…. America could have more broad legal definition & accountability of rape than India is all I’m saying. I heard in India ‘marital rape’ is not illegal so, there obviously wouldn’t be a record of it in that case. I want to know what this particular study identifies as rape / decides to count it for one.
Secondly, what are the odds that rape is counted in the first place? What if it goes unrecorded and the data is skewed in that way? Also what year was this study conducted and has the data changed since then?I’m not denying women face rape in the world, what I am saying is I’m shocked that India isn’t #1 since their population is so high. China not being on this list makes sense since their government censors things happening inside it & don’t want the world to know the Hell it puts its citizens through especially women.

Anonymous(18-24)1 yIt's lowballing it when you look at some of the major incidents that happen in India. Women if they report being raped may face reprisals. In one case a 13 year old girl who came to report being gang raped was then raped by the police officer.
Rapes of foreigners have led several countries to issue travel advisories that "women travellers should exercise caution when travelling in India even if they are travelling in a group; avoid hailing taxis from streets or using public transport at night, and to respect local dress codes and customs and avoid isolated areas"

I'd say it's a much bigger issue in India than the US (still a significant problem in both countries though). It's important to call that out and make people aware so they can know the reality of a situation before visiting and to let women who live there know that they shouldn't be afraid to report a crime.
I think Turkey has a big rape problem as well, but it's another conservative country.

Any country or religion that practices forced marriage, incest, sacrifice of raped women, def covers it up.
America does haveo one the largest crime rates in the world, though. Poverty=Crime30 Reply

If you think this will make my opinion on India good, you have a lot of work to do.
The caste system, the non stop intersectional racism, the weird Muslim tensions, the cows, the absolute insane way you behave in western culture especially around white women in the West proves most Indians lack self control and come from an uncivilized developing country like India.
Also packing massive families into studios, smelling like curry, being weak men etc. it's all stereotypes but when your country has such a large population and such wild wealth inequality it makes sense.

1 yFirst of all, any statistics presented this way as absolute numbers instead of the ratio of rapes to the population is immediately suspect.
You need to dig into the details to find out if this makes any sense at all. What is counted as a rape for example? An accusation? A conviction in a court of law? If so how consistent are the laws from one country to another in the comparison? What is considered to be a "rape" from one country to the next? And so on.
This looks more to me like an anti-American hit piece published by those who are jealous an envious of America than any kind of legitimate set of statistics.

Asker1 yWhen comparing rape cases filed in India and the USA relative to their populations, the following data emerges:
1. **India**: According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), there were approximately 31,677 rape cases reported in a recent year[①](https://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Rape_in_India). With an estimated population of about 1.4 billion, this results in a ratio of roughly 2.26 cases per 100,000 people.
2. **USA**: The USA reported approximately 140,000 rapes (including attempted rapes) according to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program[②](https://www. reuters. com/world/india/indias-struggles-with-high-rape-cases-low-conviction-rates-2024-08-15/). Given a population of around 330 million, this translates to about 42.42 cases per 100,000 people.
In summary, the USA has a significantly higher reported rape rate per capita when compared to India, with 42.42 cases per 100,000 in the USA versus 2.26 cases per 100,000 in India. This disparity can be influenced by various factors, including differences in legal definitions, reporting practices, and societal attitudes towards sexual violence in both countries.- 1 y
The last sentence says it all. It's comparing apples and oranges and trying to reach a conclusion that is nebulous at best.

1 yThat's only the reported cases. If we begin counting unreported cases as well, India will top the list. Yes, I say this as an Indian girl.

1 yRelative to population, it seems proportionately small. Although, I expect there’s a lot of underreporting, for the same reason in the graphic (stigma)

India has higher rape instance, and a much lower rape conviction chance than the USA. Despite having 400% the population.11 Reply
Asker1 yThen why is conviction rate so low in USA?
Bet US is either exaggerated by the sick powers that be or false accusations made by devious women.
