Last time, the attempt to steal the presidency involved stopping or disrupting the count on Jan 6, to push the choice of president, on a one vote per state basis, to the 26 of 50 states run by Republicans.

Next time that still won't work, because the Vice President is a Democrat who also abides by the constitution.

It's looking more and more like this year the plan is for Republican-run states where Harris wins to simply delay certifying the results and for Speaker Johnson to refuse to extend the deadline in order that Trump can "win" with far fewer than 270 EC votes.

Different states have different rules. look what is going on in Pennsylvania. The courts had to get involved to extend the time that people can vote because the polls closed early on the last day. In Virginia there were hundreds of non citizens that were registered to vote. The Governor cleared them out of the rolls and was ordered to put them back because they were taken off within 90 days of the election. The Supreme Court had to get involved. It is right in the constitution that only citizens can vote. The democrats still wanted them to be reinstated. All these random , arcane rules need to be reformed. There is no trust in elections anymore and it is getting worse, This election it is just assumed thst the democrats will try to steal it and the challenge is to stop them. This is wrong and needs to be stopped.

So you'd be fine with Virginia ignoring hundreds of thousands of valid ballots, saying "there were hundreds of non citizens that were registered to vote", even if there's no proof of a single non-citizen voting? By the way, the purge also included thousands of citizens, and the law is very clear that the rolls should not be changed within 90 days of the election. The law is also very clear that non-citizens are not allowed to vote. Like you say, it's in the constitution.

If any of those non-citizens was dumb enough to vote, their names and addresses will have been marked as voting, which makes arresting them trivial. Who would risk that for one vote?

There is a box that you check indicating you are not a citizen. Democrats claim that a lot of citizens accidently checked the box and were cleared off the list. If people cannot fill out a simple form without screwing it up maybe they should not vote.

That't not it. The point of the law is to not introduce errors into the rolls too late for them to be corrected. Last time they did this, a quarter of the people they removed were in fact eligible to vote.

Everyone who casts a ballot, who votes in an election, has their name registered at that time. Comparing the state's list of non-citizens against the people who voted after the event would practically guarantee that anyone who isn't eligible can be arrested and charged. That's obvious. So why would anyone risk it for a single vote?

So far, multiple people have been caught cheating in elections. All of them have been Republicans.
