True. There's a couple who are neighbours of ours. The husband is an accountant and the wife a gender therapist, basically she was a GP doctor but transfered to specialise in gender therapy because of how much money is involved. I was horrified listening to them discuss gender reassignment on kids. She gives kids puberty blockers, hormones and recommendations for gender reassignment surgery. Apparently a big stumbling block is the parents getting involved trying to stop it. I asked them what if it was your child 9 year old and they looked uncomfortable but said they would accept their son's decision, I could tell they were lying.

i think this is just one of the many signs that society is going to shit. this should absoltutely be legal and considered child mutilation. but me being an european, where this is not a thing was recently shocked to learn that some states in america have ongoing discussions about having religion in school instead of biology (creationism vs evolution). i really felt like i missjudged how developed humanity is by a huge margin.

Just like kids of those parents grow up pissed at them and often cut contact, I assume with the reverse situation the same would happen. It's awful to force your own child into a role and body that you know is hurting them.
