Do customers have more rights than employees in customer service jobs?

No legal advice just a curious broad generalisation question. Companies sure like to show or perhaps legally have to show codes of conduct, policies, I mean to me it often seems weird in capitalism and capitalist countries why 'there's the law, and yet, there's every company and its 'company policies" and or "company code of conduct" - uhh, isn't that why laws exist? Lol I don't get what I'm understanding. Why companies need codes or policies, if laws exist anyhow? Seems like a double double weird doubling of the same thing. Lol.
Good question
I don't know either
Perhaps the country's laws require companies or large ones to have, internal policies or internal codes - even though laws exist aka for staff behaviour lol
