I would say probably more negative. The culture, sites and geography are very interesting, but a lot of India is extremely underdeveloped and backwards. I don't think I've ever seen such nationalistic people who think so highly of themselves! They only love when you praise them, but can't stand criticism. They think everyone should love them even though they hate others. I've seen Indians flip out over influencers for promoting countries other than India of for posting a mosque. One girl compared some village in Kerala to Venice. They keep talking about how India will be superpower but has nothing to show for it. They think just because they have Bollywood and the Taj Mahal it negates all the bad stuff. Most Indians flip out when you bring up the bad stuff. I heard Indians literally say, "How can you say India is dirty, if we have the cleanest village in Asia?"😂

The country itself? Polluted and overcrowded

The girls? Largely ok but some are exceedingly annoying liars

The guys? 99/100 pervy creeps and power trippers that think the world owes them.

In short, negative. Wouldn't visit if I was paid

The UK is home to a large Indian population. Both Indian men and women are regarded as hard workers and are amiable. I've had a good experience with them, and the Indian food is excellent. However, the reputation of Pakistanis in the UK isn't so fantastic.

on the surface I like their smarts and family values, they are very driven. Their food... taken over by UK, is excellent

But that is the upper caste.

The caste system is terrible and I hear the country largely overcrowded and polluted.

Old culture is impressive... they have survived many hard times.

I do appreciate india traditional dance and dress but

India joining russia in brics was a much more important bad thing. Also

negligence of a growing population without dealing with it.

Cities are crowded. Rivers are so dirty if you bathe in them you are dirtier than when you needed to bathe.

I spent four months studying there. I think it could be better, as it is too conservative. In that movie "White Tiger" the Indian guy has figured out the key to India's future prosperity, stop saying "we are a family". You have to see the context to fully understand this, but a society cannot thrive if it neglects individuality.

I know this makes me look racist but I work in IT and see American jobs outsourced to India and have to deal with tech support lines tht are operated in India and I can hardly understand them.

Indian has an interesting history and culture but modern day India seems very overpopulated with many slums and not very friendly people with the men being the worst. I like Indian women a lot more.

I have a different perception of Indian women, neither positive or negative I suppose.
